I used to go to hear Harry regularly at the Plough in Stockwell and bought this LP from him, duly signed by himself and Johnny, then went and left it on a train! Ah, the nostalgia of lost youth, lost records and lost pubs! Great music though. Thanks for the chance to hear it again.
These are all from the lp two fellas to follow which I still have I think this is one of the best lps Harry ever did with the superb johnny eden on drums who believe or not was self taught. I still a get a buss out of this lp truly a great sound. Thanks up loading
Was a massive fan of Stoneham years ago when I was a young lad learning jazz, I’ve played loads of Lowreys and none of them had the growl and bite that Stoneham managed to achieve, great sound.
Thanks for these uploads Adrian! Great listening to a great player on a great organ. Especially nice to hear after the loss of another great Lowrey player, Alan Haven, last month.
Many thanks Adrian . What a great player Harry Stoneham is . I had the pleasure of performing a warm up for him in the mid 90s at an organ Society gig. My Father on a Hammond x5 with Leslie 760 and myself on drums. We met him and his wife and what lovely people . He is a true gent :)
What an album. I remember hearing this when I was a teenager. Changed my outlook on music. Stoneham at his best. Great stuff.....Drummers not bad either..... Thanks for putting this on UA-cam Adrian. Thought I'd never hear this again. Cheers mate......
Paul Perrin Hi Paul, you can still find the Album on eBay.It should be very cheap although there are some cheeky beggars asking silly prices.Of course need a record player to play it!
@@caspercat0 Thanks Adrian. I got the album for £12. Need the record player now. A friend at work has a record player come mp3 thing so can have it down loaded or something. Thanks mate. Good stuff....

Great organ player! Thank's!
My dad played drums on occasion at musician Union doos when Harry Stoneham's usual drummer wasn't available. I still have his drum kit!

A Leslie really makes this organ sing (as well as the playing, of course!)
This guy continues to amaze me. Such well tuned musical sensibilities... perfect voicings
For those who play organ, Harry published "Play Jazz Organ" with accurate transcription of some of his recodings. Still available.

The organ engineer, Bill Dunne modded Harry's Lowrey Heritage and many others.
ThankGod this is still on youtube
Still glad this is still her3 to listen to. Thank you..
The title track is an absolute killer - organ and drums just perfect. And when he lights the touchpaper at 1:11...........
I don't know a lot about beat organ music, but this is definitely my favorite version of Call Me I've heard.
Fabulous-one of my favourite albums
Yes fab LP. Pity you sold your DSO1. Mines performing well. Of course you know Harry passed away in December?
This is my favourite organ LP of all time. Under the original title of Two Fellas to Follow. I just loved Harry. The best ever.

A truly wonderful master of the Lowrey Heritage, his chords were sheer magic. Sadly missed. A great Gent.
He was a top guy. I have a signed photo of him. :-)
Is this just organ and drums?
Yes
Yes, a proper organist!
