Lost 4 seconds on the last split even though it was really really good, again getting all boss skips. I'm moving on from this game after 3 years of running. This run beat the 4 player TAS only due to boss skips.
My best time without the boss skips is 17:00 (which is the fastest time)

New to speed running. Think I'm going to give this game a try. I just remember being able to bomb though it as a kid. Also best LJN published game. There are some great ideas here. We don't need a remake but just steal the ideas and make a new Elm Street Game.

I’ve spent a year of me and a friend of mine trying to beat this on 2 player! My friend has a drinking problem tho so his reflexes are trash
Pretty amazing luck being able to go into the first three houses in a row, one after the other like that.
Not luck anymore since we figured out you can manipulate house order. By holding start at the beginning, you have a couple frames window to do it.

My sum of best is around 15:46 and that's if all sections are deathless, have good RNG on the bats and water drops, and get first try skips. Sub 15 won't happen unless you cheat with turbo.
Why did you keep stopping at various points in the final battle?

Junkyard and then the Cemetery? I'm curious about the order. Is there a strat behind taking damage too?
No, ideally you want to take none, after bosses you are fully healed. The water drops are all random.

First 3 levels in the first 3 houses are randomized From there the levels are from the far left and then work your way right. As for managing damage. You get 4 hits per life. Health is restored fully after a boss fights. If you're going to die, it's better to die closer to the top of the screen as you will respawn faster.
You have to do it in that order! I think taking damage is more that perfection is impossible, and he was saying that the water droplets that fall from the ceiling in all of the underground levels and in nancies house are randomized so it can affect your speed/make it harder to play through those areas perfectly! This guy looks like he’s a robot or something, this is way harder than it looks, every punch is timed so well!

I'm starting a marathon of watching all of the movies again, so it reminded me of this game. Killer run. I never finished the game as a kid.
Why take so many deaths?
cause its faster to take damage than to keep avoiding getting hit. Also this run only has 5 deaths, which is actually incredibly good so I don't understand. Only 2 deaths on the last stage is normal.
@@Rayquaza911 i noticed several instant deaths near the end. I meant those ones. I saw why stuttered at the end to skip boss rushes
