Hi! Great videos. Hoping to do it this year, this is getting me v excited, looks beautiful. You did it June right? If you don’t mind, how much did it roughly cost to stay in BnBs the whole way, in total? Thanks!
Hi Luke. Yes it was June that I did it, I was very lucky with the weather to be fair. I’ve done a couple of other long distance walks and not had the weather so it’s very hot and miss. In terms of cost, I can’t remember exactly but, I had two rooms at £39 and a couple at £40, most were £50 or £55. Most expensive was in Montgomery which was £77. So I’d say given it was 11 nights (including Prestatyn at the end) it would average out at somewhere round £550 to £600 for B&B’s the full route. Then you have food costs and travel costs of getting there and back (train for me) to add on. It can soon start to add up but then most 10-12 days holidays will likely be around that figure I guess. All I’d add is that if you do go for B&B’s the full route, you often get better prices contacting them directly than doing so through a site like booking.com. I did use that site along with guide books to find some places but then contacted them direct for the better prices.
Walking the other way we had an afternoon beer at the Hunters Moon on a very very hot day! Great pub! Mike
Agreed. Was very quiet on my visit but couldn’t fault the place. Great little spot to chill, I imagine especially so in the hot afternoon sun.
Great video. Makes me feel like an idiot for not walking it when I lived on the path.
Worth the walk, that’s for sure.

Anthony, has this been switched with Part III? It looks like this is from Monmouth (the King's Head).
Oh err, yes I’m not sure what has gone on there… I’ll get the laptop out and sort now. Thanks for the heads up 👍🏼
Yes it seems that for parts 3 and 4, I had put the wrong details on each one 🤦🏻♂️
Should be right now 👍🏼
If that sign isn't motivation enough, I don't know what is. :D
Haha is that the 200m to go sign 🍺👌🏼
