      Matt Dymerski is one of my favourite writers. Psychosis, the Portal in the forest series, a shattered life are nothing short of masterclass and among my all-time favourite narrations you did.
      Speaking of, will you ever continue the portal in the forest or narrate "The Asylum"?

      Everyone has anxiety, uncertainty, and self-doubt. Some people are just better at hiding it from themselves and others, or controlling it. If you experience a lot of anxiety and lack of confidence, then you have the advantage of getting lots of opportunities to practice overcoming it.
      Everyone else is just as dumb and unsure of themselves as you or I, even the prettiest and most charming individuals have self-esteem issues and do embarrassing things. Nobody will ever be a fraction of a degree as critical or judgmental of you, as you are of yourself. You are human just like I am, just like your biggest crush, just like your greatest hero. It's the awkward and silly things you hate about yourself, that make you the most beautiful and interesting to others. I forgive you for being strange and unique in your own ways, just as I hope you can forgive me for being strange and unique in my own ways, and I hope that you can forgive yourself and learn to love the wild and crazy parts of yourself that make you beautiful and special. You only have to love your imperfections, to be perfect just the way you are.

      yeah I've actually had experiences kind of like this, albeit less severe. Having chronic anxiety, bipolar disorder, and a sleep disorder that causes hallucinations all at once sure is fun EDIT: fuck, this story is actually even more relatable than I thought, like I've literally *had* these experiences where I was experiencing something really weird that I thought had to be in my head, but then other people acted like they could see it too?? It's messed up

      Its cosmic horror, but personal. The moon is the closest other thing to earth, we can see it with our naked eyes, yet it is so incomprehensibly far away. Something happening to it is more personal than some far flung world or alternate dimension, but still too far to cause immediately noticable affects on earth itself.

    • @AbyssalSoda
      @AbyssalSoda Рік тому

      Well the moon is quite odd, it's made out of a similar but uniform surface material that doesn't match with Earth and contradicts the leading theory it came from Earth, its sits at the perfect distance between the Earth and the Sun to create an eclipse, from scans of its surface we can tell for some reason all craters stop at a uniform depth, implying there's a harder shell like layer below, yet crash tests indicate the moon might be hollow or full of caves like a sponge, as the cherry on top there are also legends or "creation myths" if you will that discuss "day the moon arrived" which detail the Earth having calm seas and dark skies before the moon came and churned and heaved the Earth.

    The part where the girl hollers to the three guys that she's being attacked.
    The Alarm noises you put in. Fucking well done. The Alarm sound was so quiet at first, and as the scene progresses gets louder.
    It was just so fitting. The noise fit everything going on in that scene. The panic, and alarm, of the protags mind as he's hit with a situation that should put alarm bells up. The Alarms fit the woman, who's clearly in on something, raising the alarm to her unseen master, and the alarm of the three men closing in for an attack.
    It just struck me as a very well placed "little thing" that added far more than you may have thought to the scene. Just one more of those "little things" that put your narrations into a very well deserved category. Very well done Boss.

I am not worried that you will succeed and thrive, I have confidence in you, and I hope that we can share our confidence together in your well-being. Take a deep breath, tell yourself that everything is fine. Take another deep breathe, and look at all of the success and survival that you have built around yourself. Excellent concept, writing, and performance! I’m MUCH more engaged by stories of existential dread, unreliable narrators, and any form of mind-bending ideas. I don’t really care about spooky creatures unless there’s a new or cool concept behind the whole scenario. But this story, with the threat possibly being a hero instead, and the idea of an insanity-inducing view that cures the insane... well, that’s just awesome. Thanks again for another great video, and thanks to Matt Dimerski for his writing.

    Real question. Has anyone noticed a huge, super bright, triangle shaped star in the morning? I noticed during the last super moon, and it's been bugging the crap out of me. Anyways, thanks Somn i'am sure this is going to be another great story.

    • @FayeHunter
      @FayeHunter Рік тому +30

      Like, defined triangle, 3 points? Large? If not a star it is most likely a planet (most are only seen at dawn) however do not flicker like a star, since it is just a nearby planet like Mars. Recently there have been some 'perspective' based super -... whatever you wanna call when you see a planet behind another planet making it look like one really large light in the morning.. I've always seen Venus thinking it was a star, it's so very bright in the evening. I could probably answer this for real with a lil' more detail, honestly. Also location matters, ya know, hemispheres and all.

    • @Infinite.Worldz
      @Infinite.Worldz Рік тому +9

      @FayeHunter Now that you mention it, it doesn't seem like it twinkles, and I just see a triangle shape when i look at it, lol. I see it at or around dawn on my way to work. it's in the eastern part of the sky and the eastern part of the country. Sounds like it's a planet. if it is, I wonder which one..... thanks!

    • @FayeHunter
      @FayeHunter Рік тому

      @@Infinite.Worldz You may be looking at Venus after all, if it is just before sun rise. Since orbits are not synced and Venus is closer to the sun, it is always very bright. So good chance you're looking at Venus, since you stated it does not twinkle. Stars do. Planets don't unless they need the WiFi password. Heeeey i think i helped someone again just by knowing 'space lore' lol. SCIENCE!
      Additionally: "Venus reaches greatest brilliancy on September 19. And Mercury - near its September 22 greatest elongation - will be nearby." So you're probably looking at both, or at least just Venus, horray for space! Venus has low render distance lmao.

      Sky View by Epic Apps Studio. If you let it have your region and oriented right, it will label all the stars, planets, et ctr and the phone will reflect your own perspective if you're holding in front of you. Anyway I'm sure you'll figure it out but it has the option to show the planetary plane and where it is in the sky and you'll be able to figure out if it's a planet if it's on that line with bare eyes.@@Infinite.Worldz

    Oooo this was very interesting I’m def relistening. Knowing that the author wrote Psychosis and the Standing outside one was so cool and that it’s in the same universe. I love how each story has such in depth explanations/descriptions of a mental health issue, it doesn’t just paint the protagonist out to be just a “crazy “ person but instead paints everyone else being odd. I think it was such a cool take that the ones unaffected in this story by the moon were people with mental health issues , like some cool superhero type thing. And the fact that the main character mental health was made “whole” after looking at the moon. I’ve always wondered what was wrong with myself or why I couldn’t be like everyone else, so having turned it to “what the fuck is wrong with everyone else??” Was so clever and cool.
    I always wondered what the deal was with the 2 moons with the Standing Outside story and this would make sense. He did say here only like 18% were affected so maybe this mass paranoia happened some time before or after those events. Lastly I found alot of parallels and relatability with the way the author wrote about mental health. There’s such stigma and stereotype, especially those who suffer from hallucinations, with people who have mental health issues. It was refreshing to see a creative way to showcase these everyday issues in a psych/thriller type story. Hope you do more by them I enjoyed this one a lot!!

    I really loved this one!! :) I'm in the process of getting a diagnosis for bipolar and this perfectly describes the paranoia and delusions that can come from mania. Honestly I can't listen to these types of stories unless I'm in a good place mentally because they make me feel the paranoia too much haha.
    I also love when the delusions end up being true. Yeah the character had mental issues but it actually played into the story and it wasn't just a "unreliable narrator, guess what's actually real? Whoops he was just going through psychosis. That's it.". I mean you can still see it like that, these types of stories that deal with mental health are kind of open ended since you can look at it from different perspectives, but I like the one's where something actually *is* going on so I'm taking it at face value. :,)
    Great narration as always!! You're keeping me company as I'm working on tattoo flashsheets again ((I'm doing some spooky Halloween inspired pieces you can see in my pfp haha)). I'm gonna go listen to another one now! Take care ♡♡
