    Woww this looks so good! I've tried making ube crinkle cookies using your recipe before, and they tasted so good I ended up baking another batch the next day. Definitely going to make this one on the holidays! Thanks for sharing the recipe

      Hello Elsie - we use whatever heavy cream brand is available at our local grocery store at the time. Any brand will work. Hope this helps! 😊

    Is ube halaya and ube jam the same thing?

    wanna try it! but what if i dont have ube halaya? i only have ube extract? how to adjust things? can i just add 1tbsp of ube extract instead?

      Hello - if ube halaya is not available, you can leave it out and just rely on the ube extract for the ube flavor in the cake - the majority of the ube flavor in this cake comes from the concentrated ube flavor in the ube extract.
      Ube powder can be used as a substitute for ube halaya if ube halaya is not available - by reconstituting the ube powder in hot water (per packet instructions) making a paste, and adding 1/4 a cup of that paste to the cheesecake batter just like with the ube halaya. Hope this helps! :)
