Nobody's even close to attaining that FAT Steven Adler pocket groove on "Rocket Queen"
Dude may have lost the plot due to drugs and, misadventure over the decades since the bands club years/debut album recording/first "big" tour opening for The Cult...but, Steven's performance and, drumming style (especially on "Rocket Queen" was completely unique and unbeatable.
Being in the Vancouver music scene and knowing Duff since we were both snot-nosed teenage punk rock band members sharing bills at Vancouver's Smilin Buddha and Seattle's Gorrilla Room etc...he left around 50 comp tix for a bunch of us to see his first pass through Vancouver with The Cult and...Guns N Roses were freakin phenomenal! The Cult were in an especially high point in their career and they were great...but G n R destroyed them.
EPIC party afterwards...lots of fun, booze, fsvours and...late night jamming
Too bad about Steven's (probably deserved) ousting from the band...Matt Sorum ruined the Cult and, he ruined Guns n Roses...soulless drummer.
Steven, Slash and, Ron Reyes were the initial players who started that jamming project that integrated (sans Ron) with/into Hollywood Rose/LA Guns and created magic

The only real thing I think was fixed up was just adding compression and things like that because you can hear the multi-tracks where they have Crossfade and you can hear where the noise Cuts in and out it is kind of fixed up but it's not really so much autotune or anything like that it's more on the lines of making the track more listenable because it is soundboard and they're trying to promote the Torso they want everything to sound as good as possible

One of the best performances from "not in this lifetime" tour. I know everyone loves to blame Axl for his voice being different back then in the 90s, but truly, in this performance he took the best rasp possible out of his 56y old body and it was really amazing.

I'm not quite sure I understand this comment he sings lots of those songs and he also allows Duff to sing his own songs. He lets everybody do their own damn thing if slash wants to get up and do a solo, he introduces and he steps aside. If Duff wants to sing attitude he introduces and he steps aside. Lifetime achievement award record for the widest vocal range in the world. He tests in the top 3% tile of every test he takes. He is a fanatic about art. Also inducted into the Hall of Fame. The man is just extremely impressive best front man I've ever seen. I never had anybody get me up and going as when he sings live and let die. I mean the man is phenomenal, I don't know anybody that could run around the way he did and sing for hours again what he's done and what he is doing does not define the man...
