Let me know: what spreads do you use in your yearly bullet journal setup?
I use a future log, a memories page, a place to write out my boundaries and other mental health spreads I use, a year in pixels, a when did I last, and a self care bingo spread for the year.
I have a lot more yearly pages this year than I did last year (because I'm optimistic 😁). My theme for the yearly pages is bees (black, white, and yellow). Not sure what my January theme is going to be yet 🤔
I'm a little bit sad, that you are moving towards digital bullet journaling in both your business and your personal bujoing style. I'm a huge fan of physical journaling, stationary and all that stuff. I came across bullet journaling 2 years ago through your page, and you have been a huge inspiration ever since! ❤ For 2024, I completed my yearly setup yesterday. I have a title page with yearly goals page next to it, then a future log, a memories log with a similar layout as the future log, a long-term bucket list page, a self-care bingo, a books read and a movies watched list. I went a little bit wild with the decoration this time, I used a red poppy flower theme and I am so chuffed of how it turned out, it was so much fun creating it!😊

I had three spreads in my yearly setup pages: a future log, looking ahead and goals. I will do a future log again - it was so helpful this year - and I will have trackers at the front, rather than in each month’s pages. I want to see trends over the span of the year. One particular spread is a health tracker (which charts symptoms and meds) and it will really help to have all of the data in one spot (probably over a few pages) for quick access when I’m talking to my doctor, nurse, etc. I will probably also devote a spread to my cat’s health and care, also for at-a-glance info. I love bujos for their flexibility; we can tailor them to our specific needs.

I think the future log needed craft paper, either the month labels on craft paper or having the leaves stamped onto the craft paper again (like on the cover page) and using that as the border

I loved this!! The theme/colors are so classic and beautiful. I actually think your future log spread doesn’t look bad at all! You could totally go back and just add ripped Kraft paper title that says “future log” at the top center of the page to make it “match” the other pages better, but I honestly think it looks good as is, too! I totally miss watching longer videos with more spreads and more custom journal videos, but as a mom of 3, one of which who is only 4 months old, I completely understand why you don’t have time for all that anymore!! I never even got November and December finished in my bujo, let alone next year! Haha I honestly might end up just using a cheap calendar for this next year bc I just don’t have the time to make my own bujo this year! (Also why I never got back to your penpal letter yet! I went into labor not too long after I got yours! It’s still on my master to do list though! Haha) if I get time to make my bujo, my yearly spreads will probably be similar to what you did here: future log and when did I last, and then I will add period trackers for me and my daughter and that’s probably it for this year.
i typically do a lot of yearly pages and very few monthly pages. i do a year at a glance, future log, shop things (multiple spreads), photos, monthly reset/quarterly reset, and a bucket list of sorts

I just finished my 2024 yearly spreads. This is my 3rd year doing it. My yearly spread includes - Future log, word of the year, Goals, #24 in 2024, when did I last?, what did I buy, 2024 wishlist, collections - books, movies, TV shows, and my music.

I thought the future log was great. If I had to make any changes, I thought the grid should have covered the whole space, not just where the events were. This would have made the middle stand out without any bold lines. Just a thought.

To fix future log I would go shading the leaves which are closer the centre to be able create contrast frame so hopefully it gets a bit visible. Or go over the some of the leaves to outline them and make the patterns pop a bit maybe a darker shade of what you used. And last idea adding more dots instead working on leaves so more dots from centre to the edge instead using the dots barely. But again they are all do the same things "creating contrast look"😊😅

Pinterest is definitely a great way of getting inspired! Rylee also posts 3 monthly themes nearly every month so that helps me a lot ❤
Thanks! Yes, I do have a ton of “theme ideas” videos and custom bullet journal flipthroughs if you’d like to draw inspiration from there. I typically go to Pinterest but I try to look more at art prints, fabric patterns, etc. rather than copying other peoples bullet journals :)

I think the grid at 8:27 works, but it would have looked a lot better if you have used a ruler so the line/grids were even. Height and width of the grids hand drawn in varies so wildly and looks hard to write in.

Since you didn’t actually title the future log page, you could go back in and add craft paper and washi tape like you did on the other spreads!
