Very pretty, Christine. Simple, classic, versatile. You've got my mind spinning with other ways to use this technique... Valentine's with a heart? Birthday with a cake? Congrats with a firework or popper or stars? Woohoo! This design is a winner. Thanks so much! Happy 2024! - Cheryl in AZ
What a lovely card....It’s just a joy to watch the whole process when you are creating in your craft room. Much better than watching edited and fast forward videos. I also use gilding flakes and like you, I do it on card before cutting out with the dies. However I just can’t throw the waste away before using as much of it as I can, because it is so beautiful. I have a tiny circle punch that I use for making holes in tags. I use that to cut lots of circles out and then use the ball tool to give them a bit of dimension. I put them in a little bag with my gems and use them as embellishments. Happy healthy 2024 to you, your family and the rest of your subscribers. 🦋xxx
I LOVE gilding flakes. Time for me to bring them out again only this time I'll upscale them with an embossed background as taught by my teacher Christine Stokes! Thank you.
That really shines out using the beautiful gilding flakes Chrissie, and the embossing makes a so so pretty background. I had forgotten this was called the 'eclipse' technique. I think your son's mother-in-law will love this. x
Oh Christine, someone else who "doesnt understand" all this technology. You did make me smile. We weren't brought up in that era! Happy New Year to you and, thanks in advance for all your videos in 2024.
Hi Christine. That video took me back to the 2022 advent calendar videos. I was shouting about the 'between the letter' bits and laughing at the wandering pine bough. Why you never listen when I tell you "it's there" I will never know 😂. Fabulous result as always though. Thank you for sharing your talents with us mere mortals.
That is just beautiful. I had to laugh when you lost the little bit of greenery. I did that very thing today. Looking all over and said “I just had it. How could I have lost it?” Oh my, hahaha.
Morning Christine and all Happy New Year🎉 again I had been unsubscribed, not sure what is going on but will definitely keep checking how bizzare,, thanks for keep going we all love your videos and ideas❤ Julie H x x
Hi Chris, welcome back to 2024! Hope your well, again a lovely card as usual , thanks for using gilding flakes they are just beautiful, many thanks for great demo 😁
Loved your card❤. Thank you for telling us about the bamboo tweezers! I ordered them and it’s been a game changer! I concur regarding the glue and letting it dry for a bit. From experience I’ve made a mess with it before understanding how important that step was 😂😂 Again, thanks ever so much for your time, your talent and your tips. Blessings, Nancy Rolfe
Dazzling!!! ♥️it Ms. Chrissie!!! I saw someone use some press & seal as a hack to keep all the little bits of the die cuts together & thought I’d share that with you. I also just checked that I’m still subscribed to your channel. As always, Thanks for sharing!!!
Happiest of New Years to You and Phil. Beautiful thank you card and the colours of those gilding flakes are truly gorgeous aren't they. Thank you Christine and have a wonderful day x
Hi Christine, I have learnt so much from you over the last year and thank you for your tutorials. I found from watching other tutorials that heating the low tack tape with the heat gun helps to remove it. Thanks again!
You are so right about the heat gun, I have used that tip in other videos but for some reason the old brain didn't think to use it. Thanks so much for the reminder!🤔🤣😊
The unsubscribing thing is so weird. Thankfully I'm still subscribed and haven't experienced that issue with any of my subscriptions. What a beautiful thank you card Chrissie! I love the colors you got from those gilding flakes, so gorgeous. Happy New Year! Hugs, Brenda
Happy New Year Christine. Beautiful card. I think craft takes longer than we think it will as we develop the project as we go. As long as you have the time to show us, we have the time to watch.
I have just spent my second year with you and your journey with the Gummiapan calendars. You have amazed me with the ingenuity of how the dies have 'spoken' to you to create the cards made. May I wish you and yours a happy and healthy new year. 🎉🎉🎉
So glad you spotted the bits from the gap in the letters - I was shouting at the screen to you!! LOL - and I know you can't hear me! Love the card Christine - so elegant again- Love how much detail you put into them - am still subscribed but will keep checking.
Really really great card. My husband was watching and said it’s so tricky making cards no wonder you take so long (harumph). Love those gilding flakes, the colours, so versatile.
What a lovely card. You've inspired me to do gilding flakes, eclipse technique and embossing for my daughter's birthday card. Never thought to use the embossing folder along with eclipse. Leave it to you to add that extra bit of texture to a card. Thank you!
All that fiddling about was well worth it. Such a beautiful card. I have a very similar pot of gilding flakes from IndigoBlu (Yorkshire Dales) and some others from Cosmic Shimmer. I'm going to try the glue method because double sided tape seemed to remain sticky even after I use anti-static on it. I love all things shiny. Wonderful to see a video up today. I think I have an addiction!
Happy New Year 🎉 Very pleased to see you back again, with a lovely card. I think I would have left the low tack tape on, and put some glue on the back of the first layer. Just a thought from me 😉
Very beautiful card! I did enjoy your expression of delight at how the gilding turned out! It really is beautiful. I have some gilding flakes, but I don’t have any of the ones with combined colors. I think I’ll have to look for some💕
A beautiful card, as always. I love gilding flakes, but I haven’t used them for a while. I tend to forget about things I have, which is ridiculous, really! I have notifications turned on for your videos, I don’t know if that helps to show UA-cam I’m not a spam account…
Happy New Year from So. California! Wonderful card. This one I think I can handle with the gilding flakes, so I will give it a try. As always I so appreciate your cards and channel!
Thank you Christine, beautiful card!!! I have started using gilding flakes more, influenced by your wonderful videos, but I have mostly single colors. I think I am going to get a small container and mix a few up. I tried putting a little of each but it was just blotchy, not what I wanted at all. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day!!!
@@Chrissieannie Yes, it does. I have done it that way, even bought hairspray for that purpose. I have pink, purple and blue flakes that I want to mix together.
Hi Christine, this is such a pretty card. I don’t know where you get the patience to pick out all the little bits from the letters is beyond me. i would chucked the whole thing in the trash. But the finished card is beautiful. Thanks nd Happy New Year
Such a beautiful card Christine. I hope the recipients realise how much effort went into making it. Watching you putting tiny bits back into the words makes me think you must be very good at jigsaws.😀 Thank you for so many lovely tutorials over the past year and look forward to seeing many more. Happy New Year.
Oh that was beautiful Christine. Could you not have just glued the words in onto the low tack tape. I was a bit puzzled there anyway I’m sure you knew what you were doing. I would have took the easier route lol
Happy New Year Chrissie and thank you for daily videos. This card is gorgeous. Though I've been crafting for donkeys years you always come up with something I haven't thought of. I like the wooden tweezers. I've some wooden chopsticks from a noodle bar. I'll give those a try with the guilding flakes. Thank You. Hazel. (Heathfield, East Sussex)
What if you left the low tack tape on then added a liquid glue on top? Also when taking the low tack tape off if you apply a little warmth it would come off easier. Great card.
That card was gorgeous, love the gold flaking, and the dimension of the letters. I also have a question. Some time ago you talked about the Sissix precision plate, but I can’t remember why you used it. Hope you can enlighten me!
The precision plate was developed especially for intricate dies. If parts of a die-cut are not cut right through with a normal set of plates, the Precision plate is often the answer to cutting all the fiddly bits out accurately.
Am i being a bit silly. Why did you go through all the effort with sticking those little bits in and not just emboss the panel first and then put the thank you on? Whoops! Just heatd you explain why. Sorry x
Gilding flakes really made this card elegant ❣️🇺🇸
Thank you😊😊😊
I actually love it when you lose something because it makes me feel like I'm not such a doofus! 🤪
🤣🤣🤣 it happens to us all❤️❤️❤️
