She gave him an ultimatum. You are aware that that is NOT what you're supposed to do, right? You know that, when you're in a relationship you're supposed to communicate, not by throwing a fit, but by sitting down and having a calm, adult conversation about what is going on in your head, right? Nothing that Lorelai did that night was right or ok. Generally I would say it is a bad idea to ever give someone an ultimatum, not only because it's rude as heck, but you may not get their honest answer. They might just say whatever thay have to in order to appease you. And similarly, it isn't good to just GIVE someone exactly what they want if they give you an ultimatum, cuz that lets them think that that shit is ok. Plz for the love of God lol, do not watch this show and think that Lorelai is the most perfect and lovely girlfriend ever. Do not look to her as a role model for how you should be in a relationship. I'm pretty sure that she is actually purposely written to be bad at relationships. This is a character trait for her. Luke did mess up by hiding April for those 2 months. I will admit that. He was scared tho. He had these two HUGE things happening in his life and he didn't want to screw up either of them, but he especially didn't wanna screw up with April. But while dealing with April, Luke was distant and distracted with Lorelai. I sympathize with Luke here. He was obviously going through something big. And he only asked Lorelai for two things: Time and Space. He wanted time and space to provide a good foundation for the relationship that he was trying to build with his kid. At first, Lorelai agreed to it. She actually downplays how much it hurts her that their wedding is postponed and that he is keeping his life with April seperate from his life with her for the time being. Frankly, it's Lorelai's own fault that the date was postponed because she OFFERED that to Luke. And I also think it's actually pretty out of line for her to feel entitled to be in April's life, right off the bat. However, if she had just been honest about these things that were hurting, that could have saved everyone a lot of pain. If she had told Luke what she had told Sookie (the analogy with the car and her hanging onto the bumper and her getting hurt) he would never just let her feel hurt like that. Luke would have tried to fix it. Cuz that what he does~ he fixes things, especially for Lorelai. He'd do anything for her. I can't really think of a time when Lorelai made it clear to Luke that she wanted or needed something and he didn't do everything he could to make it happen. Can you? He was there when her dad was in the hospital (both times), leant her 30K for the inn that she was opening, gave up his dream house cuz the house meant nothing to him if Lorelai wouldn't have been happy there, and then proceeded to renovate her home so that they could both live there. Not mention all the little examples of things Luke did for her too. Like when he got that TV for his apartment just for her. She didn't say that she needed it or wanted it. He just got it for her cuz he knew it would make her happy. Luke was always just doing thinsg for her to make her happy and see her smile. If she had been honest about all the doubts she was having (without throwing that fit) Luke at least would have been able to reassure her that he loved her and still wanted to marry her and that he would make her a part of April's life, when the time was right. I mean, if she try to have this conversation, they might have fought about it at first, cuz they can both be a little hot headed, but I think they would have worked it out. I'm not saying that Luke was Mr. Perfect. He definitely could have handled the April situation better, but he is not the only one to blame for the fall of their relationship. Lorelai could have handled it better too. Sorry for this essay lol ✌

Luke stopped wearing the blue hat after Lorelai slept with Christopher and they broke up. He put the blue one back on after he and Lorelai started talking again, maybe after they went car shopping ? When he felt they had hope again. Lorelai noticed it too and was trying to find a way to reciprocate the gesture... But she had gotten rid of all Luke things.
Luke and Lorelai's chemistry has been so awesome since episode 1!! They had to be end game since the very beginning... He always does EVERYTHING he can to make her the happiest person ❤️❤️❤️
I forgot how much I hated this song thanks to how sweet your video was. I love that you covered up rather than literally matched the whole set up starting lyrics of the song. The song in my opinion endorses toxicity abuse of like throwing a phone at your partner when you're mad and they should love you anyway when you're mad like that. But the way you vidded this is much more the opposite end of the spectrum of what people feel about this song. They love the cutesy other ideas of it, that Lorelai liking when Luke is ranting about something else in his life that's the kind of "even when I'm mad you love me" that is indeed cute in real life, and I like the way you captured the tone and a lot of the other lyrics. :)
