- A review of the Soya Joy G4. This is a great milk maker. If you are in the market for a plant-base milk maker, I think you'll really like this one. Here I make almond milk in the Soyajoy G4 and give a review.

I just got one and learning , thank you for your video
Great review video! Super informative and you guys are so friendly, it's like you're everyone's grandparents ☺️
Great Video! Spitting image of my Mom and Dad, the kitchen looks the same, even the "calling me a nut bag" crack . HILARIOUS.
Hi Jill ~ Today I figured out how to make oatmeal porridge: 2 Sanlinx cups Bob's Quick Oats, 1/2 tsp sea salt, 2 Medjool dates & water just to the first line (not between the lines). Porridge setting, but STOP (unplug) machine after 15 min ~ that way, it is thick & creamy, not totally pulverized, & not stuck much to the bottom. I added a little honey & coconut sugar when done. Delicious! : )
Jill you are excellent at product reviews !!! I want to buy everything you review ! This thing looks awesome!! Gotta look it up on Amazon now! Lol! 😊👍😊
Love this video. You convinced me that I need to buy this lol
Hope you enjoy it!
lovely couple and great review :)
Awesome video !!!
Great review. Thank you so much!
Thanks for the tutorial on making Almond Milk. I just got the Soyajoy G4 for Christmas, and wanted to try it out.
You'll love the Soyajoy once you get your recipes the way you want them. I have tweeked some of them, especially the soymilk one. Added a few more soybeans than called for and it made a nice rich milk. I also have added a tablespoon of raw oats and that really thicken it up as well.
Thanks Jill.... I'll be buying the G4/G5 this week ..PS I love the fact you guys are plant based . Thumbs up
Great thorough review! :)
Humm, I don't think mine had a strainer. I never used a strainer so I'm sure what to say about that. But thanks for info
I own the older version of this and it works very well but mine is terrible to clean. I may have to upgrade seeing your video. Currently I use a vitamix which works fine for almond milk but does not do well with soy milk.
Okay, you really got me thinking about this new Soyajoy. I have the old one but it was such a pain to clean. I just ordered this one on Amazon. I can had stopped making soy milk and have been just purchasing it. I like the idea of making my own. I like to avoid sugar, salt and oil so I can make it plain. I don't add agave due to it being fructose and I don't think it is healthy at all (sad because it does taste good).
I really like this! I think it would be worth the investment. I made some almond milk lately and love it! Thanks guys for this great review!
+Vegas Fruity It is a great appliance to have. I love mine and am so glad I made the plunge.
Very good video
Thank you! We really like the pot -- it makes very good milk and what a bargain over the store-bought.
That was so much easier than I thought it was going to be! Thanks so much for sharing. I just added one to my Amazon wish list, maybe I can sweet talk Doug into getting me one, lol.
+Vegan Dog Lady What I like is that I can make any type of milk I want: soy, rice, cashew, grain (like oat, etc.), hemp and more! It's worth the upfront cost because I will make it up very quickly and then have the machine forever!
You two are amazing :)
Thanks for great review. Ordered mine today, cannot wait. FYI: 1.7 liters to 7.18548 cups
Thanks for the conversion. Really appreciate it. And thanks for watching -- glad you liked the review!
I have the older soyajoy g4. It doesn't have all those nicer features. I think it's the first soyajoy g4. I've made almond milk, rice milk, and coconut milk. I have yet to make soymilk with it. I don't have any stores that sell soy beans. But recently bought cashews. So I'll try that. Coconut milk is ok. But I don't like it as much as the almonds.
Not sure what im doing wrong, but ive tried dozens of nut bags and strainers, and no matter what ive tried, the okara plugs the mesh or bags instantly. Im lucky to get a few cups of milk from a batch, and the okara is usually the consistency of porridge.
I'm not sure either about the problems you ate having. I'm wondering if the temperature is too hot in the soyajoy. Also, I did get a more open mesh nut bag which has helped a lot.
Never heard of this thing! I want one!!!!!!
Wonderful!
Thank you :)
Almost 2 litres of milk out of this machine?! Wow, that's so good!
Thank you very informative.
Dad-Gum-It...Now I have to go get me one. Good video. Thanks.
Thanks for reviewing this. I had this on my wish list on Amazon for awhile but just didn't know if it would work. I've made almond milk in my Vitamix before but this looks super easy. Linda Hardesty
Great review 👌🏼👌🏼
Great video !
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
I've been making Almond Milk for many, many years and it is so superior to store bought that it's like two different milks; one mediocre and one super delicious. I never need to add any sweetener as it's delicious plain. I use my Vitamix and nut milk bag. This SoyaJoy looks like you might not have to strain it as hard. Is that true? Thanks for the video.
You guys are adorable ❤
Thanks for the nice compliment and thanks for watching.
Great review! I've wanted to make my own nut milks. Does this heat up?
+The Plant Eaters On the nut meats it does not. Soy beans it does. I made rice milk and it did heat up. I've not tried any other grains yet.
Thanks for sharing ye review , also I have another question can I make oat milk with this machine , thanks in advance
Yes you can. I've done it before. You'll be able to strain out the oatmeal from the milk using the milk bag
It's now on my Amazon list. It will be in my life one day :D
+Scarlett Gone Raw This a great tool! I can make soy milk, any type of nut milk I want, hemp milk, grain/rice milks, etc. And I will make up the cost of the machine in really a short time! Gotta love it.
+CHEF MAMA ROSA (Vegan) We gotta get this, sis!! And, yes, both ladies are beautiful jewels to the heart💕
I'm suppose to send you something today, but I have just discovered this morning I need to postpone it til next week, I will email you and tell why (vendor issue again, oh goodness me). I saw your email on your channel page, using that one.
+Jill 4 Today It's an incredible find! I read the reviews on Amazon, I can't believe I never knew this thing existed! Thanks for the great share, Jill! So exciting!! Hugs, darlin'!!

It comes with a strainer. Why don’t you use that instead of the milk bag?
Some machines come with an internal filter. I'm disappointed that this machine does not. Have you tried making soy milk in it? I don't want it to make nut milk.
You're right, there's no filter built in. And, yes, it does make soy milk, thus the name "Soya Joy."
Hi Jill, just got a soyajoy and saw this vlog. My question is, where did you get your milk bag? What is it called & by whom? The two milk bags i have are more of a fine net, than a solid'ish cloth. Thanks!
Hi! Thanks for watching. I purchased what is called a "nut bag" which is used for making nut milk. I believe I purchased them on Amazon. Hope that helps
Nice video! Thanks Jill. However, wouldn't it come to the same thing if I put the soaked almonds in my high speed blender and then use a strainer bag to separate the pulp? I can't see the difference.
Hi Julie -- yes, I believe that would work as well. While we do make almond milk in the Soya Joy, we had initially purchased it to make soy milk. It works really well for this sort of milk. Thanks so much for writing!
The difference comes when it’s time to make soy milk, which has to be actually cooked. This thing is way easier than blending and cooking and skimming soy milk by hand.
Thanks for the video. This looks like a great product, but wouldn't a Vitamix or other high powered blender do the same thing? Or is there something else this does, other than grind up the nuts and water, that I am overlooking?
+RainyDaizy Hi. Thanks for watching! Actually, you are right when it comes to almond milk. You can make almond milk quite successfully in a high-speed blender. When you want to get into soy milk or rice milk or other grain/cereal type milks, this is going to be a great tool to use. We made rice milk in ours and it was a cinch! Back in the olden days I made all my own milks (this was before plant-based milks were available to purchase in stores). It was quite a hassle but I did it. This is amazing to see how many steps I can get around and still make great milks. I hope this helped??
+Jill 4 Today Yes, thanks for replying. I checked out the amazon link you provided as well and now see that to make soy and rice milk there is some cooking that is required and that is where this product really shines. Thanks again.
I just bought mine, waiting for Amazon to deliver it. Have you made soy or nut yogurt? How are you doing? Last video, you were not sure you would continue making videos. I hope you are doing well. 💕❤💕
Hi Sue -- I'm still doing videos. Not sure how many I'll do each week. We'll be doing some travelling and I hope to be able to work up some travel vlogs as we get around. I do use my pot for almond milk and soy milk. I don't care for yogurts made from soy/nut so I've not made any of those. I'm feeling well -- thanks for asking!
Hello, there is a new SoyaJoy G5 soy milk maker replacing the SoyaJoy G4! It is similar but with a few improvements. Search SoyaJoy G5 on youtube to see videos some people already posted.
So it’s just a blender. Just soak almonds use your own blender and buy a nut milk lo bag for 3$ to separate the pulp. I’ll keep my vitamix 8 seconds
The difference comes when it’s time to make soy milk, which has to be actually cooked. This thing is way easier than blending and cooking and skimming soy milk by hand.
Why would this be better than just blending almonds in vitamin and straining?
I'm not sure. If you like using your blender then that's a great option for you. Thanks for writing.

I lost my little cup did she say it was a 1/2 cup
I used 3/4 cup
Hi Jill! You are the second person that I have heard talking about that product. Mike Adams wrote an article about it in February, 2015. I almost bought one then decided that I really don't drink that much nut milk to justify the purchase. I have heard people say that once you make your own almond milk, you will never buy the packaged one again. Apparently, the taste of the homemade is far superior to the store options. Thanks for doing that review. It looks as though the item would be easy to clean and that gets high marks from me. Here's a link to Mike's article. www.naturalnews.com/048690_almond_milk_fresh_nut_milks_SoyaPower_G4.html
+Joan L It is true! I will never go back to carton milk again. Plus, while we've not purchased soy milk on a regular basis, the soy milk that comes out of the Soyajoy is amazing! I think a lot has to do with the freshness of it as well. It just says superior! We are totally sold converts.

What?? I want one !
+Laineyslife This a great tool! I can make soy milk, any type of nut milk I want, hemp milk, grain/rice milks, etc
my machine is not working
oh my.....too bad. You should contact the manufacturer to get some assistance. Sorry to hear you are having problems with it.
If u live in India....u have to buy a step down voltage converter. Otherwise the equipment will burn down hence doesn’t work
:")
