Bought one week ago and I think it shoots so well!!! Hesitated a lot about buying it 'cause of the 'not pretty' stock. But this gun fits me the best! My trap results are up. And well up!
Ordered 1 after seeing it at the NEC shooting show and collected it yesterday , it looks and feels amazing
does it really feel much different to the normal 525/miroku mk10?
The added weight is noticeable but for me that’s a huge plus as it improves the handling and lowers the recoil.
The trigger pulls seem better to me and for the extra £500 over a standard 525 I think it’s a steel - extended chokes, adjustable comb and looks that turn heads.
Big thumbs 👍 up from me
Still think this is one of the best looking modern guns
Τhis weapon has gone through my mind..I just ordered it! Thank you for the nice description
I too am a bit conservative where my guns are concerned but I think I see what John sees in it - it sort of grows on you, the more reviews I see of it the more I like it. If this gun amounts to a better handling 525 then it definitely has my attention. Another really good review by the way.
I like it! Needs a trap foreend though :-)
They use this laminate technique all the time in buildings these days. It's called gluelam whereby layers of wood are glued together and then cut and shaped. The result is incredible strength and all at a reasonable price. Nice idea and if they can bring it out in other colours it could do very well for them. The base 525 architecture is a winner.
I’d have this over the 725 spotter any day, much crisper trigger pulls by far.. Had a go with one last weekend and just geld with it. Immediately turning clays into powder 😎 I’m buying one 👍
I like it. To nitpick just a bit. Would like to see an option for a coffee or similar color. Maybe just a bit shorter starting length of pull. Thanks for sharing with us Johnny.
Thank you for such a comprehensive video. I'd like to ask you, can we spray a barrel from outside with oil that we use for bore cleaning, for removing led? Will not it harm bluing of the shotgun?
I love the look of this gun, is it worth upgrading from a grade 3 425 though would you say?
Could you please make a video on how to fit the auto safety bar.
That's actually a really good looking gun
Nice looking gun 😊
Gorgeous gun. What's your thoughts on the b725 protrap high rib?
This is a great gun
I cant quite make my mind up whether I really love that, or really hate it. A Marmite gun for sure.
Greetings from your Brazilian viewer ✨🇬🇧✨🇧🇷
I really wish Browning offered this in the US.
Not sure if I would buy it though I would like to try it out and see how it feels
So nice....................
Got a 686e. Had the chance to try one of these wow a great bit of kit. But do you think would have to move up to a Xs pro. Or 694 at some point or is the SL enough?
From when I start to hunt till now i was a beretta guy till i shot trap and skeet with a browning cynergy 😍 man love their products
Agreed. Browning's future lies in the Cynergy. Once I shot one, I'd never go back to any Citori.
Hi john what are your thoughts on the Salvaneli Monaco? Thanks
I think the gun starts conversion wich is a good thing , traditionalists may not like , no scrolling and the laminated stock , browning have set a new trend wich is v brave , think this will attract the younger shooter as its looks v modern I have one and in my opinion it's better than the standard 525 wich is saying a lot , as you have to justify the extra cost this gun won't be for everyone but if you like to be different you will have no regret
@tgsoutdoors what do you reckon that brushed steel action would come out like colour hardened?
Hi,
Did you shoot it?
What is your verdict?
Thanks
Looking to buy either this gun or 725 sporter 2. I already own a 686. New to shooting. Any ideas ?
With silver barrels and a white pad it'd be gorgeous
When they get old - ill do this to one
Browning made a limited batch of these 525 "Specials", along with matching BT 99s, back in 2007 for their annual American "Shot Show". I had the BT 99 version. Only difference was, the barrels on both the BT & the 525 were satin nickel plated. Nice looking guns. Quite different. Wish I were able to post a few pix here. I guess you can Google "Browning 2007 Shot Show Specials" if you want to take a look. Always look forward to your reviews.
MegaFrank1960 I have one of the shot show specials with the laminate stock and nickel barrels... awesome sporting clays machine. Beautiful and always gets a lot of comments. Nobody on the range has one like it.
Does this have a prominent palm swell like my 725 does?
So is this an ambidextrous stock and the comb can adjust to the left hand shooter too?
I would buy these, if available in the US in a Cynergy size.
Do browning do this in a none adjustable stock
Greeting from Siberia!
And to you from Hampshire. Have a great day!
Bought the the XS version.....£2700, £3700 for the normal XS pro, it has the extra pad's, and a posher case and a plastic case for the chokes that i don't use, mine doesn't come with the balance weights which is a hmmmm, however! The SL comes fairly much stock (albeit chokes) £2200 so £200 worth of extras gets you to the XS Pro, Laminate and wood do feel different though, i have a 525 sporter and the laminate shoots different! Not in a bad way! Just a different way and i'm not qualified to 'see' the difference, recoil with modern Brownings is basically non existent but this does something else!
As another post says ,a plywood Browning whatever next John .
I wish they offered that action in the walnut stocks, much prefer that to the engraving.
I expect there is someone out there who would do a swap?
Did you mention which choke tubes it uses? Invector Plus, or DS? Thanks.
Investor plus is used
I love this ugly ducklin I want this one for my 2nd gun I do have the B 686 sps but if you scratch this one it wouldn't show so bad the internals are what you want , a lot of bang for your money
It looks like it belongs in a black and white film
I really don't know what to think about this gun, one part of me wants to think its nice but i don't know if it really is.
I work on a company that uses a lot of plywood and laminated plates and I have seen what happens when the glue begins to release....
Doesn't seem to be a problem with propellers on aircraft which have serious stress and exposure in the worst possible weather conditions ,I would think no problems at all with a shotgun as they have been doing them for years on rifles.
@@geraldswain3259 With mixed results, some are fine and others have cracked
Value in 20 years
Not a lot I think
A gun should be an investment or why spend so much
If you point a Baikal in the right direction you still get a kill
Keep up the good work
No thanks. I'm more if a classic polished blued steel and hand rubbed oil walnut kind if guy
Perhaps it’s my age, but I’m becoming ambivalent towards makers who camouflage their products with affectations. The Citori is a good basic gun and it has the quality to serve generations of families without plywood or paint to detract from it. So, I assume this is a product trying to attract a younger buyer. Well, good luck to Browning if this is their approach to marketing. But, I don’t think this version will have long legs. BTW, you are to be commended for the volume and quality of your productions. Keep going. Everything is interesting.
A plywood browning ? How awful !
😂😂✊🏻💦
That is vile
Stop looking in the mirror
It's literally just another double barrel shotgun.
I guess you have to be giddy and excited over crumbs when the state has you bent over and desperate.
Calm down old lad
