No problem! I just try to look on the positive side of everything no matter what happens, and that mindset has got me decently far lmao. Especially while delivering packages in the summer heat
I’ll be starting my delivery job soon! Gonna go through the training after I pass the drug test. I’m watching all these videos to get the hang of it. Just happy to be employed at this point haha.
I’m right with ya. Waiting on my background check to finish.
Same, but FedEx.

@@kksheff9296 what do you think about it? Would you work as one?
@@kksheff9296 I'm only watching them to train myself. I like to know what I'm getting into rather than be and feel lost whenever I start.
I currently work for amazon here in Palm Beach Florida. In my amazon van (not rental) I avg 250-320 packages. With 170-200 stops. The stop numbers are off due to group stops which means we do 190-220 plus stops a day. Yes it's hard and exhausting but at the same time there Is no need to run lol. Amazon does only give you 3 min a stop but if you pace yourself you'll finish it easy. I do however agree. Apartments suck especially when they group them together. And the buildings are 400 feet apart. But all in all the person that puts these stops in the rabbit (or computer) needs a job evaluation for real
Why is everywhere but Florida always getting dream routes lol I feel you because I’m in Tampa and it be like that here
I service psl/ Fort Pierce and our average is 185 to 200 stops and 280-300 packages I agree on the rabbit system needing an upgrade. We have motorola cell phones as ours but want to get different devices but don't know what to get.
@@nathanthompson8108 same in Columbus Ohio most I've had is 315 packages 203 stops, rescued after so 350 packages for the day 233 stops got done in 6 hours! But we have nice Samsung phones with the flex app
Bowie Maryland, we get 50-150 stops and 100+ packages
Never got 170. usually 130 to 150 but our routes are mixed with big houses with long driveways.
I love to take the pack image with the smile upside down.
i do that as well
😂 😂
@Darkfarfetch just cus you to ignorant to get it doesn’t mean the grammar was that terrible. They said they take the delivery images with the Amazon logo smile upside down. What was hard about that nazi?
600th sub feels good. Hilarious video tho bro with those clips also being very informative.
Bro I used to be an amazon delivery driver. 250 packages and 160 stops is normal. Your route that day seems pretty condensed too which is VERY nice. Sometimes you don't get routes that have stops that close together. I've always rescued quite a bit. I've worked for them for about 2 years. You always seem to be rescuing the same people. I think I've only ever been rescued twice since working there. It also seems like the better you are at your job, the more often you have to pick up the slack from everyone else. It becomes tiring when you've done 150+ stop route and then have to take 20-40 more stops from someone else.
Yeah this is a pretty average route I'd say. I'm not gonna lie, I've definitely been rescued here and there but I've done the rescuing a lot too. Most of the time I have a pretty condensed route, but honestly I'd rather have less stops and far distances.
Is Rescuing other driver mandatory?
Where do you work at now bro?
They don't show you what delivering in dark is like house numbers be faded on the ground and some houses the numbers not on the mailbox by the curb it's a real task at night and it's start to get darker earlier it's October
Watching this video has me hype about starting as a delivery driver soon. I love to drive and delivering smiles is my thing already. 😄
For me, it's something about being out on the road and amongst the people. You get to uplift and touch their lives up close. Even if it is just a smile. Dope gig! 😁
Hey man thanks for the comment! It's a good job for the most part. Being out on the road on your own is great and making people happy with the deliveries is even better. Although the job does get pretty demanding tho with how many packages you get haha 😅 if you have a day with more than 160 stops it gets kinda crappy lmao. thank you for watching!

LMAO it's all good lol. Everyone be lazy from time to time
Finally a Delivery driver thats not complaining about how they have 200 packages! Like dude that should be an easy day lol. I got 305 packages yesterday and was able to deliver them all in 4 and a half hours! I had the most packages that day and finished first at my dsp
To be fair, I'm not nearly that fast. I think the main thing is that I'm just positive/optimistic about most things I do lol. 200 packages for myself is a pretty easy day, but some people aren't on that level yet as well lmao
deltaI78 I feel like alot of people make this job harder for themselves than it needs to be
Took me 8 hours to deliver to 69 stops today. Crappy route.
Angel Gutierrez let me guess all apartments and grouped stops? Im always scared when i get very few stops because there is a reason usually for that lol
xCROSSFINGERSx Nah. It was crappy rural area with muddy trails for roads. I got stuck today for an hour it was lame af. Them vans aren’t made for off-road.
I love how USA do things, so easy and straight forward with their automatic transmission vans. But over here in the UK we have manual transmission Van's which make every thing so much longer!
We have both. Depends on what company and which kind of van or truck you drive.
After having done 1400+ Door dash deliveries. Amazon seems easy in comparison.
The stress of finding good orders, Worrying about making enough.
And not knowing for sure how many hours you will work.
It's really nice just going to the site, loading up the van and distributing it out.
the mindset is really the most important. I worked at many retail jobs and let me tell anyone reading this.
I'd rather deliver anyday lol. Do your job right and you're left alone most the time.
It is nice to have the autonomy when working for delivery. I heard that they are starting to put cameras inside of the Amazon trucks tho, not a good move at all

For your lunch break, do you get to choose what time frame it is? And is the food some thing you pick up yourself, or Amazon provides it for you?
You can have it whenever you want, but I recommend you get as much as your route done before you eat. Some people don't even eat lmao. The food is something you bring yourself, I wish Amazon gives me food lol
Is your break optional or forced and paid / not paid

Thank you for watching! It's not too bad, but to be fair I only worked for 4 months and I went back to school after the summer lmao. Definitely not something I'd do for a long time but it was a good experience.
I still be watching videos of delivery. I just finished my training . So now I’m excited. Only because I haven’t been working for 2 months since I had my son in sept .
Hey might be a silly question but I work at the airport and got a family u think I’d had a good decent long run doing amazon delivery or is this just a quick experience and go type of job like post mates etc
In my opinion this is more of a quick experience and go type job like postmates. I only work this job seasonally. You can definitely do this long term, but I honestly wouldn't do it myself. The pay is probably not good enough if you have a family and it is hard work on your body for not enough pay in my opinion. The turnover rate in this kind of job is pretty damn high. If you work this job for a year or so that's already pretty long for a lot of delivery drivers. All of our team leads/most veteran dudes have been working no longer than 2.5 years so that can give you a good estimate of the quickness of the job. That being said, it's still good experience but if you're looking for something more long term and stable I'd look elsewhere.
it depends which DSP your with. i’ve been doing it since 2014 and still enjoy it. like i said every DSP is different in pay, benefits etc. everyone come in sprinting like they got something to prove that they’re fast. i do everything by the book and still get done less than 10hrs that includes my 1 hr break
Hey man thanks for the video. Just wanna ask if you guy covered an health insurance by the company?
Not sure about health care. I believe if you work for Amazon for a certain amount of time they do provide health care but this job was only for like 4 months
i start in blue springs MO in 5 days, im nervous for driver training but excited for the work
I deliver in mostly inner cities in south eastern Massachusetts I don’t really deliver to the farm towns which sucks so it makes 160 to 180 stops seem like it takes a lifetime to finish cause it’s mostly one ways and crowded street parking it’s hard to maintain 20 to 25 stops an hour
Luckily I never had to deliver in Chicago. It's a nightmare I've heard from friends who deliver in the city.
@@deltaI78 yeah I’m just about to switch DSPs and the one I’m going to is in a much better and SAFER area
I’m starting soon.. just waiting to do a drug test. But I have a question, you can’t use your personal phone to send a text message or a call ever when you’re on route?
You can, I would just not text and drive of course! If you need to send a text message, take a call, or anything, just pull over to the side of the road and take a minute break to do so. There is an hour worked into your day that you can use as breaks/lunch.

How heavy are the packages I have 2 herniated discs on my back and need a job that doesn’t require too much heavy lifting u think this job does a lot of that?
The heaviest packages will get is 40-50 pounds. However, you will most likely never run into anything that heavy, most of the stuff is less than 2 pounds if even.
Wow - what a well done video. I've watched a bunch and yours is the best. I started driving when my hotel closed due to the pandemic. Been at it now for about 4mos. One thing that still messes me up is a clean scan in- we're only permitted 25m and it seems like most days I get my 20-25 totes in and inevitably I realize after loading the 300+pkgs there is a tote that I missed, so I need to go back and crawl on top of them to find the one that I missed. Any advice for that situation?
First off, that's a ton of bags. Second, I have definitely been in that situation before. I don't know if you do this already but you should scan all of the bags before you even put them in the truck. Count how many you put in. If you are missing one and you are absolutely sure it's in your van, do your best to find it, but at the end of the day, you can just take off and find it later. Not good practice but at that time you just have to move lol
But thank you so much for watching, I appreciate it 😤
Same here started in march during pandemic got furlough from hotel its awesome i like it i live in sc reAlly hot though i usually do 120 stops a dAy to 140 no more than 230 packages so far

So, how many days do you typically get off a week as a driver and are there any perks or benefits for working for Amazon?
I worked 4 days, Sunday Mon Tues Thurs. So three days off. After working for 90 days you get health care and dental benefits, there are more but benefits too but you have to work for a bit longer before that
Once the cameras come, say bye to music

@@deltaI78 you’re done working? You retired?
I’m moving back north from the south, I work for a DSP but I’m wondering how the winters are??? You’re in Chicago and Detroit gets about the same weather.
The winters in Chicago get pretty damn rough tbh. Temperature in the teens and snow from November to March. Maybe longer. I really like winter myself, but to be transparent I just work seasonal (summer/holiday) so I haven't worked the winter just yet. I'm not really looking forward to it honestly lol. I love the winter but I do have some apprehensions to driving the truck in the snow.

So when you’re loading the bags of all the packages in the van i noticed that they have different colors, do they mean anything? Like if the blues are the first ones to go or like which is the biggest load of the packages. Another thing lol do the vans have cruise control to make it easier for you not to always speed and get you in trouble by the app?
Nah, the tote colors don't mean much - it's just for identifying which bag you are currently working from in the flex app.
Every van has cruise control except for the Mercedes Benz sprinters
Cheshire Hat wrong. My merc sprinter has cruise control.
@@evi1pau1 You guys use the 2500 sprinters or something else?
how do you know which bag to start with? and you have to scan every package when your loading or just the bag?

I like the bag you guys get. I work for ups and stuff falls of our shelf’s and get all mixed up.
Yeah definitely! Amazon seems to be more organized then ups, but because ups get those big loads and big objects, they can not use this method.
Exactly lol. ofc we deliver a lot of small packages so the bag system is really nice.
Yeah, but UPS makes way more money and has waaaaay better benefits since they're unionized.
@@prescottsims245 I work there you think I don’t know that? All’s I said is the bags are a good idea not that anyone should work there.
@@henryk1031 that wasn't directed towards you. Someone was saying UPS has to deliver heavier and bigger boxes than Amazon. So, I was letting them know that UPS is still a far better company to work for.
Lunch???
I have never taken lunch.
Must be nice
Same I had to skip it and piss in fucking bottles.
Right that is what I was thinking. What’s a lunch.
lol you guys are the once that will quit one day and complain or try to sue amazon when yourself decided to skip lunch and piss in bottles. if you didn’t know the faster you go the bigger the routes get. if you maintain a reasonable pace and bring back packages they will lower the stop count or package count. think of it as a marathon not a sprint. ask yourself why are you driving recklessly, risk of injuring yourself, for some packages to be delivered? if your DSP is pushing you to do that then they are wrong Amazon doesn’t want you to do any of these.
@@russ1376 Of course DSP is pushing everyone they don't care about people and treat them like slaves. They're there to get their numbers up, they'll easily have a 70% attrition rate if it means higher numbers from the ones who stay and take it. There's a reason why an article said that so many amazon delivery drivers piss in bottles and take no lunch breaks. I was even rushing and still not making the delivery times. It might have had something to do with my bad back as to the delay, I'm also not short, unlike most delivery drivers who can easily get their legs out of the van fast. I honestly wouldn't blame people for suing Amazon who work there, there's so much bad behavior that goes on it's not even funny.
It was kind of a chill job esp for socially fucked up people who need to be alone or else they explode with authority figures micro managing them in other jobs. However I never wanted it to be anything other then temporary so it was fine I left early. Besides you can do it again with another DSP if you ever wanted to which I wouldn't recommend anyone unless they're skinny young, not tall and really fit, and like working alone on menial shit.
Lunch is required if not we get wrote up
There’s no way I’m I’m rushing with all those packages
Awesome video! Keep up the good work!
R the packages in the back in alphabetical order? How do u sort that out if they r not? It will take an ass long time?
They are sorted already when you get to the warehouse. You don't need to do any sorting as a driver.
Working as a delivery station fulfillment center sorter is worse dude. I have to carry tons of those at a fast pace and it takes a toll, after sorting them in totes/racks we have to place those totes onto those cart racks and stack them. A lot of heavy lifting. Then we have to refill all the racks again with more totes. And you get the random newbie supervisor who thinks they the shit really is annoying. Even though I only worked there for 2 days so far I’m really debating on applying as a driver instead.
Edit: i actually like it now
Worked for 2 weeks so far and I enjoy it haha. 🤣🤣🤣
I was working overnight sorting the packages, that shit is nuts.. did that for 2 weeks and applied to do delivery, let’s say I like it way more than sorting the packages.. I say go for it, it might suck a little in the beginning but once you get your rhythm down you’ll be set.
The thing I’ve noticed working at amazon if they see if you’re doing well they’ll give you more lol. I work out here in SD and that shit sucks lol, we have alleys, a shit load of apartments, houses in the back of the main houses.. 3756 1/2 lol sometimes it’s hard to locate lol cause I’m like where in the fuck is the entrance lol.
When I was first driving, most of the sorters are just sitting around waiting for the trucks to pull in, so my first thoughts were like, "man, I'm out here busting my ass and these guys are just chillin!" But i didn't realize that most of their job was done many hours ago. I can't imagine sorting all of those bags and stacking them in the racks and carts. The driving is pretty fun but hard. I can't really make a fair comparison unless I do the warehouse work too lol.
facts lol. I can definitely relate to not knowing where entrances are, even in the Chicago suburbs it can get confusing.
@@deltaI78 I actually enjoy working at the warehouse now haha
Like it’s hella physical but I got used to it already. We wait for the drivers to pull up when we are finished with work and got time to kill which is at the end of our shift. My team usually finish hella fast now because it’s routine now, our manager would be like “wtf y’all are done?” And I usually ask for more work to do which would mostly be helping drivers load the trucks.

@@sethrobinson28 lmao HELL NAH 😂 I'm done with this shit lol. Fun while it lasted tho
Cool video brother. Be safe on the road
Thank you my guy. And will do
Great video man, I start a class on Monday at 8AM , does every bag has their certain amount of packages right ?, so that means each bag means a certain route until you finish emptying the bag ,or you have to look around and open different bags every time you make a delivery ☹️? Hope you see my comment fast I’m nervous
Hey thank you for watching! Yeah so you only do one bag at a time thank God lol. You finish a bag and then you move on to another bag. The route is already organized in that way which is really cool. The only thing is that the oversize packages (ones that don't fit into the bag) will be ones you have to look for, but they are marked which bags they are attached to. Hope that helps! You're going to do well out the bro
@@deltaI78 thanks bro !!!!
@@deltaI78 so if its too big for the bag where is it?
Whats your average hours a week? Is there a certain time limit you must deliver the packages or you know stretch the day to make more hours
You should technically get 40 hours every week for full time. At least that's how much I had. You have 8 hours every day to deliver the packages. You are already paid for the 8 hours so if you finish early you can go home and you're paid for the full day and I would not recommend you stretch out the hours like that lol. Get it done as quick as you can.
Dope vlog by the way bro, another fellow amazon delivery driver from dla9 station in Irvine California 😜✌️
Ay hell yeah bro, good to hear from another driver! Thank you for watching btw, glad you liked it.
Dax7 here ✋
deltaI78 I have an interview tomorrow in Saint Petersburg Florida location. I hope I
Get the job and is a great fit for me . Thanks for the video bro it helps a lot .
Miguel Ruiz hope all goes well bro !
deltaI78 thank you
been working for 1 year now. like u said it is very frustrating first few days but slowly got used to it. now i can easily deliver 300 to 350 parcels in 8 hours including resident apartments and commercials. as per amazon u take take upto 3 min so that means 20 stops in 1 hr. not including apartments they usually take a lot more time. I can easily stay between 35 to 50 stops in an hour. .crazy ehhh. it is very physically demanding job. lost almost 25 lbs since I started. not a bad work if u like to be bothered less and enjoy working alone.
Of course you can do that when you run your route 😂😂😂😂 and if you have the same route everyday 😂 let me know how you do when you have pick up’s like the big boys
What type of gloves do you have that allows you to work with the phone?
The ones they give to us at the warehouse are called condor coated gloves, I'm not sure of the specific name but most of the gloves should be touchscreen compatible
do they keep you in the area or doing you drive all around
Worst area , Wheaton 😂wayyyy too many apartments on those routes.
Lmao yeah, this route basically all apartments. I hate doing apartments 😂 makes it so much more complicated
Sometimes though, you get a leasing office and you can put literally all of the packages in the mail room. That makes apartments amazing though
Gonna apply for woodstock illinois not to far from you!
What up man. I just started working at the Amazon in Skokie. I watched your video so many times. I wanna learn as much from you as possible. At least to get through the day
Thank you for using my video as a tutorial lmao. I appreciate that, also it's great to hear from another Chicagoland driver!
I'm very curious on how much one gets payed to do this shift of hours and deliveries. I am happy not working with people and being on my own so that's a plus bit how much would one get for not driving there own vehicle and all that?
Well for comparison I make about $500 dollars per week. It is pretty nice to work alone and being independent so you'd like this kind of work. Your company will pay for the gas and everything and the truck is insured. But at the same time, you are expected to have 140-170 stops per shift once you start to get into the job.
@@deltaI78 i am in Los Angeles so the possibility of a parking ticket is a reality do they pay for that too and is how are the taxes at the end of the year?
How many neighborhoods do you cover on your route?
Is it true that if you leave early, you still get paid for the remaining hours left on your shift ?
Yes. If you finish early, you can go home and you get paid for the entire 9 hour shift (-1 for lunch). Sometimes, you have to do rescues, which means that you help your co-workers with delivering packages if they are behind or if there are just extra people working that day so you make it easier on everyone by helping them out.
deltaI78 how do you get -1 off lunch ? I barely take a 30 minute break lol
We work 4-10s. If I'm done in 4 I still get the full 10. Its badass. Rescues do happen from time to time but my team is fast AF so we all get home decently early
Do you work until all of your packages are delivered regardless of time of day, or is there a cut off point? What about restroom brakes, how do those work?
That’s what I’m wondering
With having 250-300 packages a day how long would you say it takes to deliver all of those? I have a interview coming up for amazon as a delivery driver and I am so nervous lol. I used to work for USPS so I kind of know how it works with packages but I have never had that many.
It takes me roughly 7 hours or so with that many packages. I'd say don't get too nervous about the interview/job in general; I had no delivery experience before working for Amazon, so you already have the background for it. Also, you'll get acclimated to that amount of packages as your first few weeks will slowly ramp you up to that level of packages. You got this!
Great video, getting ready for my shift now!
I trust UPS the best out of USPS, Amazon, and FedEx. Idk why I just like UPS the best
Is there a uPS flex app?
doThatGWalk No because it’s a normal Shipping company not like Amazon trying to get rid of every story in US and just use amazon. Why do you think Toys R Us closed? Bankruptcy because of Amazon
It's because UPS is union labor and they have alot more quality control as well the workers are better compensated so they care more.
dskiles04 Good
@@dskiles04 the ups drivers here drive like assholes and throw packages. Quality control?
I applied for Amazon and they gave me this position. Which i don't think I'll manage. Is there a way to change positions on the first day?
They can afford to have a much easier process in regards to logistics, especially having 1 delivery person to do 150-250+ packages in a day. Thats ridiculous imo.

Jeez I am not looking forward to loading my van like that. But I don't think we are that busy as our Winnipeg fulfillment center just opened in Sep.2021. My van has like 450 miles. What does your DSP pay? I was worried about using an earbud to listen to podcasts or running my engine in between stops but there is no int camera yet even on these new Amazon branded vans. Im allready in trouble for not calling the customer more often and taking photos of the box with the address # in the background. Do you find it annoying to take off a glove to use the touch screen? Haha that dude is one of the lazy ones dragging his bags while you didnt. I stopped scolding workers who did that. Premature wear dudes and dudetts.
Oh im only 2 shifts in. both were 90-97 stops 160-180 packages. I got them done in about 7.5 hours.
Hey boss man, fellow Delivery Driver here, Mentor does not in fact count or have a way to count seatbelt infractions. That's Netradyne.
throw package on grass must be a good hood
I recently left and I was averaging about 275-310 plus rescue.
My advice is organize! Group boxes by streets and folders.(u do not need to put folders on the dash) IMPORTANT to stop and do this before u start delivering.
-for EXTRAS (Last stops in the back of the van, and the first stops towards the front) easy to grab and go
- if you have large boxes, or 4 or more at one stop. It’s best to put them in an empty tout bag to bring along. (Use the hand truck if needed)
- speed walk early/ or light jog early then adjust accordingly throughout the day.
- follow your routes as shown on the rabbits.Try not to finesse” or try to take a “ quicker route.” Trust me it could slow u down.
Bring extra bottles...caause yk
Use empty 📦 to shield all the windows.
Goodluck be safe
Good advice! Having an organized truck = a good day
Why did you leave bro?

I suffer from anxiety so the thought of falling asleep on the wheel always bugged me... And when it snowed delivering packages was whole different beast in narrow streets of queens ny).
Overall it’s a rough job. A lot of wear and tear, and to me the worse part was not having a sense value in that job..
In my personal situation, the bad outweighs the good.
