I remember voting faithfully for Colton while he was on American Idol. He came in third place, I believe. I was disappointed, but when he fell to his knees during his farewell song and gave glory to God, I knew he'd be ok. God has this young man in His hands, definitely.

I relate very well to this song. raised in church of Christ I was brought up to beleave were doomed to he'll if we fail. after picking my bible up in prison at age 37 I learned that that's the sole purpose Christ came and died for us so we wouldn't have to. he took our place and every time I here this song and read the lyrics I tears up. our God is awesome and full of grace so thank you Colton or putting into words the things I feel for our father

In my opinion this is Colton Dixon's greatest work. If every song regarding the Christian faith was this honest I no doubt see that many people would turn to Christ.
I like how he relates to everyone with talking about scars. Like how we've all had pains and problems. We've all felt a little broken sometimes and others feel downright defective and destructive, like nothing could ever go right. But then there's that little uplifting moment.
And then goes to God, like how his scars remind us who we are. His scars emotional and physical ones he has gotten from being nailed to the cross. They remind us that we're forgiven of mistakes and sins because all our sins went on him that day. He has the scars. Beautiful song.

He is so inspirational. Colton is so beautiful, everything about him. He said at a concert that he lets god live through him to be a messesnger through his music. So inspiational. He said that the inspiration for this was the scars that Jesus has had forever, the scars for us.

I did the same. I have a disability called Spina Bifida and I used to look at it like it was a horrible thing God did to me but this song reminds me that God did this for a reason and I shouldn't be ashamed of it.

This song is so heavily anointed, Colton! Honestly! Hubby was playing the CD & this song came on and I had to stop talking and ask what it was! I volunteered as an intercessor for The 99 (look it up) and this should be their theme song, honestly! We all have a destiny and it is up to you if you want to go to heaven or hell but I think if you listen to his songs you will feel The Lord and you have to trust him and you will have troubles but if you believe in him when you finally die or he comes back you will get to see greatness and be thankful you got the chance to follow God and go to heaven

Our faith is special, because it persisted over history and to this day still gives people faith, a reason to live, which is to be the symbol of love through Christ to humanity. Also, there are things in the bible that relate to our modern problems like depression, self harm, eating disorders. The reason why most pagan cults like greek mythos, roman and norse is because if you trace back the roots of the religion, it was made by us humans, our faith was created by God and shown through Jesus.

He sang this at the Miracle tour and I got teary eyed. I have a disorder called tourettes I look at my tourettes as a bad thing as a scar but it does not have to be a bad thing, scares can be a reminder of how strong I am and that being different is ok. I realize Colton did not write this song like that but that is how God touched me through it.
