Now that hardcore mode is available and more sensible cosmetics are available, BFV is a very solid Battlefield to me. I've put more hours in it than BF3/4 combined. The only things that bothered me were slow ttk and wacky cosmetics. I didn't even mind the first 6 months of no content, because I was genuinely happy with the default map rotation. Actually I found myself just playing 24/7 panzerstürm for a long time.
@@cbrooks_07 hardcore definitely should have been a day-1 offering. The problem now is that I only find a few hardcore servers. I made a good one, but I have to wait hours for people to join. I feel like there should be a casual & hardcore option from the start menu, so players are split into 2 pools with their desired mode.

Honestly, I got back into BFV about 2 weeks ago. Tbh... its actually been a pretty fun experience. Firestorm is dead af, at least on xbox, I really wish they made that free to play. So much wasted potential. But so far as the rest of BFV, the multiplayer experience has been pretty fun.
I really enjoy this entry in the series, though I started playing halfway through 2020. This is my primary Battlefield, I just wish there were more players and better anti cheat. Team balancing is the only other issue for me

have you tried using server browser, sorting by lowest ping? I use that to get 29 ping in America. Sometimes I'll play on EU servers though with 100 ping, just cause I like the EU players better
Where am I with battlefield 5? I play it rarely now since the only thing I’m really waiting for is the Burnt Collection bundle to lower down to 600 company coins and I am mostly on battlefield 1 now. Both games are good but I feel Battlefield 1 had more to offer than what Battlefield 5 gave us.
Bought it 4 days ago for Xbox. I play it on an Xbox One S and my only complaint is that it does take a while to load into games at times. This can also take a little while to start new games. Besides that I’m having fun with it. I told myself that I would play BF5 when I got an Xbox again. It was on sale on Amazon for $13, digital copy. So for that price it was easy on my wallet and like I said I’m having fun with it.
This was my first battlefield and all things considered it was a shit ww2 game but me and my friends could still have fun with it. It is still one of my favorite games and I am a battlefield fan for life because of it. If I could enjoy the weakest entry in the series I can’t wait to see how fun it could be in its peak.
I picked up bf5 recently and am having fun with it. I still like Bf1 better, but on Xbox there are only conquest matches and most players are die hard fans making it hard for casuals like me to have fun. Personally I think I'll play mainly bf5 until the next game comes out
Guys I am gonna be honest. I was really late to get my ticket for BFV. Like when i got it the news of support being canceled was just being announced. I honestly agree with GetGoodGuy. BFV is a fun game, but it has to have the right person playing it with the right mindset to be a good game. I just have lost my sense of enjoyment in it. But putting Dice's failure behind us and looking towards a brighter future, I hope that BF6, or whatever it will be called, will be a great game with massive maps, player counts and tons of weapons, maps, and vehicles to use. Honestly I would love to see at least a 100 player count in a game, but if there is like a 128 player count, which would double the current standard for main game modes, that would really enhance the Battlefield experience. Keep making good content GoodGuy!
So after an over18 month bfv hiatus, I decided to download it today to my PS5 so that in the coming days I can see what they did with the game after I quit in July 2019 in sheer frustrations with the poor content, and decision making, plus the poor direction being taken by DICE. Remember AP mines that worked before complaining people convinced DICE to downgrade them. I will see how it feels all this time later, and whether coming back was a good or bad thing. Oddly DICE nerfed AP mines, but CoD MW had claymores that wiped out entire teams in the right circumstances, and people thought it was funny, and fun. And fun is the key bit that DICE drove out of Bfv for me. Those funny Bf1 moments we all remember were just not there.
what i hate about BFV or BF games in general is hack/cheat problem, especially on pc, i had to switch to ps4 although my aim sucks but at least i don’t get killed by 1 hit headshot lmg

BF6 please please make strafing more punishing. it's dumb to have 100% accuracy shooting while moving side to side making it impossible to be killed. absolutely absurd.
I enjoy playing BFV still... That being said.... the fact they left us in the lurch has left a bitter feeling feeling for the next go around. They should release all other content they have for free. If that is done I would consider buying the next one. Right now I'm on the fence.... kinda like how they were with the whole last year of development.
Play some TDM. Learn the game and then play conquest if you want. I know the maps are quite big but that's how BF games are. If you can get the hang of it(which will take a while) you will like it alot
Stopped playing a while ago because of all the Dice / EA nonsense wrecked the game and creating drawn. Been back playing the last 2 months and it’s really enjoyable. Loving BFV now! 💃🏻
One of problems with this game was the gunplay. I did like it because it rewarded me since I am a very accurate player but it just felt to Arcady. I would like if the next battlefield had bf4 recoil but with bfvs no random bullet deviation
The visuals from the game were great I thought, but the inherent flaws from the off were too frustrating, the random/unexplained changes were terrible. Never been so angry than trying to mantle a tiny ledge in BFV. Gave up and moved to CoD in March 2020, something I never thought I'd say.
BFV's death sentence (excuse the hyperbole) for me was the ttk change after the pacific release. It made semi-autos, a weapon class that I enjoyed a lot, pretty much useless and made me not want to play bfv at all and instead play Rainbow Six Siege When they kinda almost reverted the ttk change and Semi-autos became viable again I did switch back to bfv but only until they announced that it wouldn't get any more major updates I still like Battlefield V and if I had to play any BF game it would be my first choice but like... other games exist
@@GetGoodGuy honestly I've been very patient with dice. I disliked the map changes in tdm, I disliked the SMG buffs, I disliked planes not just as an infantry player but the way you had to unlock aircraft specializations etc

Great video mate and very good points! I hopped on the BF5 train late this year so missed all this crazy but do enjoy it a little. for me though, after BF4 I feel like the franchise went downhill. Partially biased as I do enjoy more modern fps games but still, the game has gone down quite a bit. Let's hope for a better BF in BF6! Keep up the good work buddy!
In 2020 we started getting a lot more basic cosmetics that look legit. The game should have launched with those simple cosmetics, then DICE could have went crazy with the cosmetics after a couple years
I think you are out of touch with the issues with BF5 because you were essentially forced to play it in order to grow your channel over these past 2 years. a. you say the "Greatest failings" was the lack of a good anti cheat, seriously tell me which BF or COD game has a good one? Cod warzone has had a hacker problem from day 1 and although I don't see many hacker video's posted by streamers over the last month in warzone doesn't mean its still not an issue on PC, same with BF1, same with BF4, etc. This will likely never change and is the reason I'm all for building a game with consoles in mind, PS4 has always had the highest player count, then XBox, then PC. You want to sell the thing you need to sell it to the casual player, not to the hardcore battlefield player or it will fail like BF5 failed. I played the BF5 beta and it was trash and I've bought every battlefield game since BF BC 2 so I'm a battlefield player at heart. b. You mention nothing about tanks or how you can only use certain tanks on 1 side and certain 1's on another side, I was in a sherman and got 2 shot from the front by a tiger tank dead. But yet my side didn't have the tiger as an option so WTF. BF1 was not like this and notice you said you went BACK to BF1, its a game people still enjoy to this day...theres a reason people like it, summon your inner battlefield player, not content creator for WHY people loved BF1 even though it had its own quirks c. You mention nothing about the animations, need to revive your downed teammate? 5 second animation but you can't look around while performing it, medic revive, 2 second animation, someone throws you an ammo pack, animation, someone throws you another ammo pack, animation, someone throws you a med pack, animation, you pick up a med pack, animation, getting out of a plane, 6 second animation and you ar going full speed sends you across the map to your death! spawn on someones tank oh wait I'm in the gunner spot, sniped 1/2 second after spawning! d. 3d spotting, you even mention in a previous video you like bf1's 3d spotting but don't mention it here, this really needs to be in the game, make a hardcore mode for those that don't want to be spotted but I could run off a dozen reasons why this SHOULD be in the game and why the current spotting system is trash. e. you aren't a plane guy from what I can tell in your video's but planes were pretty trash for any casual that wanted to use them, I enjoyed the planes in BF1 but hated planes in BF4/BF5, heli's in BF4 were fun though as well. f. bugs like spawning in on twisted steel to every player being green/translucent have not been fun to deal with g. not being able to see people, look at the pacific maps where guys hide in the bush and even though they are on a spotting flare you cannot see them and literally just start swinging your knife/shovel to kill them when you are literally walking on them, that is a problem h. ttk has been fine for me, in fact too fast in some cases still to where I'm dead before I can even turn to try and counter but whatever. Bottom line is BF5 has more issues than just TTK adjustments, always has and obviously always will as they are done with this game, once BF6 comes out I suspect the BF5 servers will be a ghost town. With that said I really do like your channel and the regulator background music made me sing along rather than listen to alot of your commentary for this video, too damn distracting.

It has the best movement and gunplay in the series in my opinion and I kinda like the attrition system! A good eastern front could have made the game great!

bf5 is shitt but a working shit.. compared to cod mw is better in some aspects and shitty in others.. I still play every day and after I get frustrated i'll go back to cod mw .. then I get frustrated with the shit ttk in mw and very little difference between weapons cos they are all fucking lasers compared to counterstrike! cod mw looks easy compared to bf5 and kb&m support added a huge boost for the game on console!!

Yeah they offer a lot. Lots of pop ups. Not a fan of that. But you don’t have to spend money. At the end of the day, it’s an ad for a free game in a free video that’s not doing anyone any harm.

For me its The Best game in ww2 scenario. Ive Been hearing all the time how crap that game is. For me its not, im 40 yo and ww2 was the Best know konflict, and playing it, its very rewarding.
Solution to the whole problem - push BF6 back to 2022, and continue supporting BFV through 2021, to fulfill their promise to see the game through to the end. Content would be slower of course, but we'd at least be left with a complete package like BF1. Also pushing BF6 back a year just gives it more time in the oven
I loved the pacific update, but I’ve always gotten the vibe that DICE wants great things for their game, but upper management who cares about profit, not video games themselves, and their decisions has destroyed the game I don’t play BFv anymore, and I’m back to bf1 and bf4. Won’t be preordering BF6 after how badly bfV went down
Close-ish. Management decisions were highly detrimental. But it wasn’t finance based. It was about ego, cronyism and narcissism. Yeah, that’s probably even worse.
Great review , BFV is definitely more enjoyable now. That being said , I installed BF1 on my PC last night ( having originally played it on xbox) I haven't been this excited about Battfield in a long time.
I get they got a lot of hate but no matter how much you got it still makes me angry that they just quit. For people who paid $80 dollars for this and stayed by it through every controversial moment and they quit on us. BF6 has so much to win me back over and I’m sure for many fans alike
Well considering the only part of the BFV community that's left are the super tryhard, super sweaty, dont have a full time job and play nothing but BFV part of the community, i've basically quit the game just due to not being able to have any real fun any longer. You can only go up against super sweats so much before you just stop having fun.

I would much rather have the games that are actual asshole clenchers because they are so damn close. matches that are 1 point differences in the end. I would rather NOT die on spawn in and i would like to survive for more than 10 seconds. I would like to actually feel like my gun shoots more than confetti and deals damage. When you have 1 team that just decimates the playing field and they win the game 900-0, yea your not having fun, and due to BFV's lack of auto-balance, its like that every game unless people leave and better players join in or players from the opposite team switch teams. I've been on the team that decimates and i've been on the receiving end of it, neither are fun. I've been on the team that is spawn camping and i've been spawn camped, its not fun in the slightest. its quite boring actually. But you will just say I want to be the one to "beat up" on other players instead of using your brain and realizing that some people actually want to have FUN, some people like the back and fourth matches. I had a game last an hour and a half to 2 hours in BF1 frontlines. Most fun i've ever had in a battlefield game because the teams were so evenly matched. THOSE are the games that i want, not this one sided bullshit trash.

The game was not really cancelled early. There was a fair amount of added content not only for free. That’s the problem with these live service game, entitled people complain when content inevitably ends. Look at this, Battlefront 2, Crash Team Racing ect

In a way it’s been a mixed year for everyone, I’ve been a fanboy since bf1942. The weird thing that’s been BFV has made me branch out into other franchises COD, DOOM ETC and it’s been a breath of fresh air, don’t get me wrong I wish BF had been my mainstay, but the pre order kick in the nuts was the beginning of the downturn, the constant ttk changes just made it feel like they couldn’t give a damn about their player base. So I just bought BFV the other day because it was 60% off so I said fuck it I'll see if it's bad for myself. After a few hours playing it I felt like I had wasted my money. The first thing I notice was how bad the textures are and how much pop in there is. I was playing BF1 just before and it blew my mind how bad BFV is from a technical standpoint in comparison. It's been two years since release and I feel like I'm playing a beta for an unfinished game. I have great internet but still experienced a ton of lag and some disconnections. Even the menus are slow asf. It feels like EA gave up on this game and said fuck it that's good enough. To anyone thinking of getting this spare yourself the frustration. Wait another two years for the game to be finished. I'm a huge Battlefield fan I've been playing since 1942 and Secret weapons. This game was an extreme disappointment. Battlefield 1 is the superior game hands down and it's still full of people playing it. If you dont have that I would say get that instead you'll have 10xs more fun with it. If you're having fun with BFV I salute you, you guys could probably have tons of fun with two rocks and a stick too.
I despised the game on launch and maybe played for 2-3weeks before having enough. I’m a fan of the franchise and genuinely tried to enjoy it. then the other week I re-downloaded it. It was still horrible, I can’t put my thumb on it exactly. between the god awful animations, terrible visibility and camping! Fuck man I thought other games had it bad for this, but the amount of times I’d be killed by someone laying on his/her back with a MG in a corner.. maddening. I’m still playing between 4&1, they seem to hold a sweet spot, for me at least.
Look, I know they wasted the potential this game had BUT I really enjoy BFV actually. It's fun and that's what matters to me. Battlefield games just give me an experience that no online shooter can give. On PC it's a whole different game, it's sweatier and more chaotic, I like that. I know it might not be the best in the franchise but I still do enjoy it despite it's flaws. I can't wait for BF6, it seems their going modern again and after all those nice gameplay changes they made to BFV, I look forward to BF6
the problem with BF is the players, its a team shooter where most people want to sit back and snipe and not PTFO. the fact sniping gets easier and easier each game doesnt help. plus its now much easier to camp than attack. also lets remove the stupid stuff. ww2 wasnt full of screaming women, it wasnt full of japanese fighting next to germans. and each soldier didnt have a unique kit.
I got this game for christmas with all the dlc's and I wish I just got dlc for bf1 bc this game is fucking terrible. Its so much worse than the previous game and there is nothing that they improved upon or anything, I think they actually made every single feature in the game worse. Ex. The menu is the most laggy menu in any game i have ever played.
Bf5 is a mediocre game because of misleading advertising, pandering, bad management, very very bad pr. And imo going live service wich is an excuse to drop out early if not enough player stick or pay for cosmetics.
Always cracks me up when the failure of the game is blamed on ttk change,the reason it was changed because it was failing and the community was in fact tiny and remains so therefore not going to make much impact on numbers or profits for dice which does have some importance.
I’m afraid your flippancy about the impact of constant core mechanical changes to the game is misplaced. TTK shifts are a PART of the overall issue. It also communicated to the current players that they don’t care about what they want. Twice. Neither does any of this change that the majority of the changes they rolled out were poorly implemented and communicated. Point is, make a good game. That avoids the issues. If you make a bad game and then constantly screw with it, it solves nothing.

@@GetGoodGuy Either way really? no gaslighting or 'skewed perception' here most of your critique centers on the ttk change without highlighting the many flaws that caused the failure of the game in the first place and dramatic lack of interest among the majority of BF players that you claim to represent here,so yep that is indeed what you did,whether the ttk changes were good or bad I cannot say as I never played with them,some changes were good for me ammo increase for example but they were an attempt to mitigate the fundamental and existing flaws,revive and attract more than a relative handful of gamer's who wanted a slow,campy,overwhelming advantage to be in a cohesive squad type of battlefield.
But this isn’t a video talking about that. It’s a review of BF5 in 2020. What you want is a totally different video. Perhaps view it again with that thought in mind? I’ve done plenty of content before that’s way closer to what you’re describing. I’ve covered the game since launch.
I don’t know why, but I think that even though a lot of people don’t like Battlefield V, I feel like it’s still quite fun. I do hope that Battlefield 5 is improved upon though. I like ALOT of BFV's ideas (No suppression, superb movement, spread to recoil [have some mixed feelings on this one], heavy semi-autos for scout, no visual recoil, free maps, low scope sway, better squad mechanics [though should be 5 not 4], great grenade mechanics etc, etc). The problem is, stuff like limited HP, not being able to tell what any class is, debatably lack of 3D spotting [mixed on this one], a general inconsistency in map design & the irritating 'lets remove this game mode for no reason' mentality. Honestly, if they just take a lot of these ideas, apply a BF1/BC2 style of map design & re-introduce the more strategic elements to target prioritization seen in BF1, BF6 would be a brilliant game. For this reason, I actually genuinely enjoy BFV though I still maintain that despite all of its flaws, I think BF1 is by far the more cohesive/complete game.

I really enjoy this entry in the series, though I started playing halfway through 2020. This is my primary Battlefield, I just wish there were more players and better anti cheat. Team balancing is the only other issue for me

have you tried using server browser, sorting by lowest ping? I use that to get 29 ping in America. Sometimes I'll play on EU servers though with 100 ping, just cause I like the EU players better

Where am I with battlefield 5? I play it rarely now since the only thing I’m really waiting for is the Burnt Collection bundle to lower down to 600 company coins and I am mostly on battlefield 1 now.
Both games are good but I feel Battlefield 1 had more to offer than what Battlefield 5 gave us.

Bought it 4 days ago for Xbox. I play it on an Xbox One S and my only complaint is that it does take a while to load into games at times. This can also take a little while to start new games. Besides that I’m having fun with it. I told myself that I would play BF5 when I got an Xbox again. It was on sale on Amazon for $13, digital copy. So for that price it was easy on my wallet and like I said I’m having fun with it.

This was my first battlefield and all things considered it was a shit ww2 game but me and my friends could still have fun with it. It is still one of my favorite games and I am a battlefield fan for life because of it. If I could enjoy the weakest entry in the series I can’t wait to see how fun it could be in its peak.
I picked up bf5 recently and am having fun with it. I still like Bf1 better, but on Xbox there are only conquest matches and most players are die hard fans making it hard for casuals like me to have fun. Personally I think I'll play mainly bf5 until the next game comes out
Guys I am gonna be honest. I was really late to get my ticket for BFV. Like when i got it the news of support being canceled was just being announced. I honestly agree with GetGoodGuy. BFV is a fun game, but it has to have the right person playing it with the right mindset to be a good game. I just have lost my sense of enjoyment in it. But putting Dice's failure behind us and looking towards a brighter future, I hope that BF6, or whatever it will be called, will be a great game with massive maps, player counts and tons of weapons, maps, and vehicles to use. Honestly I would love to see at least a 100 player count in a game, but if there is like a 128 player count, which would double the current standard for main game modes, that would really enhance the Battlefield experience. Keep making good content GoodGuy!
So after an over18 month bfv hiatus, I decided to download it today to my PS5 so that in the coming days I can see what they did with the game after I quit in July 2019 in sheer frustrations with the poor content, and decision making, plus the poor direction being taken by DICE. Remember AP mines that worked before complaining people convinced DICE to downgrade them. I will see how it feels all this time later, and whether coming back was a good or bad thing.
Oddly DICE nerfed AP mines, but CoD MW had claymores that wiped out entire teams in the right circumstances, and people thought it was funny, and fun. And fun is the key bit that DICE drove out of Bfv for me.
Those funny Bf1 moments we all remember were just not there.
what i hate about BFV or BF games in general is hack/cheat problem, especially on pc, i had to switch to ps4 although my aim sucks but at least i don’t get killed by 1 hit headshot lmg
Dice should make the gym super fast but recoil rely high that means u doubt due to fast but if u have skill u will dominate most ingagments

That ttk change actually made the game harder in my opinion you had to hold on target for longer to hit them with enough bullets
Regardless of the potential this game had, i personally enjoy the game just because the movement and shooting are smooth and well done

That being said.... the fact they left us in the lurch has left a bitter feeling feeling for the next go around. They should release all other content they have for free. Play some TDM. Learn the game and then play conquest if you want. I know the maps are quite big but that's how BF games are. If you can get the hang of it(which will take a while) you will like it alot
Stopped playing a while ago because of all the Dice / EA nonsense wrecked the game and creating drawn. Been back playing the last 2 months and it’s really enjoyable. Loving BFV now! 💃🏻
One of problems with this game was the gunplay. I did like it because it rewarded me since I am a very accurate player but it just felt to Arcady. I would like if the next battlefield had bf4 recoil but with bfvs no random bullet deviation
The visuals from the game were great I thought, but the inherent flaws from the off were too frustrating, the random/unexplained changes were terrible. Never been so angry than trying to mantle a tiny ledge in BFV. Gave up and moved to CoD in March 2020, something I never thought I'd say.
Battlefield 4, 5, and Hardline are my favorite Battlefields in the entire series

BFV's death sentence (excuse the hyperbole) for me was the ttk change after the pacific release. It made semi-autos, a weapon class that I enjoyed a lot, pretty much useless and made me not want to play bfv at all and instead play Rainbow Six Siege
When they kinda almost reverted the ttk change and Semi-autos became viable again I did switch back to bfv but only until they announced that it wouldn't get any more major updates
I still like Battlefield V and if I had to play any BF game it would be my first choice but like... other games exist

Great video mate and very good points! I hopped on the BF5 train late this year so missed all this crazy but do enjoy it a little. for me though, after BF4 I feel like the franchise went downhill. Partially biased as I do enjoy more modern fps games but still, the game has gone down quite a bit. Let's hope for a better BF in BF6! Keep up the good work buddy!

In 2020 we started getting a lot more basic cosmetics that look legit. The game should have launched with those simple cosmetics, then DICE could have went crazy with the cosmetics after a couple years
I think you are out of touch with the issues with BF5 because you were essentially forced to play it in order to grow your channel over these past 2 years.
a. you say the "Greatest failings" was the lack of a good anti cheat, seriously tell me which BF or COD game has a good one? Cod warzone has had a hacker problem from day 1 and although I don't see many hacker video's posted by streamers over the last month in warzone doesn't mean its still not an issue on PC, same with BF1, same with BF4, etc. This will likely never change and is the reason I'm all for building a game with consoles in mind, PS4 has always had the highest player count, then XBox, then PC. You want to sell the thing you need to sell it to the casual player, not to the hardcore battlefield player or it will fail like BF5 failed. I played the BF5 beta and it was trash and I've bought every battlefield game since BF BC 2 so I'm a battlefield player at heart.
b. You mention nothing about tanks or how you can only use certain tanks on 1 side and certain 1's on another side, I was in a sherman and got 2 shot from the front by a tiger tank dead. But yet my side didn't have the tiger as an option so WTF. BF1 was not like this and notice you said you went BACK to BF1, its a game people still enjoy to this day...theres a reason people like it, summon your inner battlefield player, not content creator for WHY people loved BF1 even though it had its own quirks
c. You mention nothing about the animations, need to revive your downed teammate? 5 second animation but you can't look around while performing it, medic revive, 2 second animation, someone throws you an ammo pack, animation, someone throws you another ammo pack, animation, someone throws you a med pack, animation, you pick up a med pack, animation, getting out of a plane, 6 second animation and you ar going full speed sends you across the map to your death! spawn on someones tank oh wait I'm in the gunner spot, sniped 1/2 second after spawning!
d. 3d spotting, you even mention in a previous video you like bf1's 3d spotting but don't mention it here, this really needs to be in the game, make a hardcore mode for those that don't want to be spotted but I could run off a dozen reasons why this SHOULD be in the game and why the current spotting system is trash.
e. you aren't a plane guy from what I can tell in your video's but planes were pretty trash for any casual that wanted to use them, I enjoyed the planes in BF1 but hated planes in BF4/BF5, heli's in BF4 were fun though as well.
f. bugs like spawning in on twisted steel to every player being green/translucent have not been fun to deal with
g. not being able to see people, look at the pacific maps where guys hide in the bush and even though they are on a spotting flare you cannot see them and literally just start swinging your knife/shovel to kill them when you are literally walking on them, that is a problem
h. ttk has been fine for me, in fact too fast in some cases still to where I'm dead before I can even turn to try and counter but whatever.
Bottom line is BF5 has more issues than just TTK adjustments, always has and obviously always will as they are done with this game, once BF6 comes out I suspect the BF5 servers will be a ghost town.
With that said I really do like your channel and the regulator background music made me sing along rather than listen to alot of your commentary for this video, too damn distracting.

I still play every day and after I get frustrated i'll go back to cod mw .. then I get frustrated with the shit ttk in mw and very little difference between weapons cos they are all fucking lasers compared to counterstrike! cod mw looks easy compared to bf5 and kb&m support added a huge boost for the game on console!!

For me its The Best game in ww2 scenario. Ive Been hearing all the time how crap that game is. For me its not, im 40 yo and ww2 was the Best know konflict, and playing it, its very rewarding.
Imo battlefield V is a good game. I think it's lacking but a lot of people freaked out bc they added females to the game.
Solution to the whole problem - push BF6 back to 2022, and continue supporting BFV through 2021, to fulfill their promise to see the game through to the end. Content would be slower of course, but we'd at least be left with a complete package like BF1.

Well considering the only part of the BFV community that's left are the super tryhard, super sweaty, dont have a full time job and play nothing but BFV part of the community, i've basically quit the game just due to not being able to have any real fun any longer. You can only go up against super sweats so much before you just stop having fun.

I would much rather have the games that are actual asshole clenchers because they are so damn close. matches that are 1 point differences in the end. I would rather NOT die on spawn in and i would like to survive for more than 10 seconds. I would like to actually feel like my gun shoots more than confetti and deals damage.
When you have 1 team that just decimates the playing field and they win the game 900-0, yea your not having fun, and due to BFV's lack of auto-balance, its like that every game unless people leave and better players join in or players from the opposite team switch teams. I've been on the team that decimates and i've been on the receiving end of it, neither are fun. I've been on the team that is spawn camping and i've been spawn camped, its not fun in the slightest. its quite boring actually.
But you will just say I want to be the one to "beat up" on other players instead of using your brain and realizing that some people actually want to have FUN, some people like the back and fourth matches. I had a game last an hour and a half to 2 hours in BF1 frontlines. Most fun i've ever had in a battlefield game because the teams were so evenly matched. THOSE are the games that i want, not this one sided bullshit trash.

The game was not really cancelled early. There was a fair amount of added content not only for free. That’s the problem with these live service game, entitled people complain when content inevitably ends. Look at this, Battlefront 2, Crash Team Racing ect

In a way it’s been a mixed year for everyone, I’ve been a fanboy since bf1942. The weird thing that’s been BFV has made me branch out into other franchises COD, DOOM ETC and it’s been a breath of fresh air, don’t get me wrong I wish BF had been my mainstay, but the pre order kick in the nuts was the beginning of the downturn, the constant ttk changes just made it feel like they couldn’t give a damn about their player base. I’ve got my fingers crossed for the next instalment as always, as a fan of what they did in the past.

So I just bought BFV the other day because it was 60% off so I said fuck it I'll see if it's bad for myself. After a few hours playing it I felt like I had wasted my money. The first thing I notice was how bad the textures are and how much pop in there is. I was playing BF1 just before and it blew my mind how bad BFV is from a technical standpoint in comparison. It's been two years since release and I feel like I'm playing a beta for an unfinished game. I have great internet but still experienced a ton of lag and some disconnections. Even the menus are slow asf. It feels like EA gave up on this game and said fuck it that's good enough. To anyone thinking of getting this spare yourself the frustration. Wait another two years for the game to be finished. I'm a huge Battlefield fan I've been playing since 1942 and Secret weapons. This game was an extreme disappointment. Battlefield 1 is the superior game hands down and it's still full of people playing it. If you dont have that I would say get that instead you'll have 10xs more fun with it. If you're having fun with BFV I salute you, you guys could probably have tons of fun with two rocks and a stick too.

Battlefield games just give me an experience that no online shooter can give. On PC it's a whole different game, it's sweatier and more chaotic, I like that. I know it might not be the best in the franchise but I still do enjoy it despite it's flaws. I can't wait for BF6, it seems their going modern again and after all those nice gameplay changes they made to BFV, I look forward to BF6
the problem with BF is the players, its a team shooter where most people want to sit back and snipe and not PTFO. the fact sniping gets easier and easier each game doesnt help. plus its now much easier to camp than attack.
also lets remove the stupid stuff. ww2 wasnt full of screaming women, it wasnt full of japanese fighting next to germans. and each soldier didnt have a unique kit.
I got this game for christmas with all the dlc's and I wish I just got dlc for bf1 bc this game is fucking terrible. Its so much worse than the previous game and there is nothing that they improved upon or anything, I think they actually made every single feature in the game worse. Ex. The menu is the most laggy menu in any game i have ever played.
Bf5 is a mediocre game because of misleading advertising, pandering, bad management, very very bad pr. And imo going live service wich is an excuse to drop out early if not enough player stick or pay for cosmetics.
I regard BF5 as the worst battlefield game. I have definitely gone back to BF 1. It's a shame too, because I had a lot of hope for BF5.

Always cracks me up when the failure of the game is blamed on ttk change,the reason it was changed because it was failing and the community was in fact tiny and remains so therefore not going to make much impact on numbers or profits for dice which does have some importance.
I’m afraid your flippancy about the impact of constant core mechanical changes to the game is misplaced.
TTK shifts are a PART of the overall issue. It also communicated to the current players that they don’t care about what they want. Twice. Neither does any of this change that the majority of the changes they rolled out were poorly implemented and communicated.
Point is, make a good game. That avoids the issues. If you make a bad game and then constantly screw with it, it solves nothing.

But this isn’t a video talking about that. It’s a review of BF5 in 2020. What you want is a totally different video.

I like ALOT of BFV's ideas (No suppression, superb movement, spread to recoil [have some mixed feelings on this one], heavy semi-autos for scout, no visual recoil, free maps, low scope sway, better squad mechanics [though should be 5 not 4], great grenade mechanics etc, etc).
The problem is, stuff like limited HP, not being able to tell what any class is, debatably lack of 3D spotting [mixed on this one], a general inconsistency in map design & the irritating 'lets remove this game mode for no reason' mentality.
Honestly, if they just take a lot of these ideas, apply a BF1/BC2 style of map design & re-introduce the more strategic elements to target prioritization seen in BF1, BF6 would be a brilliant game. For this reason, I actually genuinely enjoy BFV though I still maintain that despite all of its flaws, I think BF1 is by far the more cohesive/complete game.

Are you using the Quick Search option? I'd strongly recommend using the game's Server Browser. Quick Search is totally useless
