Actually they are the best. I work for ups and I drive about an hour and 15 min just to get to my route (idyllwild Ca) . Rural routes mean you get less stops, more driving which is easier on your body as a whole. I got out with 75-85 stops while others are going out with double sometimes triple 😂
I just learned a new trick with the seatbelt👌and the passenger seat packages. Finished day 2 today and I did everything very technically. Shut off engine, unfasten seat belt, turn on hazards, look for packages in the back, close doors, lock van, walk up deliver--- Unlock van, turn engine on, turn off hazards, fasten seatbelt, start next stop. It's really time consuming. Thing is, i think they track you if you dont turn off the engine on every stop I have no idea( if it affects my "fico score"). It's super tike consuming.
@@andrew09808 doesnt that take more time to find the packages? I'm going to try his style. Divide envelopes and boxes and put it in the passenger seat in the front. Idk, I'm just testing stuff to hit at least 24 deliveries an hour.

I just got my invite to an interview, for a new station under construction in South Florida. After a day of that, I'm not convinced that I'll be able to do that two days in a row. I watched you in time lapse, and I was wondering how much more, when you were about half way through. At the risk of sounding bigoted, it certainly looks like you were in a predominantly middle class area, devoid of sketchy neighborhoods where you would have to lock up, at every stop. I'm in South Florida, if I leave the window open with the van running, it won't be there when I get back. LOL
This job will kill your soul, at first you will work hard because you want customers to get their stuff but you will start to loose your mind driving fast and delivery to farms at night with dogs barking at you etc and wonder how are these stops not going down, I don't take any breaks I pee in a bottle in the van how is this even possible to finish? And sometimes the map will make you do 3 stops here take you 5 miles away then bring you back to houses next door a couple of hours later... However when times are tough the job is there for you that is one thing I can't fault without too many hoops to jump to get in

Yes. The app has your whole day programmed in it. Sometimes it's stupid and freezes, like he said, or the stops are routed weird and you have to manually reorder, but it's got everything in one place. It's a nifty app when it wants to work right. Don't worry, it's a super easy job and you'll get it in no time! Good luck!
Go to “my itinerary” then go to map and you’ll see the packages you’ll be delivering in that same block or area and you can just organize and skip the next route to deliver the ones that are closer to you
I'm still waiting on my online class to open up so I can finish my training and start working. How long did you wait after your drug test came back to start online training?
Do they organize the packages inside the totes for you? The Department I work for doesn't and it seems like that would eat up a lot of time trying to organize those to match the itinerary.
Seems like a decent job. Do you guys receive packages from the customer for any reason, or do you only deliver to the customer? Do you do business deliveries as well?
I 100 % sure I'm gonna apply to Amazon delivery but I just got like 2 questions . What happens if you don't deliver all the packages ? Is there a lunch break and how long is it. Great video and editing gonna check your content dude , keep up the hard work

Log in to mentor on your personal device, maybe even get an older phone if possible, once you check everything off and get to the "be a SMART driver today!" screen, Close the app, and set the phone in the glove box or somewhere solid and leave it there, keep it charging so it won't die or it won't record the route. I use an old crappy S6, its accelerometer isn't that good anymore so it's less likely to record hard braking acceleration or speeding lol good luck.

Day after or few days later your package show up at your footstep. I thought my package got deliver to wrong house or got lost somewhere and i end up calling amazon.
Why does it matter how he loads his van? Everyone loads it differently and in whatever way makes sense to them. As long as he's able to get to everything in a timely manner and he knows how everything is organized, who cares?

With our dps no matter if your in a prime sprinter, transit, or unmarked rental our entire fleet is equipped with ementor. It not only records those things I mentioned before but yes every violation will take away from your score. And it doesn't take little points its takes big chucks -35 etc
@@Bee2TheRian He’s right, Dispatchers can see all of that. You’re not in a prime or a step van though, you’re in a rental so it may not be monitored.
I never even knew that you had a UA-cam channel. Good luck and best wishes to you bud!
i work for amazon in the uk, and its basically the same but we have bigger "totes" as you called them and we have about 250-300 parcels per routr with about 160-180 stops. but i wish our vans where auto
My fellow Amazonian!! I deliver too. Peak season is here. My truck has been stacked from top to bottom all the way to the front. Hope you have a good peak
Question how does this work exactly i have interview Saturday im a lil lost
@@Socialg35 check out UA-camr called Iamthejuanandonly he has has some good videos on there explaining the processes
@Eduardo Vasquez yeah I’ve been getting 350 this week. Luckily it’s all on my normal route so nice big ass small streets. Enough to park anywhere. You’re lucky. We can’t use our PTO since it’s peak.
@Eduardo Vasquez recently started driving the step vans. So makes it fun for me at work.
Driving an amazon step van makes things way easier since I can keep the doors in neighborhoods. I’ve literally done 44 stops within an hour
How much did you make?
My packages nor totes were always in order. And the maps would have me deliver to an address that wasnt there lol
I was expecting to wait for him for the first delivery, but then he edited and came right back lol
No edits, im sonic fast 😄
I hare delivering to apartments
Same, especially the ones that have key cards to access because the person never answers their phone so you are going to have to reattempt
Damn that one stop buddy was off the grid in the sticks 😂
Does amazon & DSPs deliver on holidays? thanksgiving, Christmas etc?? Thank ya
I dont know about christmas but yes to all the other ones
I am Dsp and he breaking so many rules
You cannot put packages in the front seat with you.
You should scan package till you get to the residents front dioor or delivery point
Turn off vehicle is tracked and increases your score and helps you get raises and incentives
I would write this guy up if I was his DSP
Everyone i know puts packages in the front of the vans
@@Bee2TheRian just because everyone does it, does not make it right
Whats wrong with putting packages up front?
Worry about your self and not others.
@@MichaelAMyers1957 you sound like a third grader.
At my station we use mini vins instead of bags. only a bunch of selected drivers get to drive the big vans the rest drives small vans full of packages. We don’t even eat and we speed like crazy that’s the only way we are able to complete our routes on time. I lost 20 pounds in a mouth
Everyone at my station has to take a mandatory lunch or we’ll get docked and we all start lunch at the same time to keep things flowing.
How much does this job pay?
Very helpful video! Looks similar to amazon flex just longer routes. Any interest in doing a guest video on gig nation? A lot of our subscribers have are interested in DSP delivery. We’d be willing to pay for the video and I’m sure you’d get some new subs as well!
I would be interested in that for sure
You park in the middle of the road, I thought you had to pull into people's driveways, I also thought leaving the van on took points away from the app
They told us never to pull into anyone's driveway unless it was one of those long quarter mile driveways.
@@BoilingKoolaid I second. Training says to never pull into their driveway. Also eliminates a back-up.
@@BoilingKoolaid I could not care less 😂 I'm not walking up a long driveway, and they can complain all they want about reversing, but they've never done anything to us about it 🤷♀️
So the rabbit guides you right away to the next stop and it's programmed all day untill your finished ? Stop after stop? Address after address ? The rabbit updates for you to just simply drive and drop off after each delivery?
I'm getting anxiety closer towards my first day :(
Good luck!
Go to “my itinerary” then go to map and you’ll see the packages you’ll be delivering in that same block or area and you can just organize and skip the next route to deliver the ones that are closer to you
So you won’t go back and forth
I'm still waiting on my online class to open up so I can finish my training and start working. How long did you wait after your drug test came back to start online training?
Couple days for me.
Do they organize the packages inside the totes for you? The Department I work for doesn't and it seems like that would eat up a lot of time trying to organize those to match the itinerary.
Hi everybody, anyone knows the track which starts around 10min?
I like it so far, worked 5 shifts.
He’s fired for not wearing seatbelt
And fired for having windows down and having packages in the front seat. Someone can stick their hand in the truck and grab the packages.
@@randybrutus5828 yup
Seems like a decent job. Do you guys receive packages from the customer for any reason, or do you only deliver to the customer?
Do you do business deliveries as well?
Only If They Canceled The Order, Business Closed or No Access. We Deliver To Customers , Business & Lockers.
@@OGandCo. Thanks for the reply.
I 100 % sure I'm gonna apply to Amazon delivery but I just got like 2 questions . What happens if you don't deliver all the packages ? Is there a lunch break and how long is it.
Great video and editing gonna check your content dude , keep up the hard work
if you cant deliver all your stuff before it gets too late they send another driver to "rescue" you by taking some packages. 2 paid 15 min breaks, 30 min for lunch
Sounds like a good business name called I AINT NO BITCH!
You are working awesome brother
What camera did you shot this on, & what microphone? That’s if you used an external one. Also how long was this shift?
Gopro hero 7 and surprisingly no external mic
Are you allowed to listen to music while delivering or how do you keep yourself entertained??
Yes you're as long as you're driving responsibly... you can always turn on the radio or how have wireless headphones on you :)
1. no seatbelt fine
2. window down while out of cab, no cab, no packages, all gone, thats in the uk anyway
great video though.
"Asians"?
I caught one peeing in our driveway
I'm starting tomorrow. Any tips?
Also do you work your days consecutively?
And With The Time Change When We Get Sent Far Out Into The Outskirts And That Shit Is Tough When In Straight Backwoods & Those Dim Ass Step Truck Lights....Man Them AtHawk Routes Or Whatever Suck...
How would someone go about applying to be a driver? Also, does anyone know the difference between driving for Amazon directly or through a third party partner?
Just apply at Amazon online and a third party driving service will contact you, everything is basically under amazon, they act as a parent company to the third party partners
you need bachelors though
Don’t apply
Do they give you a phone?
Or can you use your own device for navigation?
I like how the pkgs had seatbelts on longer then the driver! Lol
There are times when you get totes that do not even have the correct packages in them and it messes up everything.
I didnt know we could wear branded hats.
I do they haven't ever said anything to me about it.
I always turn the vehicle off you never know what could happen (unless it’s freezing outside, then I don’t care to leave it running) And you have no seat belt on 🤦🏾♀️ lol.
Bruh I've ordered so much shit from Amazon during this pandemic, I'm just shock you haven't been to my house yet
Cool video bro. Be safe on the road
I wonder how do you get into the apartment complex when they have a gate code at the main entrance?
Sometimes they put the gate codes in the delivery instructions.. if not you are supposed to contact the customer and ask. Never had this happen yet though
how many stops do you make in a day??
Im exhausted just watching you. How long is ur day? What time do u start?
Damn...They Don't Want Us Keeping Any Packages In The Front Seat With You Period. Step-Trucks & Van's
Geez put ya seatbelt on 🤣🤣
LOL your so mellow. All the other videos are upset and complaining. This was refreshing. What would you say the average weight of a tote is?
I have no idea 😄... 20 pounds?
Hey do these have backup cameras by any chance?
Yup. Of course
I just brought something the other day and it says it’s been delivered but I don’t have anything. so I’m wondering if that person just marked it as delivered and probably forgot about the package ... I mean I see you guys have to scan it. I wonder were it went.
Try to do it in Italy. You can't leave packages at the door like is done in usa

Too much of a hassle when you have to get out of the car over 150 times plus all your stops are like on the next street

Hi I m Mizanur Rahman I m from Bangladesh. I am working in Dubai under as a taxi driver ( Dubai taxi) if I would work under of the amazon driver what should I have to do ? Could plz explain to me plz sir .
You're supposed to scan when you come to their address...not in front of driveway. It messes up with geolocation.
Ive had the same route everyday for almost 7 months, i do that everyday. Nothing has changed the geolocation
Do you get paid automatically 10 hours when you finish early or you get paid the amount of hours you do?

Do you have any tricks for the Mentor app?
do not have the phone that is running mentor app camera facing u... this avoids getting any distraction marks against you...
@@EddyTee99 thank you eddy
what's the job title name so I can apply?
You can find a ton of postings on Indeed. A lot say "Delivery Driver" or you could try "driver associate" at amazon
This happen to me couple of times. when you get notification said the driver dropped off you package but when you went outside there is nothing. Day after or few days later your package show up at your footstep. I thought my package got deliver to wrong house or got lost somewhere and i end up calling amazon.
Immediate termination for latching seat belt like this

as an amazon driver trainer, please do not load your vans like this, this is a no no, this you will get in trouble for
How else would you suggest i load my van?
Why does it matter how he loads his van? Everyone loads it differently and in whatever way makes sense to them. As long as he's able to get to everything in a timely manner and he knows how everything is organized, who cares?
Go cry about it Xavier, are you a snitch ? You going to call his company and report him over the way he does stuff ???
How many hrs per day do you work
****Don't keep packages in front!! That's how theft happens!!
Again, ive been doing this for 7 months. I am mostly in developments where my van is in eyesight at all times. I havent had one issue with theft of my van
What if you need to use the restroom while making deliveries ?
You need to find the closest public bathroom to you, like gas stations. Its a pain for us girls around that time of the month but you get used to it. I would not recommend doing this as a career tho. Its very demanding. You have to complete at least 20 deliveries in under 1 hour. And sometimes the GPS sucks and takes you to random roads. Most.of the people making more than 20 deliveries work through their lunch breaks instead of actually taking a break.
