The whole castle raid was way better in the novels. Kazuma rubbing his back on Chris chest (which lead to them getting discovered) was really stupid. In the novel, Kazuma and Chris succesfully infiltrate the castle, they get discovered afterwards. Kazuma and Chris entered a treasure room. Before going for the necklace, Chris wanted to find the other divine item (remember it was two items that Chris was looking for, and she thought the other one could be there). Once inside the treasure room, Kazuma notices a hentai magazine. He grabs it... and that triggers the alarm. During the fight, Kazuma uses the skill 'Bind' a lot against the guards (the ropes made by 'Bind' are not just regular ropes, they are magical ropes which are more durable. They are strong enough to restrain monsters). Once the guards are tied up, he uses 'Drain Touch' on them. In the light novel it’s clarified, the mask vanir gave kazuma was a gift. It was a prototype for something he was gonna sell in his store. The mask was supposed to put you at “the top of your game” for a few hours. Hence, kazuma went super instinct and was acting like vanir. The way Kazuma was out here sweeping his enemies was so cool, felt like Claire was getting her just desserts all it needed was the freeze for the cherry on top for her loss
kazuma actually popped off even harder in the novels. he did a fucking 360 noscope with snipe on Rain's staff when she was about to cast a spell on him, and to beat mitsurugi, he instead used freeze on mitsurugi's sword sheath so he couldn't draw it, then filled his mouth with water and froze it before he could react.
@12:16 what catfights look like to guys who have actually been in more than one fight. I mean up tll they go for grabbing eachother's hair... then its just a bunch of yanking eachother around.
The Vanir mask was the reason Kazuma popped off like that. Remember when Vanir told him to wear it on a full moon to get increased stats and durability? Besides if you notice his speech you'll realize thst after he refuses to escape and the full moon shines on him, he starts speaking like Vanir which enables him to tko Claire. While fighting Mitsubishi he also says "Oh, so these are negative emotions" like he's feeding off of the negative emotions in the way demons do.
Kazuma is actually very OP for a normal adventurer standards, and well above average for reincarnated standards. If he did not have aqua and the girls weighing him down, he would take the demon lord down in about a month (Said by Konosuba's author himself).
The only thing that holds Kazuma down is that he is a bit lazy and cowardly. in addition to having to carry the girls 95% of the time. In the novels it is confirmed that despite being problematic, Kazuma is one of the most skilled and recognized adventurers in the city
someone probably already said this, but Kazuma is going wild because of the mask he got from Vanir and the boost you get when wearing it during a full moon.
I think it was the mask that he got that made him in top condition as I remember he was told that under the moon light it gives powers or something, I think that's why they gave that shot of the full moon when he was starting to go serious
The Vanir mask improved Kazuma's performance, and it was implied Vanir gave it to him because he saw the future and predicted Kazuma would need it during the castle raid
It's for reasons because they will ACTUALLY EXECUTE HIM for having that ability because it's Lich only spell. It basically marks him as working with the Demon King.

Roshi, Sheera & Lupa needs to know how much more efficient, capable and even hardcore Kazuma is in this event from the manga. 1 - Kazuma didn't use drain touch on Claire, he pretended to surrender and then when RANDOM guard (just a background character) touched his hands, he used it. 2 - He didn't use water+ice at guards group in manga, instead he used earth + wind to blind them with dust. 3 - He didn't use water + ice to make Mitsurugi slip, instead he used ice to freeze the sword from its sheath, and then used water+ice while covering his nose and mouth so Mitsurugi can't breathe. Rain didn't use heal on him, she used fire spell to melt the ice. 4 - For some reason they cut out moment where Kazuma did use snipe skill while doing a 360° jump to completely destroy crystal on rain's magic staff when she was casting lightning. Both Claire and Rain were very impressed. 5 - During the scene where Claire was talking bad things about Kazuma after the robbery, she confessed that she would actually date the thief if he was on good side, that's why Kazuma wanted to reveal his identity. 6 - Kazuma didn't fail to use stealth. He and Chris successfully avoided those first guards. (in the anime, it seems like Kazuma is in heat for no good reason which is not the case in the manga). But first they went for vault (skipped in the anime), not princess room. At vault they didn't find any relics... But Kazuma found an adult manga (likely from Japan)... steal it and triggered the alarm. I took all these points from @kitayskiykabachek8244 's comment on another reaction video as he/she read the LN & manga and I thought everyone should know how impressive Kazuma is.
Tbf from the sounds of it the anime fight sounds better because from what I heard in the LN he uses bind on the guards then drain touch where as in this they make him look like he’s actually fighting

I think it was the mask that he got that made him in top condition as I remember he was told that under the moon light it gives powers or something, I think that's why they gave that shot of the full moon when he was starting to go serious
I loved seeing Kazuma actually kick ass
Kazuma in Top Condition is unstoppable.
He's just wearing her spare ninja outfit lol! Crop top with mid veil.
kazuma popping off had the same energy as iruma on his rebellious state
Bro took notes trying to be like Cid Kagenou 😭😭
I wonder how strong exterion ability Iris mentioning
the facts Chris acknowledge how good kazuma is and take him seriously is respectful..
The Vanir mask improved Kazuma's performance, and it was implied Vanir gave it to him because he saw the future and predicted Kazuma would need it during the castle raid
I never knew the two sisters were actually that quick witted xD
i love how cocky and confident the mask made him
Kazuma turned in Baloo from Jungle book scratching his back on a palm tree singing Bear Necessities
It's for reasons because they will ACTUALLY EXECUTE HIM for having that ability because it's Lich only spell. It basically marks him as working with the Demon King.

Kazuma really just soloed everyone in that castle. The goat fr
A little vanir mask boost got kazume this much of a menace, imagine him with a competent team back him off
....Shadow Garden, watch out!
The Masked Thief Brigade will bring the power of Chuuni Justice to this Wonderful World!!
Kaz got skills when not carrying his party, y'know.
Kazuma actually looked like Shadow for a moment there lmao
Also next up is the Ten Million Bride arc, pretty good.
Kazuma locked in because of the Vanir Mask, notice how his personality became a lot like Vanir during the fight
14:32 that's hilariously ironic coming from yall considering the previous episode
Mitsurugi pulled up like Reinhard van Astrea LMAO
9:55 I would just melt that ring and sell it for scraps honestly. I don't want any complicated and unnecessary side quest.
bro why does that Fallout picture look so cursed. 3:30
Worlds, finest assassin
It was the mask. There was a spot were Kasuma was talking about negative emotions. It was like when Darkness wore Vanir's real mask.
14:04 he probably shines best when his party aint fucking things up.
Lupa's laugh initiated Kazuma's laugh XD
Kazuma was a whole ass phantom fief this episode
Kazuma really turned into John Smith for an episode
IIRC, its the mask that makes him pop off. Vanir said the mask makes him stronger :)
Imagine being a famously powerful swordmaster and getting destroyed by a normal person using BASIC MAGIC.
It was the mask under the moon causing his magic to increase
Kazuma needs to go solo, that party is the only thing holding him back.....on second thought maybe not cuz bro might just become a menace
Let him become a menace lol
I just realized that Chris is probably Eris in disguise.
Kazuma's goated fr
Bro really locked in this episode
I think the Vanir mask with the full moon had an influence on Kazuma.
@@infamouse9263 yeah, I don't have problem with the anime, only highlighting what happened in the manga & LN as it is a bit different. (I also don't read the LN and only read a portion of the manga)
i hope we get to see kazuma's popular phrase again !
In this episode we learn Kazuma is specced for PVP in a world where everyone only values PVE.
That mask Vanir gave him has its uses.
The reason why kazuma popped off this episode is because his luck stat was finally able to be used and not hindered by three people with terrible luck ( aqua, darkness, megumi) Also, Chris has a higher Luck than even kazuma (I wonder why wink wink) so, her luck stat just buffed his luck stat.
One of my most favorite episodes do far in this season 💥💯🔥
yo kazuma actually beat the shit out of every one 🤣🤣🤣
14:30 oh the irony
Why is nobody telling you guys that the reason Kazuma poped off is partially because of the Maks Vanir gave him, Vanir even said that it works at night and improves pretty much everything.. Kazuma even started talking the same way Vanir does
Ofcourse Kauma popped off, he didnt have 3 knuckleheads dragging him down, and instead had an actual useful teammate 😭😭
