We'll also be discussing retro gear, gun culture, airsoft, Larry Vickers, Night Vision, and medieval weaponry. It's pretty great...

@@tylergendron4707 how braindead do you have to be to actually care about being early let alone actually comment it 🤤
If I had just stayed with my original carry handle Colt, I would be in style now. Instead of the stuff that I now have that is in style, which is really not in style.
fashion is temporary, carry handle is forever
What's old is new
Anything other than flip flops and silkies is tacticool garbage.
One little correction here: the xm moderators weren't designed for the purpose of making it sound like an AK, they were designed to reduce the muzzle flash and increase back pressure to ensure reliable operation of the then-new carbine gas system.
Interesting, always heard about it changing the report of the gun. Good info!
@@BlueJeanOperator it does change it, and it was intentional, but not necessarily to sound like an AK, just to tame the flash and noise of 5.56 out of a short barrel, lol. Plus the back pressure thing. Dwell time (the time the bullet is in the barrel between the gas port and muzzle) was something those engineers were experimenting with a lot.
They even had m16s where the cut the barrel to 16in with the rifle length gas system I forgot the name colt had for them but they had issues too back then until they figured out opening up the gas port to solve the back pressure issues
@@BlueJeanOperator It was to bring the muzzle blast and decibel level down to that of a 20" M16.
There were different muzzle devices experimented with and produced for the Colt 607 and the XM177 before the 4.5" moderator was mass-produced for the XM177E2.

“Tune in to this episode of Blue Jean Operator, where Administrative Results discloses his face, admits he’s Larry Vickers, who moonlights as a sex worker outside Ft. Bragg, AND that his next retro work will be done at the Tucson Renaissance Festival!”
Underrated comment
My god, man! That's the best damn A.R. comment yet. Well, I mean technically it's on Poo Mean Operator's chaneel but whatever. How the fuck did I spell channel like that?
Flannel Daddy introduced me to Admin Results and now Mr Results introduces me to blue Jean guy
Retro ARs are damn beautiful
Kane Lives.
Also my favorite as well!
Agreed.
I think they’re kind of ugly. But functional, so I believe they indeed fuck.
I need to go out to the range again, damn I miss having a life outside of UA-cam
Someone needs to make those well scripted intros about the E&L aks 😏
"Oh hi mark!"
Reject modernity, embrace retro
Spend on ammo.
Wearing the 'Paul Harrel night out suit'❤❤❤
I’m here as a representative for administrative results. Our leader wants compensation for trauma endured.
Not gonna lie, I think this is my favorite gun aesthetic.
CAR15’s, 20” M16A2’s, and tarkov ak74’s all day every day
my airsoft gun once died on the field, so I just chased teammates around as an ammo carrier
cause I carry 8 spare mags
play how you train, train how you fight
my first .556 AR was a mid length A2 from rock river arms. it was a really good rifle all around, but i ended up swapping the barrel for a 20' full length and a quad rail. It's goofy but i love it. i plan on getting an A4 mid length and do a sort of commando build. Retro modern set ups are always going to be a guilty pleasure of mine.
That Is literally the rifle I made a year ago, minus the aimpoint, I went Aim 9000.
Isn't that literally just a tube?
I know the rail mounts for Peqs where around during my first deployment to Iraq in 2004-05 time frame. They mounted firmly on barrel, around the gastube and through the plastic A2 handguard. I've seen them around on eBay... I was super JELLY cause I didn't get one so I had no way to aim my A2 at night with my PVS-7!
I love the retro stuff, built a few myself. Run alice predominantly. My pistol is an anachronistic 607/177e2, got a 601 with m4 feedramps and tritium sights. I need a 18" walnut m14 for my collection.
I have built several ar-15,s over the years. The mid length is my favorite for a number of reasons. I also like the "retro" because I do NOT have rails and hang tons of extra stuff on my carbine to increase weight! The mid length does away with "bolt bounce" so commonly encountered on CAR type ar,s. Also I can mount a bayonet if I want. Finally despite differences in Rifling twist (1/9 is best) I think 5.56 is realistically a 300-400 yard round.
Ever since Musk bought Twitter I've been getting really solid recommendations, like your channel. I'm sure we weren't being throttled and it's all in my head. We sure do enjoy some Administrative Results
*Gets the Talking Balaclava on his channel.
*Gets the Talking Balaclava to take brass to the face (Balaclava).
Nice.
True story. Second week being stationed in Fort Bragg I had a psychological downward spiral. Had to be admitted into womack behavioral health. Got out after 5 days after learning I was stable enough. Got my barracks only to find out my room had been broken into. Stole everything, personal and issued equipment. It was the worst introduction of that place I couldve asked for.
It’s impossible for me not to crack up at admin results’ humor.
Its fair to say admin brought sexy back with the blood diamond build
I am convinced Administrative Results is just Garand Thumb's twin brother and he wears the balaclava so we don't find out.
100% love it as old timer....watching you rock it in a few vids made me pull my A2 HBAR like I carried in the day and give it some love.
Such a Peacemaker and Vigilante bond 😄
Dude, that is the greatest impression of Garand Thumb I've seen. That's some funny shit right there.
man now this is a collab I was rly hoping would happen
I don't know how many times I've seen that rifle of Blood Diamond, but it never gets old...love it actually....Hope I can get one someday...that and Gary Gordon's rifle...
I dig gun channels with a sense of humor, you have a new subscriber
Love the collab vids I see of the top gun UA-camrs I watch, always cool to see
It's funny to think that now the trend of high mount red dots at 1.93 or even higher was invented back in the 80s
A 6.5 lb loaded XM-177E2 is a huge improvement compared to the average M-4 carbine with all the latest accessories which I believe is up towards 11 pounds when loaded. The 177 is great for stuffing in a ruck for short outdoors events. But as an old retired Army Infantryman (1983-2009) I’ve humped 3 different versions of the M-16 and the benefits and cons after being in two wars. Like most fellow gun freaks, I have a few various AR-15’s but I stopped at the MLOK craze, I’m essentially focused on military variants and battle rifles. I recently bought a couple 11.5” lightweight XM-177E2 barrels and the correct length fake moderators and my 177E2 build came out beautiful. My biggest issue was the finding the correct shade of gray ceramic coating paint to use. The light parkerizing gray is nowhere close to the correct shade so I settled on the tactical deep gray and it matches perfectly. My next build will be just plain black and live with it, lol.
Thanks for taking time to make this video.
Built a middy/retro 14.7 p&w myself and it’s awesome, definitely a handy little carbine.
A classic Ranger build shot by a Classy Ranger. I approve ❤️
Ultimate goal: get Leonardo Di Caprio on the channel with AR and both retro ARs to see how a 20 clip from Blood Diamond influenced the gun community
I did a retro/modern AR build an i really like it. Carry handle with optic on top really slaps
Ahhhh, sat on an A2 upper for years and finally put one of these together last yr. So glad I didnt sell it. They're hard to get now.
I have two mid length carry handle rifles, one has a red dot and the other with a magnified optic has a larue risr. Great combo’s.
Seeing BDU’s and old school H-harnesses that I wore in my youth is such a dopamine hit 🤘
Very entertaining video glad to see a bunch of new gun tubers collaborating to keep content coming. Mabey One day a couple of things close to me will drop and i’ll get the confidence to range skits
That montage intro with the Dark Synth was on point!
This is almost exactly the style of AR carbine I would like to get, I grew up in the 80’s and when I started getting into guns (92-93) these Bushmaster/CAR-15 style AR’s were common and pretty expensive. I wasn’t able to afford one, I ended up buying an SKS for a first rifle the upgraded to a Mini 14 a couple years later. Only one or maybe two of us “gun guys” was able to afford an AR. I still prefer the carry handle and old style handguards on mind.
When I was way younger I built an a1. And I used an F mark Front sight block and wonderd why I had to bottom out the post to get zero🤣
The GTF off the burn is mint. Great vid thanks!
im really glad i got my a2 upper when i did unmolested and unpainted with original parts on it in 2020 before these things got popular again
Same. I got a bcm a2 upper in peak COVID19 because there weren't any free float available. So happy that's how it worked out
@@CiviTac i love the deltra ring dont get me wrong my bca side charger is cool but its not a light weight retro rifle cant beat the light handy rifle
@@joemorganeatmyshortschannel my a2 is a thicc girl but i agree with you: lighter the better
@@CiviTac mines a 16 carbine a2 but it has the old medium profile barrel i really lucked out it was a dpms like the lower i had
I had an old, as in USA made, Blackhawk woodland camo vest that'd hold only 12.m16 mags. But that was over 20years ago.
I like your rifle there and think you did a wonderful job with it. Mid length carbine is my favorite rifle by far. Controllable length, easy to move around with. Very low recoil and able to check my"Homework" thru the sights. Either strong hand or weak hand. I think I might change out to a carry handle upper.what the hell huh!
Man i bet that middy would look even more dope if somebody were making some midlength A1 style triangular handgaurds
Started watching your vids when a buddy introduced me a few weeks ago....
Really like your stuff. Keep it up.
Love to hit the range with ya. Let me know if you ever are in Minnesota
O yea. .. hi admin!
The LARP continues. Stoked admin linked this. 🤙🏾
Built a KISS 16" barrel A2 Middy with an A2 buttstock. I call it the A2 Stubby. It's my fav LARPer with a milsurp LBV.
Love it my two favourite gun tubers together.
Hope to see more of you guys you have good chemistry, that air bnb was worth it’s money 😁
Look forward to seeing any footage you have from the airsoft event.
Got one piece for my retro build started many more to come
USMC 1995-97 we had maglight velcro light saddles to attch our large maglights on the rifle.. lol
I like what you do man. Subbed
I like the retro style.
Had to pause and subscribe halfway through the intro, very nice indeed
I've got an 11.5" AR "pistol" with a C7 upper(A1 upper with a forward assist and an A2 brass deflector but a1 carry handle and sight). Basically the AR from the movie Heat, similar to a Colt 733. I've been thinking about putting some sort of red dot that looks sorta retro like an Aimpoint PRO or something and a flashlight like in the video.
That intro was beautiful.
I love the retro builds.
Great option for a peq and optic on a car15 is those gooseneck mounts
15:40 when he said “ I love you lol” he not capping 😂
Thank you for your service to the larpers
Now I know y the colt 'retro' fixed 4x scope was out of stock... I thought I was so special w/ my retro build. Shoutout to primary arms fixed 3x tho!!
Very nice. I would like to see a comparison with the mosin obrez
Very much enjoyed the homage to T-Rex. Cracked me up.
Love it!!! Make it your own!
Fort Bragg North Carolina is a place my grandmas got a crack in her ceiling from them training 🤣
"I thought you said Panama was gonna be like a vacation" LMAO
I was dieing when you said Very Lickers! So funny
Wow, this must have been before the war on bugs and beumos Aires
I've been using the IWC mount for over a decade before they were cool as a security professional and a C7 upper. Just use what works. I prefer the carbine length gas system because it's easier to get get parts overseas. I prefer the newer waffle stock. Look into Specter slings for the best way of attaching one to the standard sling mount. Rather than looking at retro, look into KISS rifles. It's what I needed as a long gun was kinda a secondary weapon over a handgun that was concealed.
15:18 "I wouldn't be opposed to getting, like, maybe a halberd of some kind, going really retro"
It's more modern than you may think, just look at the Indian and Chinese border conflicts, they're using all sorts of polearms out there
Freakin love your videos man, only thing is we need some better audio- other than that everything else is awesome!
9:44 Forward controls 6315KM. It’s a keymo a2 flash hider
My current retro mid length is a semi custom Proto-5.56. The default offering from Brownells has a 20” pencil barrel with a 1:14 twist. I don’t like how sensitive pencil barrels are, and 1:14 is functionally useless with modern ammo, so I decided to build one from various stripped parts, with the barrel from CMMG. 16.5”, 1:7, medium taper, and a mid length gas tube. With walnut furniture, because wood really sells the retro aspect. As a legal disclaimer, I did not install an FRT-15, my rifle is 100% full semi auto. 😏
Leopold mark 4 cqt if you want a retro gwot varible optic for carry handles
The deadpool reference was 🔥😂
What a time to be alive
*4:38** Remember when B.C. referred to "before Christ"*
My favourite type of results are the Administrative ones
i want that blackhawk assault vest so very much
did admin really get yelled at for being on the berm? lmao
Glad I found ur channel.im I guess now a ol skool 2/75() guy.RLTW!
I need to build me one of these.
Synth is 🔥
Dude...is that a Plynyl Jacket? If so: well done, Sir, well done.
Fantastic. Admin is actually LAV!
We laugh but Talking Balaclava was actually created by DARPA and he really is a younger Larry Vickers underneath.
Have you tried mounting an acog directly to the carry handle? I believe they were originally designed to be mounted directly without the need for picatinny so you can have a magnified optic with a decent cheek weld
SLX micros also mount that way, and that would be how I’d do the optic mainly due to the size.
How did I never think of "Very Lickers" before?
If I see Administrative Results, I click! I stayed for the content!
Opening scene isn’t too far from the truth, our first fire fight, half my squad froze up and didn’t shoot back! Lol
Delta Force froze up one time. Learned from it.
"M43 Ball has a low B.C. and sucks".
Gets shot at by 17 AKMs and shits pants, freezes up...can't move... can't even hear himself crying in his up armored humvee.....survives. That was me.
Leaves Army. Never talks about it.
It’s all good, Combat is chaos!
@@Blackpowderdad It's only fun if it's a cologne daddy turkey shoot.
I lied about the last story. But it's a story that has been non-larped from generation to generation...and a valued lesson for all.
My man's trying to cut weight for a match wearing that leather jacket in central america
Like the retro 782 gear, but do I spy the clasp on the web belt as being the worst of designs. Get down to supply and turn that war belt in for one that has the top and bottom pinch release..
Good video but you didn’t cover the rest of the specifics of the build for your fellow Larpers
My AR is a Carry Handle 16" because Admin Results and you.
Wish AR had his Retro AR with him in this video.
Yea this gun is sick
