I was ripping a new place a few weeks ago. Pulling 8” deep and breaking shank bolts. Super dry and hard. Love the videos. Nice to see a Milo cotton rotation. All the other UA-cam channels I watch are wheat/pea or corn/soybean rotation. Being from Texas I enjoy watching what is done in our state.
Nothing like the smell of freshly plowed ground!! Thanks Casey, I hope you and you and your family and extended family, (the farm hands) had a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year.
That’s a practice not enough folks are doing today. Come planting season we air those bags up & put lots of down pressure on opening disc & root will not go down. Thanks for sharing.
Do you have any problems with pink bole worms we had to have our cotton worked under before December 21 or we got fined and if we left root tops after shredding we got fined in California
@ It is cation exchange capacity It has to do with the ratio of magnesium to calcium. More calcium less compaction We have soil test about every 3 years In N V we use Stukenholts Lab in twin Falls Idaho
Props to Cheeto for taking over at 14:14 and keeping things smooth. Teamwork makes the dream work! 🙌🐾

Yea the ground can get extremely hard
Glad i watched this , it reminded me to do this to my grain drill!
It took about 2 1/2 hours. You might want to go ahead and order your parts they took about 3 days to come in
I pray that will have a blessed and prosperous 2025!
Just tan across your channel yesterday. I like it! I have a lot of videos to catch up on. How many acres do you farm? Do you have an equipment video?
Arizona or California?

Can you rip the drip irrigated land? I would assume you could but slowly and shallow? You might answer this before the video is over...
down here in South Alabama.we still brake the land
In 2023 i broke 1,100 acres. Since then i decided to go ahead and sell one breaking plow. It’s a memory i won’t forget 😬
@wildwestfarmer I have good results from doing it.thats why I keep doing it year after year
You probably need to do a CEC test on your soil
What is that??
Yeah, what is a CEC? We use to soil sample every year and I don't remember seeing a CEC. But that was back in the 80's.
