Great stuff - Keith Beckingham - one of Hammond's best - timeless magic - I owned two Concordes - one in oak and the other black and white - with white leather seat and music rest - both had two 710's - wish I still had one despite problems with edge connectors they were great - thanks for putting this on Adrian

I saw Keith Beckingham at the Hammersmith Town Hall around 1965 when he was presenting one of the Hammond Organ Spectaculars - their promotional roadshows. He had a very bright and animated style and I've always admired his classic Hammond playing. Thanks for posting.

I don't know if there is a Mr Hammond in the UK. But, surely it must be Keith, beautiful, smooth accurate playing based on wonderful chords.

Was he using the internal leslie to record or external leslie 700/710?

This organ was connected to a Leslie 710.Oddly the only track where he uses the 710 on slow then on fast is Alfie. The internal rotosonic drum is pretty unusable for normal slow/fast use as it takes so long to speed up and down. But, when on fast it gives a wonderful theatrical tremolo.

@@adrianrose8044 Whats is your opinion of the Hammond concorde Vs The Hammond Elegante 340107 (Connected to 750) vs Hammond H-395 (Connected to 710,715, HL-722 or 750 leslie)

@@Royalorgans The Concorde sounds great with a 710. It would possibly sound better with a 750.
I have a 2300 Concorde and 710 at the mo, and a 750 so I need to try it. I had an Elegante but it was poorly so I couldn't really base an opinion on it. I'm not very fussed on the H series on their own speakers, but I do think any Tonewheel Hammond through a Leslie will sound good. I had an X66 through a HL822 and it sounded great.

@@adrianrose8044 Great! I looked at many of your videos that you posted over the years and you are a good player. What are you thoughts of the Gulbransen President, Gulbransen 600, Gulbransen Premiere, Wulitzer 950, Conn Trinidad, Conn Theaterette 580, Hammond XE-1, Hammond XE-200, Hammond Colonaide, and Thomas Trianon 6280 when comparing sound quality that rich and spacial with the internal leslie vs connecting them to a leslie speaker such as a 720,710, 715, 750 and 412. Do you think the Conn and Gulbransen Organs that you played would have more atmopheric presence and bite if you connect it to the leslie mentioned Do you think you could pull off a Jazz or Gospel One Man Band or with a live band if you connect them to the following leslie. Whats your opinion? Lastly. I heard you play a Hammond Aurora Classic with external leslie. Considering its the baby brother of the Elelgante 340102, How would you conpare that sound against the Hammond Concorde witb 710 leslie? Thanks, your opinion means much.
