I’m definitely looking forward to having that still new tractor pull that new planter planting some corn!!! Come one warm weather!!!! Congratulations Nathan and Border View Farms on your awards and new purchases for the farm!! I love all your videos. Keep them coming. Been subscribed for about 4 years now. Great job to you all!!!
Congratulations on getting this machine home safely. I am not a supporter of an other tank mounted on the drawbar of this planter - I wonder just how much a tank of product plus all the supporting hardware and equipment weighs and wether the drawbar is engineered to cope with this extra load especially with a "bounce effect" in the field when being used at high speed. I think it would be a much better balanced outfit on the front of the tractor. The extra weight on the front axle might reasonably be expected to improve traction and steering - if you felt that this extra weight might be too much then remove some or all of the front end weights. I'm unsure what a front mounted fully loaded tank might do with soil compaction issues compared to a drawbar mount or with regard to this topic related to the main planter wheels and tyres. Afterall compaction but especially pinch row compaction we were told repeatedly was a major reason for buying a tractor on tracks!! It would be Mighty interesting to know just how much weight (when the whole outfit including towed tank and full of seed and fertilizer) is in actual planting mode with what each wheel or track is carrying and what this amount translates to in terms of causing soil compaction via psi and other methods of assessing compaction.
Congratulations on getting the new planter home, looking forward to hearing why you picked this planter And I’m sure the 8rx is very happy with its new best friend 😂
Nice camera work BROCK 👍👍😂. BE CAREFUL NATHAN that’s not a short planter. Had a neighbor roll a 24 row not pretty site ouch ! EQUIPMENT TALKING TO EACH YEP ME TOO. 😂😂😂 Thanks Nathan and Brock. Oh now you will be done before you get use to it!!
Great video Nathan!!! Maybe this year you can add a drone to your channel so you can get some great air shots. Thanks for the video keep up the good work
I believe that planter was my neighbors planter from last year before you bought it . Not 100%sure though . But if it is they pulled it with a case 310 magnum tractor with saddle tanks . I believe that rtk antenna was for The deere to case setup if that makes sense.
Ice seen these planters with as big as 850 gallon tanks on them, 2 - 600 gallon tanks, a 600 and a 450. I don't have any official documentation saying it will work but it's been done.
On your valve block that you think has bad O rings..I had this with my planter it was a bad tractor remote coupler cartridge. Try it on another remote valve and see if it still settles.
"And he didn`t get it.... but the guy should be running the planter, I know how to hook it up!" "You sure don`t know how to hold a camera still" I love the banter between you two!
When we are unfolding our DB planters we tend to put it in reverse and slowly roll backwards with it, we found it doesn’t always pull the tractor back enough in neutral, congrats on the new planter! Looks great!
Nathan, it’s a good thing I watch your videos at night when I am lying down. $16,500 are they joking? I let out a slight gasp. I am really interested in watching you retrofit the new tank on the planter.
It's a lot harder to plumb there and there is some extra lines and hoses there from the second liquid system that would make mounting the tanks difficult. It's an option but probably my last choice.
Congrats Nathan 👏. I would go with the second tank on the planter just from a visibility standpoint. Depending on weather you could almost cut your planting time in half. Speed/size. I'm excited for ya!😄
''THR NEW PLANTER ????'' lol hahahahahahaah can you edit a title ?? LOLL just HAPPY EXTRA HAPPY FOR YA !! THIS IS GUNNA BE SOO COOL!!! altho *I* PERSONALLY THINK THOSE STAINLESS TANKS WOULD BE WONDERFULL for planting season!!! :) LOL
If you tractor could talk it probably wanted a newer model with bigger seed tanks . No nice looking planter lot to learn we are on are going on second year with a 1775 and still learning new monitor exact emerge exact rate auto path implement guidance turn automation it all great but a pain to get it all to work good luck and looking to learn there days i i’d like to just have ground driven Monitor and radio to worry about
@@BorderViewFarms Ya, I worked in the parts departs for a few years, it's understable, that's a lot of O-rings and parts to keep track of and seated right. But ya, if you can avoid buying one, that's the best.
I imagine your dad had the same reaction when he and his brother got their first 12 row planter. Seriously Nathan, you really have upgraded your planting set up. Going to be a fun spring for you. I vote for the tank on the planter frame. I just don't trust putting liquid weight on the frame of modern tractors.
I always nudge the tractor along when folding and unfolding ours, especially in the field on soft ground.
THATS ONE NICE RIG YOU HAVE ! SHE ‘S SOMETHING ELSE !
Nice equipment! You and Brock are funny, y'all make me laugh. Keep them videos going.
YOU are so spoilt , !!!! good for you , I am jealous :) ........ lets hope your satellites never drop out for too long as you dont have markers !!!

This is going to be fun!
Add a spacer under the fender mount and raise it up
Congratulations on your new planter. It’s always exciting to get new equipment. I hope it all works well for you.
The "RTK" Antenna should be for the JDLink Modem on the planter.
Nice tractor and planter setup. In 2005 I was the 1st person to plant with no markers. It was scary at first, for doing headlands.
Congratulations on getting this machine home safely.

Gonna be an interesting ride this spring
Hello from Siesta Key Florida
Congratulations on getting the new planter home, looking forward to hearing why you picked this planter
And I’m sure the 8rx is very happy with its new best friend 😂
SWEET LOOKING PACKAGE LOTS TO LEARN CANT WAIT TILL IT TIME TO GO TO THE FIELD. CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR PURCHASE!!

So cool your new toy arrived finally. Have fun with it, Nathan. :)
Congrats on getting new planter home it looks awesome can't wait to see you planting with it and smiling from ear to ear
Ready to see this set up running this spring.
Great video Nathan!!! Maybe this year you can add a drone to your channel so you can get some great air shots. Thanks for the video keep up the good work
Congratulations on the new planter! Incredible technology
Congratulations. Cool equipment.
Congrats on the new planter.

🔥right on guyz, tractor looks great and that is one top notch planter boss 🔥👊🔥⚙️🔨🏍🚜
That's a cool looking Planter can't wait to see in the field Go green
rock makes a good point and he should run that planter
Nice set up. It's always nice and fun to get new Toys congrats!
Nathan - great thumbnail pic! 👍
Is Mother Deere ok with the added weight on that bar? Is the frame engineered to take the load?

Very interesting to hear about all the reasons and tech details around the fertiliser and high speed.
Certainly is 1 heck of a set.up!
You don’t like Brock giving it back to you a little!!! LMAO. Good job Brock keep him on his toes. 😂😂.
Looking g forward to see final planter configuration.
On your valve block that you think has bad O rings..I had this with my planter it was a bad tractor remote coupler cartridge. Try it on another remote valve and see if it still settles.
It settles when unhooked from the tractor
ok...could be in the valve block or could be one of your hyd cylinders piston O rings
Nice new planter.
I don't think Dougo liked having those tanks on the tractor.
I was going to ask if you wanted a 16 row exact emerge or 24 row max emerge. Guess you answered my question
Congrats on the new planter. What are you going to do with all of the extra time having a 60ft? 🙃
"And he didn`t get it.... but the guy should be running the planter, I know how to hook it up!"

Maybe RTK module is to talk to the gym for oh monitor but that’s what it is and to connect to the to do the easy fold

nice rig
It followed me home dad, can i keep it?
With the new planter the anhydrous bar isn't the same size anymore. How do you feel about the extra passes on the field.
I think a red fertilizer tank would make the new planter look really nice. And just think it might help it work better
Brock won the hookup game LOL
Congrats, sorry Brock it’s now time for a new shop with a wash bay, drain pit and a Martin. 😂
bustin his chops about holding the camera heheheheheh🤣
Why not mount tanks out on the wings where the markers used to be?
It's a lot harder to plumb there and there is some extra lines and hoses there from the second liquid system that would make mounting the tanks difficult. It's an option but probably my last choice.
I agree with you about the camera 🤣🤣🤣

The whole time you have been buying this planter I have been trying to figure out why they built that shed 3 feet off the ground??
Haha I think I was raised at some point

Safety third.
Tank on the planter
My $15k guess was pretty close.
Would the 8 rx fender tanks would that work
They would but I don't want them
That's a sweet planter. Nothing runs like a Deere. If it ain't green... It ain't mean!!!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You should have taken the tractor/planter through the McDonald’s drive thru 😅
Nathan, just for reference, AA72878 does come with all the solenoids and valves, it's a complete plug and play.
Really I'm surprised by that, still not trying to buy one
@@BorderViewFarms Ya, I worked in the parts departs for a few years, it's understable, that's a lot of O-rings and parts to keep track of and seated right. But ya, if you can avoid buying one, that's the best.
And you call yourself a tractor driver. How many tries did it take to hook up the planter at dealership. Almost needed Brock to do it. It will be fine
Put tank on planter. 😎
Look even better if it was all red
Nathan I was gonna ask u why u won't hire bout 5 more employees to help u and your dad around yall farm ??
Because I don't need too

16.5k holy i was sooooo off =/
I think your planters sexy!!!! SOOOOO 24/2= C12F !!!!!!! HAHAHAHA
24/3 = 608C
@@BorderViewFarms Love it!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Who’s running the camera, that was painful.
Clean the Salt off it !!
