Not a route I would do with a full overnight rucksack for sure, but otherwise with care it's okay ;) W

Haven't done Jacks rake for many years you just brough back all the bits that I had forgotten. The main thing I remember is how bleeding scarry it was with a large pack........ nice job well done and thank you, regards Matt. 👍 just for your info many hand axes were made from quarried stone from the Langdale pikes wich are found all over the country and some beyond. 😁

Some of the steps and hand-holds are now quite rounded. Jacks Rake is a good challenge for confident trekkers. Thanks for commenting about the flints too. Fascinating history. Cheers, Warren 🤠

Nice one Warren... a couple of us camped at Stickle tarn many years ago...we camped in a foot of snow...the plan was to do Jacks rake then return to the tents but it was just too icy so we didn't bother...don't think i could do it now.!!

The trek up to the tarn is okay taken steady and then Jack's Rake is okay in the right weather as long as legs and arms are strong and steady! Love it! :) Cheers, Warren

Great video, wiw what a scramble. I don't think I could have done that when I was fit, let alone now. Nice one 👍

Just take it slow and careful. The filming made it a bit more tricky but I wanted to film some of it for the vlog of course. And not ideal is bad weather I guess too. Cheers, Warren :)

Ive always wondered how sheep get into some of the places they do. Great video.

It was odd to see the sheep there but further up I could see how they had found their way along a narrow ledge. Thanks for your comment, much appreciated. Cheers, Warren :)

Better him than me at 83 Warren. Tremendous feat even for you at half his age .. lol. Quite spectactular scenery and views I imagine the camera really doesn't do it justice. What's next my man you and Mr CLB?. Thanks for sharing. Bushyboy Oz.

He had done super-well. He didn't even seem that tired. He must keep himself quite fit. A thrilling route for sure. Cheers, Warren :)

26:58 what app is that your using please Warren?

I use a mix of mapping options but always use a paper map for the overall route. I showed me using the OS app on my phone, but I also use others, including my Garmin GPS unit which has a map on it. W

@@Linleys have you ever done a video on map reading & navigation? I think you’d be able to explain it brilliantly.

Noooo thank you! I'll enjoy your videos but my feet remain firmly on the flat grassy areas!

I do look back at some of the more "tricky" moments and wonder about them but all is good :) Cheers, Warren
