Good day, Mr & Mrs H! My shave of the day: Razor: Gillette Fat Boy, E-2, the Twig, and Mach 3 cartridge for pickup time Blade: Persona platinum chrome Soap: Proraso Red Brush: cheap boar brush Bowl: wooden cereal bowl
Any BBQs, that's funny. Here in Oklahoma we BBQ when there's snow on the ground. I really enjoy your videos, they make me smile, also please tell Mrs. H. thanks for the flowers there always lovely. My shave today will be with a Feather Artist Club SS folding razor.
Good Morning Paul & Mrs H. Nice shave Paul, I have the 1963 Slim too, my birth year, the Gillette Super Thin is one of my favorite blades, and also have the Castle Forbes Lime Cream in my rotation. Welcome back Mrs H, you were missed, absolutely beautiful flowers, Paul’s weren’t too too bad but probably a good thing you didn’t have to see it, he should stick to shaving and cooking. 😂
Morning Paul good to see a Welsh man using I4 the engine for you shave (see what I did there, I'm here all week try the fish). Seriously looks like a great shave, I hate to say I've never tried Castle Forbes creams. I really should treat myself to a tub.
After discontinuing the use of the Twig Thorn razor, I find the single edge razor to be my preferred choice for both my head and face. I would like to express my appreciation for the excellent videos you have created. Currently, I am using the Proof razor as my single edge razor.
Great shave Paul 💈 Bet you're pleased to hand back over the flower arranging!! Stunning display Mrs H 💐 Chicken breasts for us today with Lashento's hope you enjoy yours. Have a lovely BH weekend both 💈💐💈
Good video Paul! I'll be shaving soon after leaving this comment and I'll be using some Proraso blue preshave, Geo. F. Trumper rose hard soap, my Futur with a Rapira blade that I have no idea if it's a good blade and then ending it with some goodfellas Renero splash and some nivea sensitive skin balm
Good morning Paul. Really nice Sunday shave. I'm a fan of a good citrus shave myself. My SOTD I'm going barbershop scent today. Razor: Edwin Jagger D89 Blade: Voskhod second use Soap: Noble Otter BarBar Splash: Noble Otter BarBar Brush: AP 26mm Synbad knot with a white marble handle. Balm: Nivea for men face cream. I haven't tried Caste Forbes but I also haven't tried Truefitt & Hill either. I can't decide which one to get. Do you have any recommendations? My Sunday sounds a lot like you're Sunday 😅. Have some breakfast do get the house items all done and out the door to go to some shops with my wife too. The flowers are lovely. Take care
Is it coronation day already?! Beautiful flower display. Congrats Mrs H! The Slim Adjustable is one good quality razor. And to think new companies are doing (or trying to) similar adjustable razors and selling them for £150, £200. Go vintage I say!
Great video mate. I’m looking for a fatboy D3 1958 3rd quarter God they aren’t cheap, but most are from USA but hopefully I will find one soon. Hope you have a great bank holiday Paul Atb Paul
Happy day Paul. I think His Lordship was invited as well and is pleased but of course not particularly excited to attend the Coronation of His Majesty.
Hey Paul! Great shave as always! I too am using my Gillette Slim Adjustable. I recently purchased one off ebay for only $7US!!! Works beautifully! I am using that along with vintage Old Spice shave soap, vintage Old Spice aftershave, Polo brand aftershave balm, Personal Care moisturizer. I am also using a vintage Rubberset boar brush. Can't wait for this shave! Nothing beats Old Spice shave lather and performance! Ohh, almost forgot, I am using a Personna Blue blade, 2nd use. It pairs with my Slim wonderfully!! Thanks for the video and see you on Wednesday! JimG
Mrs. H has done it again. What a colorful display! Also, the side-by-side comparison of the Slim and Fatboy was instructive. My SOTD was the second time I used the Muhle R41. Tabac was the soap of choice. I wanted to test the R41's efficiency for 3 days of beard growth. I managed a close shave in two passes with no nicks. For me, I don't find the R41 to be nearly as smooth as my Rockwell 6S. Probably because of the open-comb vs the solid bar designs. Anyway, I think calling the R41 "The Beast" is not deserved. The secret to using the R41 is to make sure to use a very light touch. NO pressure is needed. But that's really true for any safety razor to avoid accidental nicks. I was quite pleased that I could use "The Beast" with no nicks or irritation. Enjoy your Sunday meal and cheers for the week ahead to you and the Mrs. Nice Slim Adjustable shave, BTW!
Wonderful shave Paul💈💈Yes, Mrs H is back with another stunning display, thank you. 60yr old + razor works as good as anything out there today. Castle Forbes goodness, expensive but worth every penny. SOTD: PAA Cube, Sterling "Evergreen Forest" soap/splash/EDT, Merkur "Mergress XL" custom razor w/Feather blade, Simpson "59" badger brush, alum, witch hazel and AV 5in1 balm...glorious. Enjoy your Sunday, see you next time.
Beautiful arrangement and as always wonderful shave. Just ordered a Rockwell 6S last week with the rhodium plating. Might be here this week. Pretty excited for that.
Hi Paul- Great vintage shave; thank you! The Gillette Slim Adjustable is quite a nice razor. Lovely to see Mrs H’s flowers on display. Have a great week ahead. See you on Wednesday for the mid-week shave. Best regards, as always, Paul.
Good morning Paul, beautiful flowers by MrsH. SOTD will be Gillette Fatboy with a Derby premium blade, Razorock F400 brush, Gentlemen’s face care club lime shave cream, Crabtree and Evelyn West Indian limes aftershave and Nivea fresh kick cream. MOTD will be Roast Chicken, jacket potato and Salad, Enjoy your day my friends all the best
@PaulHFilms another great detailed educational breakdown of wet shaving products and meal planning. As usual, Mrs. H always puts together a great exquisite floral display that brings out your detailed brush collection.
Beautiful floral arrangement Mrs H. Spot on shave. Thank you for the comparison of the 2 razors. Very informative. Looked like it gave a nice smooth shave. My sotd was my rockwell 6c, with fine italian citrus soap and after shave. Always a nice feel and scent. Have a great week 👍
Good morning Paul! A wonderful sunny warm spring day here in the Harz mountains. Today was Orange Empire soap from Goodfella's smile for me. Nice scent. Still rocking the 4th time use Feather blade in the R89. Might change it out after #5, we'll see. Geo F. Trumper Extract of Limes Skin Food and Lime du Sec aftershave from Clubman. Wishing all a great weekend, watch out for the witches tonight! Lots here in the mountains going to be dancing with or without their clothes...
Good morning paul from Greece!Gillette slim and the fatboy are my favorite razors!I have bought them 3 years ago from razoremporium restored! They are like knew!
Good morning nice shave am here in Texas is 1:25 waiting to get off work so I can have a nice shave. Feel like a grizzly bear 🐻 if that’s a thing. I need to shave asap 😂
Hallo Paul, vielen Dank für dein Video. Phantastische Nassrasur. Wer gestaltet denn deine Blumen Dekoration? Viele Grüße aus Deutschland. Gruß Jens ☀️😎🎸💈💈
Hi Paul. I hope you're well. Have you ever tried the Razorock MJ 90A razor ? It's quite cheap and has fast became my favourite razor. Absolutely fantastic. I'd be very interested to see what you think. Thanks and take care.
I wonder if His Lordship was invited to the coronation. Perhaps we could hear some more about that and indeed get a visit from His Lordship about that very topic.
Excellent choice of razors Paul , sadly spoiled by three passes plus pickups. Three passes and pickups are really not required by experienced shavers, and really encourage bad shaving practice. My personal definition of a close shave is to take the beard back as close to the level of the skin as possible. This definition in itself denotes a close shave, and as a result should be good enough . Three passes plus extras for most encourage skin irritation and in grown hairs . We only have one skin so we should look after it . I'm sure you agree
Good day, Mr & Mrs H! My shave of the day:
