I can't tell you HOW LONG I've been waiting for you to release this replay! Pixie my man, I've been your fan ever since I've discovered youtube. 5 years ago my dad almost died from a 30ft fall, and I was sent home with a neighbor and waited inside for hours waiting for news of what happened. Instead of going outside or doing something productive, I watched your third age videos instead. It really helped me take my mind off the traumatic experience and my dad fully recovered! Don't ever give up your quality of videos and content!

One thing I love about Apollo is that he doesn’t focus on adds, he focuses more on the battle and doesn’t have like an hour long section talking about nord vpn like so many UA-camrs do, he gets right to the content and I love it

I think Spartans are ready and willing to die in battle, I don't think they want to die. If they are to die though, I think they would prefer to die in combat rather then in some other way. Goos Spartan replay.

I watched this live too. Wow, what an absolute bloodbath at the end! Incredible to watch. I agree with Apollo, if the attackers were a little more aggressive they would have made better use of a lot of opportunities that were otherwise squandered.
Spartans are OP in siege defence but in open land battles they are at so much disadvantage no matter what terrain
It’s the commander that counts but yea they don’t do too well
Really enjoyable battle. Kush annoyed me a couple times when they charged their units into the fight because they either completely abandoned the flank for a small attack area,, or they pushed through the Spartans disrupting their formation and also leaving the far weaker flank to be completely obliterated
Apollo this is one of the best battles you have been in I like it how you were patient with your Pikes if you didn’t have them you probably would have lost the battle this is a really great battle props to you man!

After all this time this guy just loves a good Total War siege and I respect that. It gets harder and harder to get these, but Apollo is a hero holding the torch for us to see by. Long live APOLLO!!!!!!

Hey Apollo, if there is any chance u read this comment, I hope u know :
1. Blobing units doesn't mean they block arrows easier, it means enemies' archers get more killed
2. U can not let Heroes Of Sparta take enemies' projectiles or fight a healthy high tier infantries as Spartan Heroes have fewer men
3. Galation Legionaries, Samnite Warriors, Noble Sword of Getae can put up a good fight against Tribal Warriors and they might win

I was stunned by this battle , it was epic but one thing you could have done wad put your general on the wall , pikemen don't go up the stairs with pikes

I sometimes find it hard watching these older Total War games. I miss naval battles so much.
You have to carefully "walk" them through the gate. Otherwise, they go for the path of least resistance and head for the broken wall

The only thing I would have done differently was when you abandoned the square for the final stretch to the "Alamo".
Instead of defending at the mouth of the approach, I would have done a typical Spartan tactic and formed up further back so the attackers would have committed more troops in the throat of it, fought until the units were almost destroyed and THEN released the flaming testicles.
There would have been nowhere for the attackers to go and more of them would have been caught in it.
Use a skinnier cav formation. Easier to get through gate and run through battle field and avoid swords while chasing archers.

In my opinion, I think you shoulda retreated back to the fire balls of justice. This is because if you do, the attackers will be hesitant and waste time. When they do attack, roll them down to cause maximum damage
