Interesting fact: The child actors weren’t allowed to see Bill Skarsgard (Pennywise) during set. The director wanted their first reactions to pennywise to be genuine. They interview Bill, and he said one of the scenes with him and Jack Dylan Grazer (Eddie), he asked if he was okay because he was worried about him. Jack said his performance was fantastic.
@@SC-pg7jrvisually maybe, but most remakes especially horror films fall flat horribly when it comes to the story and most other things besides the affects.
I don't know man. Kids can be stupid obviously, but they still have fight or flight instincts. When I was a kid, If i saw a clown in the sewer talking to me about some shit I'm out. The clown wouldn't even get a sentence out before I started dipping. Georgie is just a macguffin to progress the story so they made his character more slow than usual even for a kid.
@@prozaxz This isn't about nurture, this is about nature. No matter what age kids know not to mess with scary looking shits in a gutter smiling with sharp teeth.
Georgie was not stupid. Georgie was like 6 or 7 years old, and sheltered. Expecting him not to be able to be manipulated by a supernatural clown is "stupid".
I love Richie's speech in the scene when the Losers Club goes into Pennywise's lair ro save Beverly. "I told you, Bill. I fucking told you. I dont wanna die. It's your fault. You punched me in the face, you made me walk through shitty water, you brought me into a fucking crackhead house, and now....(picks up a baseball bat) I'm gonna have to k*ll this fucking clown. (turns to Pennywise) WELCOME TO THE LOSERS CLUB, ASSHOLE!!!! (bludgeons Pennywise)
God, I could talk about IT/Pennywise for fucking hours, dude. There's so much interesting shit, even more so in the book. Like, I always wish they'd put more backstory for Patrick Hockstetter in the movie cause that kid is a fucking nightmare, and it's so awesome. There's a scene in the book where Pennywise is trying to make a form of itself to scare Patrick and can't even figure out what the kid is scared of, so it just looks like it's melting. Not to mention, it's final form (that the human eye can perceive) being a giant, pregnant female spider. And oh my god, the ritual of chud in the book? Fucking insane. There's so much I could say.
Yeah, I read somewhere that when he was younger, he murdered his baby brother. He also kept dead animals that he killed inside a refrigerator at a dump. I think he was smiling when Henry was craving his name on Ben’s stomach.
One thing I love about this version of the story is how well they were able to incorporate that feeling of dread that was all throughout the book without necessarily having to copy the events beat for beat. Like the painted lady scene feels ripped straight out of Stephen king’s writing even though it’s completely film original.
Since you liked It, you all would probably like other Steven King movies. My highest recommendation is that you all react to The Stand, '90s version (recent version is disappointing). It's a limited miniseries made for tv originally but it's held up really well.
If you want to see a scary clown who doesn't care or isn't afraid of who he's killing, react to Terrifier for next Halloween. One of the best modern slasher villains to date in my opinion. 👍
I forget you guys name cuz it’s been a while seen I watched the intro and skipped 😂but long black sleeve with yellow prints and hate definitely was pointing towards Rob? I think on the far right of black sleeve guy to make him look like he wasn’t the only one scared 😂
I so bad want to tell you what happens in the book where they bond themselves in the end but I understand why they didn't in the movie. readers of the book will know what I mean.
Love love love love this movie so much! It's so fucking good! Yeah IT 2017 is just amazing the visuals, the acting, the cinematography, the directing, just a heartfelt but heartbreaking film!!!!!
15:52 The way Pat really jumps and embarrassingly glances around to see if anyone notices 😂

IT one of the few films where the modern reboot is way better than the og
Factsss this shii was hard 🔥
I mean most reboots are actually better than old horror movies with horrible cgi
@@SC-pg7jrnot really.
Mmmm idk if I would say that. They’re both unique in my opinion. Tim curry is still my favorite IT haha.
@@SC-pg7jrvisually maybe, but most remakes especially horror films fall flat horribly when it comes to the story and most other things besides the affects.
Beverly was anything but a damsel. If anything she was Pennywise’s biggest threat because she didn’t fear him anymore. Like Billy.
He was a kid. Kids don’t function as adults, that’s why he didn’t react the way an adult would talking to a clown in a sewer 😊
Kids can get easily manipulated, so calling him stupid and he deserved to die is straight up wrong.

exactly. like that's a fucking kid, not an adult.
