This Gothic Funeral Coach is a case in point: to even begin to describe the amount of fun I had while designing this project is beyond my ability. Yep. 😈
I've had the kit stashed for over a YEAR, and all that time ideas have been fermenting and percolating...I knew I couldn't pass up the opportunity to pull out all the stops and go crazy with it!

This is so absolutely over the top! I wish you would have shown this about 1 month ago. My nephew is leaving for an internship at Disney in Florida and we are having a huge Disney going away party for him. One of his favorite movies is Darby O’Gill and that scene with the death coach looks just like your coach. It would have been so fun to have this setting out with all our decorations! We still have funerals with these in East London. There's black for adults and white (grey) horses for children's funerals
I actually have a real Friesian horse...he doesn't do funerals but if I did before he does he can take me to the Kirk yard Lol! (He is at home in Scotland, it's impossible to afford horse livery in London unless you are serious Aristocracy. I have been using that funfoam stuff to make harness for my 1:6 horse that I am customising. (I was going to make him a fleabitten grey but I really fancy trying to do one of These for a single horse to pull in 1:6 so he may well end up black like my real horse Merlyn. (I suppose it's probably for the best because Friesians are my favourite breed!)
Thanks again for all these amazing ideas. I really need to share yours and Ara Bentley 's channels with my Instagram friends who also do 1:6 action figure photography (I am not really into Barbies but I do have some and some Integrity heads as well as my action figure /Obitsu hybrids, I noticed that you said the cemetery or gothic windows would be cool in the Playline scale but it isn't Barbies that I really collect. It's Phicen, Obitsu and other action figures which are a bit more realistic and really need nice realistic stuff like the miniatures you make). Actually those little earring dangles are quite authentic, I don't know if you knew it but they closely resemble the Horse Brasses worn to deflect the Evil Eye!
You have a Friesian???? OMG. The most noble of horses....and it must be so difficult to be parted from him!
My first (and only) horse was a Percheron, and sitting astride that Monster Beast was like being on top of the world! xoxo
I love draught horses...they always look amazing! Strangely enough one of my neighbours sadly died just after I wrote this comment and I walked out the front door to two beautiful Friesians with the whole funeral procession feathers, glass coach the whole bit. It was sad but I love seeing them as they remind me of Merlyn (who isn't as well behaved and is a secret mud puppy...he usually waits until just after I finish grooming him before he rolls in the mud!...yes they look very noble but I see the other side too! I would have loved a Percheron!

Another mind blowing, over the top creation. In my mind, I've traveled to New Orleans as the funeral procession winds it's way through the streets behind the musicians, with the mourners following behind... slowly they make their way to an elaborate cemetery filled with stately trees draped in moss, and statuary scattered throughout, an ornate, wrought iron fence enclosing the premises... will this be a peaceful resting place? or when the moon is full, will the restless spirits rise, to dance and sing, in the misty moonlight... will a passerby hear and think it's just the sighing of the wind, as they pull their coat a little tighter and increase their footsteps, just a little.... Well, you've done it again... you've gone and made me wax poetic, as you create a visual, that makes words pop out of my head onto the page.... I love your videos

Another person with less than no background in horse tack, carriages, and Victorian mourning gives a thumb down. The kit is lacking to start with: no turning axle, no tongue so the horses can draw it, badly misproportioned driver's box.
Ah, well, nonetheless, this project was great fun, Holly. I understand that there is a company in the UK that offers a more realistic model.
