Thank you again for another inspiring video. I have decided to take this journey myself and I'm really looking forward to seeing results. Maybe I'll do my own video diary as well. Thanks again for the inspiration and best to you!
I’ll be getting a gastric sleeve this summer, I’m looking forward to the nsv, especially the clothing aspect I work for Arc’teryx and unfortunately I don’t fit into most of the clothes but I’m hopeful after the surgery I will
Congratulations 🎊🍾🎉🎈! I am scheduled for surgery 9/19 and so looking forward to the same NSV’s. Ditto on ALL that you said about the overweight person experiences. Very happy for you 🙌🏾
Thank you so much! I'm so excited for you having your surgery, it's going to feel amazing as you start to experience the changes little by little. Wishing you a smooth process and recovery!
Wonderful to hear your candid comments and victories. And yes, I agree with the young lady below, you are a very handsome young man (do not worry, I am not hitting on you, I could be your grandmother). I think that the woman who finds you will be super lucky to have a man who is okay with honesty. Keep up the good work, you really look and sound fantastic. Hugs!!
Fil, thanks so much for sharing you are well spoken and a pleasure to listen to your journey. I just watched many of your videos and have to say I feel so proud for you. You dont need my approval HaHa but is so awesome to hear encouraging REAL talk
Same here, I went to universal Osaka and unfortunately I didn’t fit into any rides, I just went to the shows they offer, I didn’t want to but my best friend forced me to so I could get my $$$ worth
Video quality was completely fine.. from what I could tell. You look good, you are so stinking handsome. I was showering this afternoon and shaving my legs and thought about how annoying my stomach is and how much I'm NOT going to miss it. My surgery is tomorrow morning. 530, check in. I'm nervous and a little apprehensive but my excitement trumps the fear. This video sent me reeling through all of the things I think to myself that made me uncomfortable because of my weight... I was able to relate to pretty much everything you said. Also glad you are back on your meds because it makes all the difference. I finally caved and started on some mood support medicine as well. Send good vibes into the universe ✨️ for me, please. Are you on IG?
Thank you so much!! It’s been life changing! Sending all the good vibes and I hope everything is going smoothly, let me know how it went! And yeah my insta is FilMaltez
@@FilMaltez surgery went really well! Doc was also able to repair a hiatal hernia. Spent one night in the hospital and came home the next day. Everything seems to be going well. Still pretty sore but I've made sure to get my butt on the treadmill at least twice a day to keep this air moving all around in my abdominal cavity. That has to be the worst part of everything, all the gas. Now following you on IG
This is a great NSV list! I got over my fear of rollercoasters this year (quickly turned into an enthusiast myself lol) and didn't realize how easy it is to have to do the "walk of shame" when you can't fit into the seats. Had to walk away from a RMC and was super disappointed. I was able to lose some weight and fit onto it a couple of weeks ago, which felt great. Not having to worry about it at all must feel so freeing!
Thank yoU! I'd be so crushed, especially on an RMC!! I've only ever done Twisted Colossus when I visited in 2015, and I've done Jersey Devil a bunch this season because SFGA is my home park. They make awesome rides and can't wait to try more. It was literally the best feeling being able to do these again.
@@FilMaltez That is awesome. I am doing ok but still fighting with a little heartburn and hitting thirty to forty ounces of water a day with soft food and vitamins. Again, great job and kudos. Thanks for sharing.
@@andreszepeda7495 I hope you feel better soon! I had a hard time with the vitamins at first because the taste of the chewable ones they suggested was nauseating for me lol.
Hey, I'm sorry you're feeling like that. I was told depression is very common right after the procedure. You ultimately face the reality of the decision you made (and I had a friend deal with something similar). I definitely had that "oh shit, what have I done?" moment right after and not being able to eat was tough right after it. The best advice I was given was to try and find something you can do instead of eating if you tend to stress eat/eat out of boredom, etc. I would play a video game that kept me distracted or watched a funny movie. I would see if where you got the surgery has a dietician you can still talk to about it, and I'd definitely let them know you're feeling depressed. Not saying you should do the same, but the friend I mentioned went on an SSRI for a few months to help her through it.

100 lbs in a month? That’s awesome! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
It was a little under 3 months for 100 pounds, but I also lost 40 leading up to the surgery (so 60 post op). Thank you!!

Congratulations for your progress Filipe 😍🥰
Thank you Tia!!
It happened to me, I couldn’t get on a rollercoaster. It was honestly so humiliating. I hated myself that day

@@jmalette907 Glad everything went well! The gas is definitely the worst part but I hope you get it all out soon!

Thank you!
Wow! How long did it take to lose One-hundred pounds? Great job! I had VSG twelve days ago.
So I lost 40 before the surgery. Lost 60 over three months after the surgery. Hope everything went well!
