Another press and seal suggestion: rather than putting the letters on the press and seal in reverse order, place the letters on the grid in the correct order then place the press and seal on top and lift. You can then turn over to apply adhesive. You can also do this when placing a lot of flowers or embellishments.
What great tips. I always have trouble aligning letters that aren’t attached. I love the embossed idea, I never would have thought to do that. Thanks Christine
This was very helpful with multiple ways of doing the letters. Now I have to figure out the centering so I don't have to put a flower or a butterfly at the end or maybe I can just offset it. Thank you for the helpful information and and enjoy your day.
I have had word dies like these for a couple of years. I have never used them because I did not know how to line the letters up. It was easier for me to glue the embossed part than add the letter on top. Thanks again for another helpful video! I would also suggest that before you list the products used (for the video) that you have a sentence saying something like: If you have not LIKED the video or SUBSCRIBED yet please do now before you forget! Congratulation on 18K
Thanks so much for this video!!! It looks so easy with the big letters now I will attempt the one I was having trouble with....Happy Valentine's Day in really small letters that have sticky backs that won't cut all the way through to the back. My letters are cut but not right through so they are not separate, each one has to be pulled out of the word but it is sticky. I just wish I had noticed the die was going to cut all separate letters. That was really special of you to do that video! Thanks again!
Christine-something is going on with UA-cam. I had to re-subscribe to your channel again today. It also happened with Lou Collins channel. There was also a line under today’s video showing that I had already watched it when I hadn’t. I don’t know what is going on. Your channel shows up in my list of subscriptions so it’s easy for me to check. I’ve learned so much from you, you can be sure I’ll keep watching. Thank you so much for all you share!😊
Brilliant tips Thanks. Just a thought on the point of subscribers loosing their subscription......if some one watches but does not interact I.e thumbs up or comment it might be why you tube eventually deletes the subscription I don't know for sure. I always try to like a video if I watch it. My way of thinking its a way of saying thanks for the effort that has been put in for the making of it and I've never had a problem loosing a subscription. 😊Hope this helps anyone who is having problems 😊
Thank you for this instructing video! As you feel like, give us some tips to align the different layers of a card. Thanks in advance! I started watching your advent calendar of 2022. I did not know you at the time and its lovely to learn from you. About YTB , i can tell you that they play very filthy in many ways, from deleting subscribers to ban videos in a brutal censure never seen before. Lots of love
Oh Christine, please do a video for the background with spray starch/brusho/? when you used the Press'n Seal. I would like to know how to do. Thanks again for your tireless efforts. I wish you a happy, healthy and successful start to 2024
Oooh now you try doing this with an alphabet and numbers set in a third the size and italic to boot - love my die and do not regret purchasing it as I knew what I waa in for. Great tips Christine.
Bonjour Christine, As I already said to Deb Hallett , your channel and his were my scrap revelation of last year. I love your work. There is no "chichi", in other words, there is nothing too much, everything is very elegant. You introduced me to the gummiapan brand. I really like what you do with these mini dies. I hope I can order some. Only, in France, I couldn't find a distributor. I wonder where I could order some: directly from Sweden or from you in Great Britain ? All my best wishes for 2024 and continue to delight us with your creations. Je vous embrasse Sylvie
You can order either from Sweden or the UK both ship worldwide. I'm delighted that you enjoy Deb's and my cards. She is a wonderful card maker and has become a good friend through our shared love of crafting. Thanks for your lovely comments! ❤️
I particularly like the letterpress-like look method #1 gives. Letters with descenders (like"g") give me trouble. I'd be interested to see the "spray starch" technique technique as well.
If you are aligning the bottom cutting line of the central part of the dies along a grid line, you would simply not bother looking at the descender of a g or a y, but merely align the middle section of the letter. (If that makes sense)😄
Great tips Chrissie! I have used all but one in the course of my crafty years and that is the one where you embossed the letters into the cardstock. I've never done that one and now I'm wanting to give that one a try. You are on my subscription list and when I come to your channel, it says I am subscribed thankfully. UA-cam must be having glitches or something. Hugs, Brenda
@@ChrissieannieI KNOW I'm a subscriber, but I wouldn't have thought to keep checking - only I heard your comments at the tail end of your video, so checked - and was unsubscribed - and this isn't the first time this has happened. Shenanigans! ,! ! 😡
Fab tips! I’ve got some press and seal somewhere. I’ll have to give that a go. With number two, instead of drawing with pencil, could you just put glue on the back of the die-cut letters, put them back in their holes, press them down and then lift off the negative?
Yes! I’ve done that , and it works well, although you have to be careful not to apply too much glue because it can squeeze out and accidentally glue down the negative space piece.
Weird the unsubscribed business. Mine is ok but I have had that before and it took several different times of subscribing again for it to stay. Great tips, I have used most but you forget. Well I do anyway. 😅
Tbh with alphabet loose letters I’ve never had much success with your suggestion of using postit notes. Instead I deliberately make them crooked. But each to their own.
Another press and seal suggestion: rather than putting the letters on the press and seal in reverse order, place the letters on the grid in the correct order then place the press and seal on top and lift. You can then turn over to apply adhesive. You can also do this when placing a lot of flowers or embellishments.
I think we each do whatever works for us personally!😊 That's great!
