Mark you may not remember every film that you saw with your dad, but they all contributed greatly to your ability to put together these consistently strong short films you do all the time now. Best car channel on youtube.
It's obvious you spent some time making and editing this video, a true homage to the automotive perfection that this car represents. Can't wait to see where the gt3 and savagegeese go in the future
The way you formatted this video almost made me shed a tear, and this is truly a dedication to automobiles and the passion they brought us. Thank you Mark for depicting the exact feelings and emotions we car enthusiasts get when we are talking about our dream cars. And Thank you Porsche for keep making cars like this and for keeping our dreams alive.
From your quirky humor to your uncanny ability to articulate the essence of an automotive experience, Savagegeese is the best car channel, period. You guys have move the bar yet again with this latest. I’m left speechless following the video…I can only say, “thank you”.
Brilliantly gave us “peasants” a taste of what it’s like to drive one of these with the cinematography. Honestly one of my favorite videos you guys have made.
I've seen one recently in red. As usual it was driven by an old guy. The proportions were spot on and the whole thing with the giant wing looked majestic.
I love the gt3 and all but I really don't think it's the best travel, family or transport car out there. So less that it doesn't make the cut to be the best overall car. Something like the taycan CT or Panamera GTS would take that role.
After driving the 991.2 GT3 at the Porsche Experience I really got the experience that you see written about the GT3. When I was younger I always figured it was just hyperbole about a way too expensive car, but the more you learn the more you understand. The sound at 9000 RPM is amazing, the razor sharp inputs and throttle response, the huge grip and brakes, and how when you figure out to load the front coming into a corner and then you can get on the throttle early on the way out to exploit the grip, it is a great feeling. Then you factor in that you basically have a bullet proof GT3 Cup engine in the car, with amazing fit and finish and you can easily understand why it costs so much.
My buddy took me for a ride back in the day when his 996 GT3 was new - car reminded me of a 600cc sportbike how it just wanted to rev and rev and how the speed built. The answer is always Porsche.
@@roboticvenom1935 The c8z is a nice accomplishment by GM, but not in the same league as a GT3. Fit, Finish, Engineering, and Euphonious all in one. (I own a c7 z06).

Mark, this video touched my soul. My dad was also into films, he traded movie-rights but it all ended in mineur ... Dad and I we both shared the same passion, cars. And while we were struggling to meet ends, we could only enjoy cars from a distance, and we did. But as you described so well in your video, this passion pushed me while taking countless hurdles. I had to say farewell to dad when Covid took him by surprise. Today, I do own that dream-car. A Porsche 911 4S and 718 GTS ... but I can't share it with dad anymore. Bittersweet. Love your (professional) channel. Thank you for taking the effort and create valuable content. "understanding car dream" was different, but from your hart. Thank you for sharing that emotion.

As much as it hurts, being the huge porsche fan that i am, the chances of me ever owning such an one of a kind dreamcar like the GT3 are pretty much next to none. However, through videos like this i can at least get a glimpse of what it would be like to open the door to my garage and look at an perfectly detailed GT3 that's just waiting for you to get in and start the engine so thanks for these videos and never change the way you do them. Great video. The car dream is is a great topic! What every car person works towards. This is why I'm watching these videos, it doesn't matter if your a huge 911 nerd or just have a love for any sports car. These types of cars have that wow factor. Never was a huge 911 fan, appreciated them, they always just looked blah. Then my best friend invited me on a ride/drive multi day car rally in his GT3RS......Ummm, this car does everything right. I'll say it again, everything! You truly have to drive one of these cars to appreciate them. Same with any great sports car. Go out and drive them, make those memories! It's worth the sacrifices to get to a point in your life to be able to open the door in your garage and realize that dream! Thanks Savagegeese for making these types of videos. Also, big thanks to my best buddy Steve!

When people say that the days of true automotive excellence are behind us clearly have been living under a rock because cars like the 992 GT3 are some of the best cars humans have ever made, and they’re continuing to improve. I have never been a huge Porsche fan but as of recently they have been knocking it out of the ball park with all of their new models, and the GT3 (RS) has quickly risen to being my favorite new car on sale today.
From goosebumps to tearing up to anger that this car isn't in my budget to being hopeful that maybe someday it just might.. This video pulled me in all sorts of emotional directions. Great job on conveying your experience with such a great automobile.
Awesome! And well said, as usual. On a video production related note, it’s crazy how much big, modern tracks in the middle of a field dull the sense of speed for viewers. This holds true all the way up to F1. There’s just little justice for the actual pace. Half speed on a hilly, twisty, and wooded backroad is more engaging. I even feel that way when I’m doing the driving. Would love to see you produce a video in a Best Motoring/touge setting.
What an absolut piece of art is this video !!! , I love this videos keep it up guys you are amazing. Videos like this inspire me even more to achive a dream car like this . thnks
I watch you guys to learn something new and I watch Throttle House to laugh. Excellent content. Now how to figure a way to go from a ZLE to this thing. More hard work
In complete honesty. After owning modern Porsches from the turbo engine range to the GT3. Including my GT3 Touring. None of them can provide the excitement & edginess of a classic air cooled car. It’s really only something that can be understood once you’ve been in & out of the classics. The longhood & g-body cars are pinnacle 911. As much as the GT3 is a marvelous weapon on track. It really doesn’t have the same fizz on the street as a classic. Take it from someone who waited years to get my GT3 Touring. It will be my last modern Porsche. Only classics for me going forward.
One beautiful thing about living in Las Vegas is I can drive virtually any car I want, including the new GT3 (and soon RS) on a track any time I want. It really is special, and an amazing experience. Great video.
It’s the rawness. I’ve always been a Porsche guy and even driving other cars such as Mclaren and LAMBO, I still always wanted to jump back into my car. Speed is one thing but the connectedness and feel of every input is what makes me love the GT3.
This was definitely one that tugs at your heart. Be it a Porsche or any vehicle that you have taken on a track and just feel that connection. Outstanding!!
What you said at the end there stuck out a lot to me. I've been subject to a disability almost my whole life (fortunately still ambulatory) and cars, ever since I've been a kid, and more specifically Porsches were always the dream to drive, but were more importantly an escape. They always reminded me of what was possible, of what could happen if you wanted something enough. Of how it would feel if all your human constraints and limits would be taken away and you could just chase a 9000 rpm redline again and again and again. Of how it would feel if we could escape our small existence and break all limits. So when I see cars like the GT Porsches, it serves as a reminder of what I want, of what I would want to achieve one day, and of what is possible. Thanks for making this film, to bring this sort of magical camera work and musical work to the masses for free is something that I'm sure everyone here is eternally grateful for. A great message that reminds us all of why we buy and love cars in the first place, something that a lot of people really miss out on and we wish they'd understand.
My godfather just let me autocross his 2022 718T cayman and it was something I'll cherish forever. What I felt has been encapsulated and expressed here in a way that is truly special. Cheers
Masters on display every single video. Cinematographers of the highest order with the most epic Car manufacturer with race pedigree for the streets. Bravo guys!
Capturing emotion and feel is so hard to do on video. But the passion for driving and engineering excellence comes through in every one of your videos. I love it, and please don't stop making these videos.
It’s like I’ve been in a dream for six straight weeks since picking up my first P-car a 2022 Cayman GTS. Coming from a humble background I never thought I would ever get to own one. But you said it best it makes me wanna work harder and trade up to the GT3!
I loved the subdued audio. I'm constantly riding the volume on everything I watch out of politeness to others around me and it's a pain in the ass in the age of extreme dynamics and youtubers with no concept of sound mixing. Thank you for not making me turn the volume up to hear you speaking and then blowing my speakers with sudden engine screaming, and for using softer music instead of the standard aggro stuff normally used in car videos. My volume finger and neighbors appreciate it.
Ok, I don't normally comment, but I have to make an exception for this one. I loved this video, not just because I am a lifelong Porsche guy, but because it wasn't a "review." This was just a message, a thought, a parable, an I don't know what, but it was great. Thank you.
I just finished racing my built, yellow 993 Carrera RS Club Sport with 500hp in Gran Turismo with a full cockpit setup and h pattern shifter and it’s so fun it blows my mind. I can’t imagine driving this GT3 on track in real life. It must be Nirvana.
I love that a video like this, which is a pure passion project of yours clearly, takes a moment to get away from the technical knowledge just for a little bit and goes straight for something we can all relate to. Passion is what brings all of us car people into this hobby as you so elegantly highlighted. Thank you so much for such a touching video my man. I really hope you are able to own one of these GT3s!
I never liked Porsches until I heard and drove the GT3 RS. What got me hooked was high revving (9k rpm) and amazing sound of the engine and second the handling. Never be a brand fan, be a product fan. No matter what brand it is, look at their product. And a GT3 and previous Gen GT3 RS are on the top of a car enthusiasts list.

You did it. I had honestly yet to warm-up to this particular car for some reason or another, and this video at the ~8min mark did it for me. I’m that guy in his 40s with a newer Civic, settling for practicality and enough quality to feel vindicated throughout its ownership. But my first car as a teen was a RWD manual ‘87 200SX.
More hard work
Ten mins have never felt so good. Visual poetry to perfection. Thank you for this and may God bless your father.
Try Alpine 110.
One beautiful thing about living in Las Vegas is I can drive virtually any car I want, including the new GT3 (and soon RS) on a track any time I want. It really is special, and an amazing experience. Great video.
Ok, I must put 'driving a GT3' on my bucket list. Beautiful video and commentary spot-on as always.
If you live or visit LA or Atlanta you could do the experience center and drive a GT3 for a certain amount of $$$
Xtreme Xperience. They have a GT3RS you can drive. The amount of grip on that car is intoxicating.
@@sabalza123. I still can’t believe how much grip my 2022 Cayman GTS has. It is also very intoxicating!
jesus that lap without any talking and letting us here just the engine was incredible
Hey Mark, saw the dedication at the end of the video. Hope you're doing ok.
Still the best car channel on UA-cam. Thanks boys.
One day I will own that car!
you will!
It’s the rawness. I’ve always been a Porsche guy and even driving other cars such as Mclaren and LAMBO, I still always wanted to jump back into my car. Speed is one thing but the connectedness and feel of every input is what makes me love the GT3.
Where’s turbowski nowadays?
I miss that cranky bastard
Yeah, i have the same question! Turbowski is a cool guy!
@The Lone Ninja 82 hahahahahahaha mb
He’s attempting to drive around the world in a Chevy HHR. Could be years before we see him again.
Didn't he pass away in 2020 after he transitioned to becoming an Opera singer and instructor in Chicago
This is a masterpiece. You guys rock. Mark's intro around trying to capture what's special was on point.
Definitely not daydreaming about owning an automatic Porsche.
aUtOmAtiC bAd
you can spec then in manual 😭😭
You are not only fabulous car enthusiasts. You are great filmmakers. Thank you.
So well articulated. That is the dream. To find a car that makes you start figuring out what you have to do to get it.
Bravo guys!
Amen bro.. amen! 🙏🏼
*Top notch as always again.. 👌🏼
Hallelujah.... Preach Brother!!! Fantastic job on the editing. That was an epic video.
The message at the end really summed it up. The Porsche GT cars have really become the cars to keep me motivated to work hard
Absolutely brilliant. The passion, the sounds, the heritage. It's the true pinnacle of the automotive world.
So many parallels to my personal life, interests and motivation, relationship with my dad (also passed away recently). I've never identified myself so much with any other episode. Brings a tear into my eye. Thanks for sharing this Mark.
This channel's videos have transcended past just reviews to become timeless storytelling. A truly well deserved bravo.
some UA-camrs are some of the most unrelatable people in these spaces. But you guys made me feel what you felt while driving this amazing masterpiece of engineering. Thank you guys , really thank you. i like the videos but i love you guys.
What a love letter.
Thank you for sharing your love of cars and film with us. We are lucky to have you.
Can't wait to watch with headphones again later tonight.
Your camera work, lighting, music selection and editing are so next level compared to all of the other automotive UA-cam content creators. Thank you for all of the hours of hard work you put in to create the quality content we enjoy. Seriously. Well done. All of the hours your dad spent sharing his love of film with you was not wasted. I’m sure he’s very proud of the work you do.
This isn’t just another throwaway “this issssss…” Doug car video. This is a true film in every sense of the word. Thank you for doing what you do.
The best of the best. It's impossible for any sports auto maker to come close to the iconic Porsche 911 of any era to date.
Kudos to Stuttgart for giving birth to such an engineering marvel. I hope we could still save the manuals.
Great and thorough review as usual.
There are some videos that just touch the heart. This video is exactly that one. I enjoyed the pure acceleration in silence and I wished it never ended.
As always, I look forward to your videos because you guys are the GOAT. Bless your heart and Love to your dad!
Thanks for an amazing video!
I could listen to this car all day on loop, it sounds amazing.
It is not a car for me, probably never will be, but I love something like this exists.
7:07 - 8:55 just close your eyes and breath in deep. Pure perfection.
I was wet-weather drifting before drifting was a common term. I was beyond lucky, and have longed for that feeling some 25 years since.
Thanks for bringing that back.
The GT3 is, beyond any doubt, the greatest car I've ever been in. An all time classic in every way, and one that will be remembered as such.
You know the cinematography is good when they make even Joliet, IL look scenic
Always a highlight of my day when your guys drop a new video. As a car enthusiast this car will always unobtainable but appreciate the spirit and level of detail. Thanks for providing a glimpse of what one of the best cars ever made is like 👍
