Forward Controls Design makes a flash hider that looks like an A2 birdcage, is compatible with DeadAir suppressors, and works on 13.9" barrels, pinned and welded.
Nice Video! Recently, I picked up an old Bushmaster receiver that had A1 upper sights, a shell deflector, and what looks like an A2 lower. I didn’t know what it would be ‘clone correct’ for, but it looks like if I get a short barrel and collapsing buttstock, it will be very close to what you’ve got. Right now, I have it built to represent an A1, 20” rifle (see my vids), but that may have to change! Chris, Tx
Good stuff, cool little rig. One thing to note. I dont believe socom was using this in the 80s and 90s, Delta was. I could be wrong but I've never heard of socom using them. I'm building one of these out at the moment, awesome little rigs, the main things different I'm doin is using a 14.5 pencil barrel and the aluminum car15 stock with an a1 grip.
Nice 723 late production clone I do wish that H&R would offer a late production model 'cause they only make early production model with the A1 upper and pencil barrel at the moment.
I’ve got the PSA version in 11.5 and 16 inch love these guns especially for the price. However I do have some surfire metal mags that are 60 rounds and 100 rounds
The “travel” is not reduced with a carbine system. The Stroke/Carrier Travel is the same. What’s reduced is the amount of spring coils (and weight depending on what buffer you’re using). I’ve been think about building one of these. The uppers are hard to come by at the moment like you said!
I have a colt AR15A4, it comes with a detachable carry handle. I been shopping steel competition at my local match. Just using the iron sight but I keep hitting the big side knob in the detachable carry Handel iron sight. Been looking for an A2 upper but it seem like it’s hard to find. Yes I am one of the few people who shoot iron in my local matches. Lot of fun.
Yea like dude said. I think bushmaster also. I have the same thing except lower is bushmaster also. Not pre ban but built in Maine before they were sold/split
No, it's not gas deflection. The "Brunton Bump" is a brass deflector, put there to protect left handed shooters. It's not uncommon to hear them referred to as a shell deflector, but it's incorret.

I have one modelled after the 933.I love the 12" carbines.
I think you did real good, and they look great!

Building one of these now. The round FA should be correct from everything I have found.
Sweet Clone Build I Love it 😀😊❤️😇
Thanks

Thanks for the comments and corrections. I think you're right.
I like the Delton lower. It has an old school look to it with its markings. Another nice build. I like the breakdowns it’s neat.
Thank you for commenting and watching!
Nice 723 late production clone

Check them out. They have some for sale now
Good video, with lots of detail. Its a nice clone, I’m still gathering parts for my build.

why the phantom flash hider vs the extended bird cage? I see several people using these.
Think that’s just what bushmaster used back then. I have almost the same 14.7 p&w but the lower is bushmaster also. Windham Maine built.

I am working on building my own 723 clone. Nice video. Thanks.

Soon after I recorded the video I realized my mistake and put that in the video description.
I have an a2 upper, like you said can't find this upper, so I plan on doing a 727 clone.
What color is your upper/lower receivers? Colt gray cerakote?
More of a black. They probably need a refinishing to gray.
Very cool build!
Thanks!
How’s everyone getting these retro parts? I haven’t been able to find any retro parts online for the last year.
Where can I find that upper?
Good vid sir
Cool build!

Which N1 stock to you use? How is it?
The modern CAR stocks made by B5 systems are direct copies of the N1. No real difference.
Clone weapon rifle. 😮
How can I Get one of those?
Sick.
What brand is the upper?
No idea
@@pourindiesel Looks like a Bushmaster.

The A1 upper used has a marking of a diamond over M, so this is a Mueller Industries manufactured upper.
