My mom got her first tattoo in her late sixties. She has wanted to get one for years and always chickened out so when I went to get my first one she offered to pay for it if I found a good place and went with her to get her first so we got them done together.
I got my first one at 18, 2nd at 19, 3rd and 4th at 21. 5th at 40, 6th at 41, and 7th at 42. I was all over the place 😂
This is me right now. I’m 33 and got all four of my tattoos by the time I was 19 then haven’t gotten anymore but really want to get something done soon. I may end up waiting til 40 cuz I can’t make up my mind lol
@@jessicacolgrave4082 that was me. There wasn't anything I really wanted, till my sister called me and told me she was getting me a tattoo for my birthday. So we got matching ones. Then my grandma passed a few weeks later, and my mama passed 3 months after that. So I got a memorial tattoo for my mama, and my most recent is a memorial tattoo for my mama, grandma, and great grandma. And it has my mamas and grandmas handwriting in it. I'm going to get something done for my grandpa too, eventually.
I got my first tatt at 38 memorial tatt for my mom and than got my 2nd tatt at 39 and for my 3rd tatt another memorial tatt for my mom just don’t know when I’m going to get it yet and still doing research/trying to a piece I want
I just got my first tattoo a few weeks ago at 35. I was a pretty different person in my 20's, especially early 20's, so I'm glad I waited.
I'm 23, just recounted, I have 30 tattoos (first at 20)
I was with my brother when he got his first tatt at 18 I was 8, knew very early that I was gonna have tattoos all over my body, don't regret a single one, even tho I definitely have some bad ones but they have a good story behind.
my second tattoo was on my hand I get why some people think that's not a good idea, definitely can be for some people. I knew my life wouldn't ever really fit in the norms, I'm okay with that
the best age is subjective and depends on the individual. whenever it feels right is a good time for some; but definitely gotta consider the impact it might have on your future, and if you're someone who may have a tendency of rethinking or regretting actions there's no shame in taking your time and being 100% sure you want what you're going to get for (hopefully) a lifetime . to each their own
I got my 1st tattoo at 29 years old. The 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th ones at 30. The 6th one at 31. The 7th at 32. The 8th at 33 & the 9th at 34. I'm glad I started late :) I don't think I'm done yet with tattoos 😉
First time I stepped in a shop to get tattooed I was 14. Since then, I have sleeves and don't regret any of my tattoos. I still think people should wait till they're an adult. Their brain is more developed, and they know the risk of certain tattoos and what effect it'll have on their future.
I got my first at 53. Once I started, I got 4 within a year. And these are not too small. Forearm sized or maybe a bit smaller. They all have meaning for me and I really like them all, but I kinda wish I got some earlier so I would have collected them over time rather than all at once. Getting them older does have the advantage that I have the money to get good quality from a great artist and I am more concerned about the end product rather than the price.
I got my tattoo first at 18 but I had been designing it since I was sixteen. It’s one of my favorite till today (I’m 25 now)

First four were back-to-back (20, 21, 22, 23), and I’ll be getting my fifth one in about a week at 27

I can’t obviously confirm I don’t think I’d regret my tattoos. I’m 22 and I started at 18,started with stuff that meant a lot to me and then just nice pieces of flash. I always made sure to go to good artists and my interests have stayed the same since I was a kid. Plus I think it helps that I didn’t go through a rebellious teenage phase lol

I got my first tattoo at 18, but I started with a very personal one I had been planning for years and knew I wouldn't regret. I'm in my 30s now and it's still my favourite, honestly. I still think 25 is probably the right answer though.
Best age is after 30 when you become a well rounded individual with formed taste that has been through some things. Before 30 you dont know what you like, everyone is finding themselves and lets not kid ourselves everyone's an idiot before 30

Glade I waited because my idea would have been dumb especially in the emo world where….I mean I still have the same idea but allot more thought out. I really hope I can finish my sleeve to my hands by 33 but I said the same thing at 23 so eh who knows.

Around 25 is the perfect range but a 15yo tattoo is always a good story
