This is a valuable medium for demonstrating that "ivory tower" research has real world applications if we recognize the value of giving free reign to the scientific imagination of researchers. Excellent video introduction to SIO and UCSD.

The Spray glider is ingenious! Pitch and roll control by moving the center of mass, so no external control surfaces susceptible to leaking or damage.

sigh, so miss hearing the lengthier presentations from you folx at scripps, especially on the research with marine mammals cognitive abilities (think it was with your group, been some time seeing any updates over the findings.)

Always was a child hood dream to be more of a part with Scripps, when being taken down there as a youth.
