Ronnie. If you wanna get started with Lovecraft, I recommend the story "Dagon". Its related to this story, and its very short so a good way to dip your toes I think. About 15 minutes. I think Dagon first and then Shadow Over Innsmouth might be great! Looking forward to more of youe amazing work 👏
You do THE BEST narrations!!! I cant listen to any other story narration channels because they just don't hit as well as your story narrations do, you have the best quality narrations and it makes me feel spoiled.

It's so funny because their heads pop up all annoyed anytime you're interrupted by ads 😂 something about yours and LHH's voices gets them to curl up together and just chill out, which is a far and few between activity for Huskys lol

10/10. Wow, that one blew my mind. Probably my favorite story you've ever conjured for us. Sound effects were awesome as always. The sound of the cousing gurgling and coughing, his voice, the voice of the doctor... It was all incredibly well done. Really brought the story to life. Thanks for that wonderful treat!
Hey, another cheesy commenter! Just want to say that this channel got me back into creepypasta stories after years of not listening to them! I've been listening to them to and fro my classes at uni and they've been excellent. Really appreciate your narration not being completely monotone and the really great sound design! Thanks for the great content

Great story and great narration! Also just because I have seen anyone else mention it, I’ve always heard Dagon pronounced as “day-gone”, but everything else was perfect!
Honestly this is my first time that I have ever heard of you, let alone heard you read. I was engaged right from the first paragraph and listened entrapped by your glorious play with words. It was a great story, narrated by an even greater Narrator. I gladly have subscribed and will be listening with great pleasure all that you have to offer. Signed one new fan. ❤
Awesome timing somnium! Mondays are always my last day in my work week so I always look forward to the uploads. Keep up the amazing work! You and romnex are my two favorites
Great job, I loved the narration. The background noise was very hard to hear, but other than that you really set the tone. Thanks again for being here and doing this, it truly gets me through the day.
I found your channel about 2 weeks ago, been obsessed ever since! I’ve never heard stories read with such detail and even some sounds in the background that feel like I’m watching it happen in front of me. I appreciate you and all of your helpful voice actors and actresses ❤that make these stories incredible!
As someone who barely reads comments, but hasn't slept for 23 years without meds and 20 without horror stories zoning out my 'dreams', I just want to say how beautiful the comments are. And you most certainly deserve them mate. Incredible help for people, as the first comment from @skyfallgaming2000 clearly shows. Wish all of you all the best
I love listening to your stories during work. I'm a night stocker for a grocery store and get so engrossed in the stories to pass the time. So much so that I've spooked myself because of my coworkers wanting to ask me something, and I've zoned out to the story. Keep up the great work!
Always more Lovecraft. As for pronunciation you got most right. Instead of DAG-on it's Day-gn. Cthulhu is always disputed but Lovecraft himself stated in an interview that it's pronunciation is more guttural and sound more like Thooloo. Keep up the great work. These stories get me through hours of tedium at work and I appreciate it greatly.
I’m putting together a small miniature Japanese house. This story and your voice , helped me put together a tiny bath house. Now on to the prayer room.❤
I would be absolutely stoked to listen to your narrations of Lovecraft’s stories! You’re my absolute favorite narrator here on YT, I usually tend to space out with narrated stories but you just have this unique way of bringing them to life, and when you work with Rom it’s just perfection! Always looking forward to your videos ❤
I knew from the Uncle's description this was gonna be Innsmouth related. That's one of the best Lovecraft stories. Don't worry too much about the pronunciations of the Old Gods. Just like their appearance, the spellings of the names are just feeble approximations of the true name, which human language can only hint at
Dude you’re awesome I’ve been listening to your stories for a couple months now and I’m definitely blown away by your music, sound design, and the characters you bring to life! Helps me get through my work day!
These videos helped me so much, these stories filled me with creativity and for a few months now it feels like im unstoppable!! Thank you for reading these you do such a great job, i feel like im there myself and i can imagine things again 😅
HP Lovecraft is one of my favorite authors and Shadows Over Innsmouth is my favorite of his stories. This felt so much like a Lovecraft, the author did a wonderful job. Thank you both for giving me a new Innsmouth story.
Thanks so much for your awesome narrations my guy, I can tell how much care you take in them and it really keeps you a step above every other channel I've found. This ones like a cinematic experience.
You absolutely should get into and even do some recordings for Lovecraft stories! The first story I read was the Dunwich Horror and it was phenomenal. My friend who’s a big Lovecraft guy has said that he doesn’t recommend jumping into stuff like the Shadow of Insmouth or Call of Cthulhu ASAP, but to build up to some of these crazier stories. Regardless, the effort you put in to your videos is phenomenal and if you do decide to do a recording of one, take some time to read a few and choose your favorite!
Love H.P. Lovecraft Horror - keep up the good work... Alot of his stories are very short - The Shunned House, From Beyond... And you're right - they are written in an older style of language so they are a mouthful if you are reading them out loud... Any of his work or people who emulate his genre would be great to hear.
This was an amazing story. Such a way to tell how blood is really thicker than water. This was very reminiscent of a Lovecraftian story. Thank you so much for this story which so well written and read. It made my Thursday morning. God Bless.
I always look forward to your posts, Ronnie. You're truly the best in this genre of the platform. There's just something (or many things) that are unique and so very special about the way you treat your narrations. You make it an artform ❤
Great story! I'd like to hear more Lovecraftian themed ones. Also not sure if this should be directed at you or the author but the term is "stave off" not "starve off."
I’m from Cumbria, there’s lots of myths and legends and spooks around this area but it’s never spoken about on the internet. It’s refreshing to hear a story set here!
I've been a fan of Lovecraft for quite a few years this was a brilliant addition to his universe. Well done 🙂 i agree the language of Lovecraft is tricky, id be happy ro recommend a couple of channels where the narrators read stories that have similar old british style but easier to understand that might help you.
You are my favourite, the stories you pick and the way you present it is second to none. I literally watched every video you have made. Thank you and please keep it up
Somnium! I've listened to every story you've ever made and I listen to every story that you put out as soon as I can and thos one was to tier! Not just incredible writing but your narration brought it to life and made it special! Absolutely incredible! Thank you!

Yesss we want more, we neeedss itt! Please do, to me the pronunciations are perfect, as always thank you. As for the story well, that is the narrator's choice. We know you won't disappoint us with the story you pick, as you have excellent taste in stories.
Lovecraft can be a difficult one, the man is a master of both purple prose and long, obscure words. The Shadow Over Innsmouth would be a great one to narrate for you, both because it ties directly into this story and is where a lot of the cthulu mythos lore referenced in this story specifically comes from, but it also has great potential for sound design with multiple setttings including industrial warehouses, the seaside, buses, and museum tours. One of my favorites is "The Festival," which I actually read on my channel a while back. Also, Sweet Ermengarde, which is not part of the cthulu mythos but was rather written to make fun of terrible romance novels of the time. I've always thought it would be a great april fools day prank for a horror channel to narrate that story, as it is a genuine Lovecraft story but has nothing to do with anything horror.
As soon as I saw “Dagons Mirror” and heard that their last name is Marsh I was hooked. This gives Innsmouth vibes and I'm here for it. Thanks for the new story Ronnie!
New upload yess! These helped me stay sane when I was getting sober, I really appreciate and respect the effort and craft you put into your work. It's an art form and you've nailed it, the sound design is fantastic :)
@@Darksomnium hoping to fall back asleep for a bit since I don’t have to wake up for work for another 4 hours, ended up listening to the whole story though since it was so good 😊 gotta put on an older one so I can get some more 💤💤💤 Thanks for all the great content and helping me sleep. Plus my pup gets to listen to your stream while I go to work! Finally got her to stop barking when I left when I tried it out
@@Darksomnium OH HI this will require some context but I'm finishing my graduation project which is a relief depicting a scene from the life of Gonzalo Guerrero, a Spanish sailor who ended up stranded in Yucatan, then taken prisoner by the Maya people and eventually got fully embraced by their society. He gained a high military status and marrying a Maya woman. When offered to return to Spain he declined and ended up fighting the Spanish to prevent colonisation. I'm portraying a scene that's heavily inspired by Maya stone reliefs and Maya art style
Woke up feeling out of sorts, decided to put this on to take my mind off things, and was very pleasantly surprised to find it was based on The Shadow Over Innsmouth. Definitely brightened my mood a bit. I will never say no to Shadow Over Innsmouth content. It's really hard to go wrong with that. Cheers for the narration of a great story!
Man life has been busy, I'm sure many can agree to that. I hadn't checked up here in a whole 9 months, and now I have so much fantastic stuff to catch up on! Thanks for the stories, they're all great.
That was awesome! I enjoyed this very much, and the end was just what I was hoping for! I love these longer stories, and the style of the old-world writing. Looking forward to the next one!!
as a gigantic Lovecraft nerd I just get all giddy hearing anything related to the Lovecraftian universe. Absolutely wonderful depiction of the innsmouth look!
I very much enjoyed the other voices in this one. They matched perfectly with the characters they represented. Thank you for bringing another amazing story to life!
I have been a fan of your narrations, and have listened to most of your back log. I can not express my enjoyment of this Lovecraftion tale,my hats off sir to you and the talented author thank you
Men I just wanted to express my thankfulness for the story's you narrated . Always surprised my how well thought through some story's are for example: borrasca ... either way thanks for making my every evening so awesome as it is
YES PLEASE DO MORE!! Anything Lovecraft themed is amazing!! Love the focus on horror we don’t understand rather than the horror we see humans do everyday!
Just finished "My Neighbour told me the darkest secrets about his life" which was such a rollercoaster but very well presented, then this popped up , cant wait to get into it!
@@Darksomnium Every bit of quality we've come to expect and adore, the major plot point differing from recent content across the board is always refreshing, nother' excellent listen P.S - I had a great weekend, how was yours!

Innsmouth was based on Newburyport,Ma by H.P. Lovecraft. Newburyport is a place where you can really feel like there is something lurking underneath what you see. Not all of Newburyport but many places there. Lots of crazy old houses.
As soon as I heard the Marsh and description of the uncle I immediately thought of the Shadow over Innsmouth! NaturesTemper did a reading of it and it's fantastic! One of my old go-to bedtime stories! ❤️
been watching ur videos for years ronnie and they just keep getting better. been making a difference in my life since i was a teenager. don't think i'd have gotten into this genre at all if it weren't for you :)
Gotta say, I was super stoked to hear Lovecraftian horror. He is my favorite author and it’s very underrated, I think it’s important to have pioneers such as yourself help pull that grand ship along. Most definitely, more H.P. Lovecraft!!!!
Thankyou so much for putting so much work in your videos, It is something I appreciate a lot. I would love to listen to this tonight, That being said I'm looking forward to Borreca V!
The thing I love about nicks stories are the atmosphere and the fine literary elements that really sell the story. I also can’t wait for the next part of borrasca. I hope it’s filled with revenge and justice because the villains of that story are amongst the most despicable.
I know it’s been 2 weeks and I’ve been behind on the uploads but man this story was great, I can’t wait to hear what your rendition of Call of Cthulhu will sound like, much love man keep up the great work

Perfect timing! Woke up a bit ago and can’t fall back asleep 🙏 you’re me hero of the night.., well day since it’s 4 am
oh snap, getting up early! I hope you have a great day!
@@Darksomnium hoping to fall back asleep for a bit since I don’t have to wake up for work for another 4 hours, ended up listening to the whole story though since it was so good 😊 gotta put on an older one so I can get some more 💤💤💤
Thanks for all the great content and helping me sleep. Plus my pup gets to listen to your stream while I go to work! Finally got her to stop barking when I left when I tried it out
Great story and great production as always. I am a HUGE fan of Lovecraft and the Cosmic Horror genre, looking forward to more from the channel.
Love these Lovecraft and Eldritch horror stories. I would love to hear more of them. Great job!
Thank you so much for another awesome upload Ronnie you're the best! Keep rocking my friend😊
This is one of my new favorites on the channel, as soon as i heard "insmouth" i knew this was going to be a good one.
Thank you. Your narration is perfect and the story is amazing
This will be great to listen to during wood carving. Thanks Somnium!
ooo what are you making?
This upload just made my night 🌙
Man life has been busy, I'm sure many can agree to that. I hadn't checked up here in a whole 9 months, and now I have so much fantastic stuff to catch up on! Thanks for the stories, they're all great.
That was awesome! I enjoyed this very much, and the end was just what I was hoping for! I love these longer stories, and the style of the old-world writing. Looking forward to the next one!!
as a gigantic Lovecraft nerd I just get all giddy hearing anything related to the Lovecraftian universe. Absolutely wonderful depiction of the innsmouth look!
glad you liked it!
Always surprised my how well thought through some story's are for example: borrasca ... either way thanks for making my every evening so awesome as it is
Oooooh, what a story and an incredible narration! Thanks so much.
Your the best creepypasta narrator i love your videos an hope you never quit making them cant go to sleep without listening to your stories thank you!
Perfect timing, looking forward to the story as always, keep it up man🧡
Hope you enjoy it!
YES PLEASE DO MORE!! Anything Lovecraft themed is amazing!! Love the focus on horror we don’t understand rather than the horror we see humans do everyday!
Just finished "My Neighbour told me the darkest secrets about his life" which was such a rollercoaster but very well presented, then this popped up , cant wait to get into it!
im so glad you enjoyed it! let me know what you think of this one
@@Darksomnium Every bit of quality we've come to expect and adore, the major plot point differing from recent content across the board is always refreshing, nother' excellent listen P.S - I had a great weekend, how was yours!
Love the longer stories! Keep up the good work man, your stories help me so much
Great read. Please do more lovecraftian stuff connected to the mythos, I've red all the original Lovecraft stories more than once, found this channel looking for more Lovecraftian stories and here this comes up. Thank you for this. It's an itch hard to scratch once you dive R'lyeh deep in it
Innsmouth was based on Newburyport,Ma by H.P.
😭omg omg i was waiting for your vid!!
i hope you like it!
lovely as always! i love binge watching these during my gaming sessions!
seeing this upload made me more excited than i was on my birthday yesterday LMAO. putting it on now while i work! :^)
ooo late happy birthday! :) have a good day!
This is one of my favourite stories you’ve narrated in a long time, you have the perfect tone of voice for lovecraftian horror 🙏🏽🙌🏽
Can’t wait !! The last couple stories have been soooo good 😍
im so glad youre enjoying them!
I would love to listen to this tonight, That being said I'm looking forward to Borreca V!
thank you so much! :)
AHHH SHADOW OVER INNSMOUTH! Its one of my fav stories of all time! You did so good Ronnie. Would love love love to have you do the original too!!!!
Great narration and sound effects as always! Great pronunciations also. Have a nice day.
The thing I love about nicks stories are the atmosphere and the fine literary elements that really sell the story. I also can’t wait for the next part of borrasca. I hope it’s filled with revenge and justice because the villains of that story are amongst the most despicable.
This was terrific. More like this would be good.
Thank you
Always great to listen to your videos keep up the great work both with the great horror and the beautiful music
Thank you very much!
I know it’s been 2 weeks and I’ve been behind on the uploads but man this story was great, I can’t wait to hear what your rendition of Call of Cthulhu will sound like, much love man keep up the great work
