Thanks to all of you guitar players for your interest in the Hammer Jammer. This device came out a few years ago. We never did much promotion with it at that time do to some other projects with my company. Over the years, however, I used my Hammer Jammers for film music and it was from the interest I received in film scoring that I decided to sell the remaining units I have, basically below cost, and I am eating most of the shipping costs. The reason I am doing this is because I was always convinced (and now more than ever because of using it for film work) that this invention has the potential to enhance players. Hopefully one of you will become the next superstar player and the Hammer Jammer will be your schtick. That would prompt me to go back to manufacturing and a major re-release. At that point it will cost about $100, at least. That's why there is not a lot of info on the web site... although I am making an installation and tweak video which should be available this month. Also... the $10 shipping does cover most places throughout the world. Thanks again. Ken McCaw, inventor
Good lord, a friend sent me this video a decade ago, and I missed it. Thanks to the memory function on FB, I just now saw it. What a great device, and the music in the demo is excellent!
This is great, I never had a guitar as a kid and I'll likely never master guitar but a tool like this could add a lot of power to my arsenal of sounds.
Ken I think this is great. and most of all I think this would be a great addition to a tap guitarists arsenal! Great product! Alund also has a great Idea for its use as a Bass guitar model. I would look forward to seeing extended guitar models such as 7 or 8 string guitars and Basses.
This is amazing. I read about this device years ago and always wanted one. I even searched for it last year and found diddly online. Sorry to see it's sold out already! Please DO find another company to make it! I'll be first in line with my dollars. Any idea what the price (or price range) will be?
There's 2 ways. There's a video about installing it. You basically clamp it onto the bottom of the neck or you use 2 way tape that i think comes with the product? the video says to try clamping before using the 2 sided tape for obvious reasons.
I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for a "new manufacturer" to pop up. I see people heralding Ken as a "genius" for inventing the Hammer Jammer. It's a great invention, but it was invented in the 1990s. He states that he came up with it while scoring a movie in 2008? yeah, right. The only units he sold were the still produced by SKB. My guess is someone bought up what was still sitting around unsold and remarketed it. Kudos for that, and I do hope he finds a manufacturer. And by all means, check one out if you can. But I have a hard time swallowing the claim that this company invented in 16 years after the identical item was being sold by Musicians Friend.
pls, dont do that to ppl who love playing guitar. i mean, rly playing.. touching every string with this powerfull feeling, characteristic for each individual. this is guitar, you cant improve that in this way... >
what exactly are you talking about...? this device wouldn't take away from the feeling of playing guitar or being able to express someone's musical ability or interests...if anything, it's an extension of the artist's creativity
It's not like it became law that every guitar must be adorned with one of these devices. I've been playing guitar for 17 years, and I'm really excited about this device. I understand the reluctance to try something knew after being to strongly rooted in the specifics of your practice, but if being a guitarist has taught me anything it's that trying new shit is a great way to make progress.
how can you improve a specific instrument if you're just going to stick on what you know you need to explore new things . i love playing guitar but i cant wait to put one of this device in my guitar . cant you see the big difference on how this device can make guitars produce even more cooler sounds .as i can see you're the only one who can't appreciate this device
FUCK YOU BIGWALNUTMUSIC!!!!! I just wanted to take this opportunity to personally THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH for taking the unique sound that players like myself have spent years developing and making it so easy anyone who plays even basic fingerstyle can learn it overnight! Seriously, what the fuck????? Before, we stood out, and it was because we've devoted serious amounts of time and effort into doing just that. Thanks to your AWESOME product, now every joe that plays open mics can order one of your ridiculous toys, throw it on their guitar and "sound like august rush." Can you guess what happens next? Pretty soon the public won't be impressed by our playing at all because they've seen it too many times before and "anyone can do that"....thanks a lot, dickhead! In sumnation, I appreciate the way you just put a bullet in the acoustic players at the forefront of guitar, and I hope you fall from a building, land on a giant pile of your hammer jammers covered in gasoline, are set ablaze, and you die a painful fiery death with all your stupid fucking toys!
Tucker green you suck. A little insecure about your material maybe? How is this a bad thing. So I suppose you hate things like Guitar Rig and aplitube, because that also allows new players to "cheat"? I've never seen such musical smugness!

Great stuff! Congrats on an epic invention
I just ordered one from you, I am looking forward to trying it out and doing some demo and review videos of it on my channel.
This is great, I never had a guitar as a kid and I'll likely never master guitar but a tool like this could add a lot of power to my arsenal of sounds.

id really love to buy one of these. any news on a re-release date so i can order one? im from New Zealand :)
It sounds a lot like a hammered dulcimer, which it technically, kind of is... awesome idea.
What a beautiful innovation!
this is absolutely awesome on an electric. if there was a bass version of this it would be cool.
got mine today in the mail. STOKED AS :) Thankyou BIGWALNUT :)
Beautiful!

sounds awesome!….how much $ ?
I ordered one back in october/november. when is it going to come?
did you think about making a bass version? It would be a great thing to combine normal bass playing and hammering with jammer, i think.
that would require mass hammer
Brilliant. How is this product attached to the guitar ? I hope you don't have to drill your instrument to set this up !

GREAT INVENTION !!! i want one !!!!!
are they all still sold out, i want one so bad
How easy is it to take on and off for some plain old strumming or a flat pick solo?
Interesting concept!!
Cool Product Pal!!!
Really cool! Fair price as well!
Where can i buy this Mr ?
Does this come in left handed?
Woudl this work on a nylon string ? :)
Is this still available? I've been trying to buy one but all the site, links, emails I've found appear dead :(
Does it work with 12 strings? :O
I would love to see this product used by a shredder, bluesman, and a rocker! Sounds interesting!!!!
@ 4:23 I envisioned the likes of Stanley Jordan really utilizing this wonderful tool! :)
I. Need. This.
How much the price
What was the European feature film called?
Stone of Destiny.
sooooo bummed you are sold out! want one bad!
Duuuude This is Amazing .... :D
i wonder if one could play the blues with it?
Slide blues absolutely.
PANICBLADE Slide Blues? I don't think so. One of the most important techniques on slide playing is to stop to string to sound.
King Rhoads Seems like you could still easily mute the strings even with this there. Plus you could always get a string dampener for the neck.
How can i get a hammer jammer?:(
you got my sons attention he wants one where to get one?
its in the about and also listed on at the end of the video.
I Must... MUST! be the first one to vote down... ohh GAWD! this guy is Awesome!... Never Mind.. Voting Up!

Insecure much? If you're that "unique" I'm sure you'll be fine.
not at all, just dissatisfied that you and your dipshit buddies can steal my sound for $100 without actually practicing more than a few minutes.
Tucker Greene "steal my sound"? yeah sure, you are pathetic dude, you sound like a total idiot,
okay guy, tell you what. learn to play the shit i do, any of it (without the bigwalnut cheaterdouche toy). then you can tell me i sound like an idiot
Tucker Greene you are so humble
Tucker green you suck. A little insecure about your material maybe? How is this a bad thing. So I suppose you hate things like Guitar Rig and aplitube, because that also allows new players to "cheat"? I've never seen such musical smugness!
emmm, its a toy tool, maybe for fun its ok, or for a couple of songs, but in my opinion its a little useless thing
