Like the best of duochrome, the best of satin, etc. You like warmer tones to me but your overall love for duochrome and use of shimmer on your hooded crease (the audacity!) Really speaks to me. i always get inspired by your single eyeshadow videos, they're some of my favourites i swear my heart stopped when you swatched hungry ghost by colourpop!!! your collection is beautiful in general but the way that one sparkles and shifts is just out of this world... also clionadh is always tempting when i see their shadows on your channel but it seems like they're often out of stock and i already have something quite similar to the shades that tug at my heartstrings the most (grisaille and abrasion)
I have to say I thought you would be including all your eyeshadow and getting down to ten, but when you said you weren't including palettes, glitters, creams and liquids I figured, 5 minute tops. It made me chuckle a little to see the angst of only dealing with non-glitter non-cream singles to get down to 10. But then I thought of my red/pink lip collection (which I think is "my eyeshadow" to your actual eyeshadow) and there is no way I could get down to 10 if you gave me 40 hours let alone 40 minutes.
I think its clear that, like most people, you gravitate toward certain colors. We like what we like and often replicate it. But taste change over time also. After a ruthless declutter have you ever found yourself wanting something that you let go because now you have a taste for it?

Loved this! I'm more cautious when digging into my shadows, for sure, but in every other way I fully relate to the way you get your hands dirty, both literally and figuratively, when swatching. At least half of the joy I get from my collection comes from just playing in the colours: swiping them up my arms, considering and comparing their tones and qualities. In your video on your most extraordinary shadows, you likened it to digging your hands into the earth (though you used the US word "dirt" I think) and I love that. Thank you for sharing your earthy adoration of colour and texture with us :)
These videos are awesome at 1.5 speed. Does anyone else consider their ability to memorize shadow names as a mental exercise? It’s improved my life so much 😆 clionadh mixed with Natasha Denona is the ultimate. The results make me tear with joy.

I really enjoy Glass Bull as a "no makeup makeup" duochrome, or as an inner corner shade. It isn't extremely duochrome, like a lot of what indie brands are producing, but it adds interest to a simple eye look!

I probably would have picked the looxi green over the urban decay lounge because it’s too sheer and the green from looxi have more demension than the colored rain shade.

Morgan Wentworth no company will be allowed to mark chunky glitters as eye safe. You make your own judgement whether you can be careful enough using them around eyes 😶
yes, I use it on my eyes. I know it's not a popular opinion but I use CP glitters on my eyes several times a week, I've even gotten them into my eyes several times and never had a problem. I can't in good conscience actively recommend doing that, since the company won't sign off on them being eye safe, but I personally believe that there's a big difference between these glitters and non-cosmetic glitters (like craft glitter). I think the labeling is a liability requirement.
I bought the entire CP glitter palette and use them often. Glitter glue. Never have gotten them in my eyes but they have fallen on my face. I don't care, sparkle is fun!
Something else I wanted to add is that I find it interesting the colors you picked are reflected in your clothing too! These are the colors you wear on your body as clothes. I don't know if you noticed that while filming or even upon editing.

The Lemonhead glitters are not any more "eye safe" than pressed glitters. They both use cosmetic glitter which the FDA has not approved for the eye area. 😊✌

You are the UA-cam authority on glitter. I just recently bought a lot of the eyeshadow recommendations you had listed in the YesStyle try on video. Everything is so shiny and beautiful, especially the contour shadow singles and the shine fix eyes. So beautiful and some of my higher end shadows wish they were as half as glittery as these. You should check out the 3CE eye switch pots, they r so beautiful.

No, please dig into those shadows! I mentioned before that this need to keep things 'new' and perfect irks me. Products are SUPPOSED to be used, they're supposed to get messy and dirty and now doing that helps promote this idea of needing more because gods forbid we get our stuff dirty and far from pristine. Your need to USE your products and make them dirty and not caring about keeping them pristine is one of my favorite things about you.

I realised I have I think less than 10 single shadows, well if I include liquid glitters & glitter shadows I might get close. In my magnetic palette there is 3 shadows: MAC Satin Taupe & Woodwinked (which are ancient) and Anastasia Love Letter which I now don’t need because it is the Modern Renaissance which I ended up getting when Sephora Australia was giving it away with purchase.

I wouldn't be able to decide on 10 shadows. I don't have any palettes, so if I had just choose 10 singles, I'd only have 10 shadows left in my entire collection. And I don't have any colored face products, I use shadows for that as well. So that would make the decision even harder.
I think this one will really help you with your deciding because you’ve gone through them and know what one do you like and what ones maybe you are ready to get rid of
Totally new to your channel but I loved this video. I'm also so perplexed by you not keeping any matte shades. I just assumed everyone would keep one base/blending shade that's basically their skin tone and then at least one transition shade and maybe a shade to darken the outer corner. And in my mind those shades would all be matte. Although I do see the logic in keeping 10 shades you absolutely love that you could wear all over the lid in a wash of color.
You should try Glamshop formula Turbo Pigments. I have a strong feeling you would love them knowing what you like in an eyeshadow. All of Polish beauty YT is crazy about them. I've seen someone comparing it to Pat McGrath stating that Pats eyeshadows are meh if compared to Turbo Pigments. I don't know if they send them to other countries though.
Another thing is the multi-chrome shadows. It just pains me to see so many consumers buying from Canada when the JD glow eyeshadows are larger, far better and less expensive! It just shows you how silly consumers are!! I've been a loyal JD glow customer now for 3 years
Ashley Wilkes I really feel that JD can learn from Clionadh about how to make interesting bundles. JD is not that inexpensive, I can buy a Pat McGrath palette from buying a couple of them, and the photos on their site are not accurate to the color.
Don't call people silly, it's not nice. Besides you have to understand that the reasons why you prefer JD Glow, although valid for you, might not be valid for other people, like not everyone likes larger pans, for example.
Regarding Clionah vs JD glow, I follow a beauty blogger named angela tanner and she is doing a multi-chrome comparison. I don't wear these types of makeup, but with the very first comparison post that she did, it seams that the Clionah brand is too pricey to me. Devinah sells ones just as beautiful for $9 less!
When I think of doing this exercise Juvias Place, Looxi and Persona Cosmetics immediately come to mind. I just might. It will help pump some extra love in to my single shadows.

I just assumed everyone would keep one base/blending shade that's basically their skin tone and then at least one transition shade and maybe a shade to darken the outer corner. And in my mind those shades would all be matte. Although I do see the logic in keeping 10 shades you absolutely love that you could wear all over the lid in a wash of color.

You should try Glamshop formula Turbo Pigments. I have a strong feeling you would love them knowing what you like in an eyeshadow. All of Polish beauty YT is crazy about them. I've seen someone comparing it to Pat McGrath stating that Pats eyeshadows are meh if compared to Turbo Pigments. I don't know if they send them to other countries though.

Another thing is the multi-chrome shadows. It just pains me to see so many consumers buying from Canada when the JD glow eyeshadows are larger, far better and less expensive! It just shows you how silly consumers are!! I've been a loyal JD glow customer now for 3 years
Ashley Wilkes I really feel that JD can learn from Clionadh about how to make interesting bundles. JD is not that inexpensive, I can buy a Pat McGrath palette from buying a couple of them, and the photos on their site are not accurate to the color.

Don't call people silly, it's not nice. Besides you have to understand that the reasons why you prefer JD Glow, although valid for you, might not be valid for other people, like not everyone likes larger pans, for example.

Regarding Clionah vs JD glow, I follow a beauty blogger named angela tanner and she is doing a multi-chrome comparison. I don't wear these types of makeup, but with the very first comparison post that she did, it seams that the Clionah brand is too pricey to me. Devinah sells ones just as beautiful for $9 less!
When I think of doing this exercise Juvias Place, Looxi and Persona Cosmetics immediately come to mind. I just might. It will help pump some extra love in to my single shadows.
