The fact that he kept threatening him with jail after the DA said to release him tells you everything you need to know about their mentality. It's all about EGO.
The ending was infuriating. The cops knew they were wrong and still had a massive power trip asking the guy if he wants to go to jail and then threatened his CDL. All after being told by multiple people higher up then them, including the assistant DA, that their stop and arrest weren’t warranted. That cop is a menace, he started and ended the encounter like a coked up grizzly bear.

The very start of contact was at a 10. They have no single articulable fact this man has done anything illegal. Most reasonable officers would’ve tried doing some investigating first as well as approach like a calm and professional manner.
Not ridiculous, terroristic threats. That's what they'd charge me with if I did it to them. The cops ARE a threat, their presence carries a threat of physical and legal force. There is no reason to threaten a suspect with assault and physical harm. There is an argument to warn them that if they don't comply, they may get hurt, but even that would need to be delivered very calmly to not simply be a threat of violence. This was a set of threats of deadly force, assault and kidnapping; they just let the guy go eventually. No harm no foul, right? I'm not sure that's how kidnapping normally works.
The cop literally told the DA he didn’t want to take the guy to jail, then minutes later told his fellow officers that he really wants to take the guy to jail. Can’t believe a word this liar says.

And then I saw videos like this and realized, oh, they LITERALLY treat it like GTAV but IRL.
@@atashgallagher5139 no ma'am or sir. That cop said he really wanted to take him to jail. Turned it up with the caption on and replayed it.
@@atashgallagher5139he/they were already told that didn't have enough to take him to arrest him so why would he say he really don't want to take him to jail? And as riled up as he/they were, he wanted that man to give him a reason. He wanted him to raise his voice or fight them so they could justify an arrest.
He had to go run his mouth to the driver after he was told to let him go. I hate anyone who puts that clown suit on
"you're held to a higher standard than most people" - unlike cops, who are rarely held accountable
Can someone explain to me why the hell every police department seems to have "policy", while there's still laws on the books?
“I really want to take him to jail.” Dude needs to find a new job. He’s a danger to his community.
Def his prejudices coming out on that one
💯
The cops say (in reference to his CDL) “you are held to a higher standard.” Well guess what officers , so…are…you!
They're supposed to be at least. And the cdl is a non issue because this wasn't a traffic stop. He was parked on private property 🤣
That cop was terrified, there is no reason to start screaming at Someone just because they are parked
I think he pooped himself.
They always start screaming. It's SOP.
Didn't you hear? He was trying to protect the citizen's property! /s
"your about 30 seconds away from going to hospital" says it all
It’s a terrible thing when an innocent, frightened man is woken from a dead sleep in the middle of the night by screaming men behaving exactly like criminals, threatening him, holding him at gun point, beating him, then cuffing him like a criminal, because he doubted they were cops and was legitimately in fear for his life.
And he was right all along..
They’re criminals.
You're not wrong, but the driver handled this very poorly at the beginning. Especially starting the truck. Does that excuse the actions of the police, absolutely not, but he really contributed a bit toward this escalating.
@@ExSpoonmanas fearful as these cops seemed to be. Still can’t blame him. Middle of the night blinded by lights. Wouldn’t risk getting blasted either. There have been a lot of cop pretenders in recent years too so there’s also that
@@gatsu-l5bI agree with you…
@@ExSpoonman Shut fuck up, the cops are not the only who fear for their lives
@@ExSpoonman get out of the truck with guns pointing at you in the dark with bright lights is not a good idea….
Any little move can get you kill
Dude is sleeping and suddenly surrounded by multiple psychopaths pointing guns at him I can’t imagine why he would freak out
Pointing guns and screaming at him like idiot.
They're GD lucky that he didn't defend himself...after being suddenly awoken??? JESUS CHRIST, what idiots, cops are today.
what a screeching annoying whimp cop
All about his ego
Exactly
This has to be the scariest moment in this poor man's life and the officers are screaming so loud they are overdriving their microphones. horrible behavior :(
A police officer telling a person with a CDL that THEY are held to a higher standard is fkn insane.
It's the truth, though. CDLs are held to higher standards.
Exactly what I was thinking!
@@brotherbrovet1881- And what about cops???
@@brotherbrovet1881boot licker are we?
The point is police are supposed to be held to a higher standard. They are not though
Cops threatened his life multiple times. "We're gonna shoot ur tires" "We have a red dot on him". "We're going to send you to the hospital". "Our dog is going to bite you".
He scared for his life - I WOULDN'T GET OUT EITHER!!
And u wonder why people hate cops. All they want to do is hurt or kill someone over nothing. Why are cops so stupid nowadays.
One of the cops said "it's ok, I've got a red dot on his head." They were willing to kill him for not getting out of the vehicle.
He calls 911.. How was the police reaction “get the dog” and not “that’s ok, 911 will verify we are really the police, then you will calmly exit the vehicle”
They were told by their supervising officer AND the DA that they had zero probable cause, and they were still trying to take this guy to jail over nothing.
And that adds to these Bozos losing their Qualified immunity
He knew you were “corrupt police”.
I love that this guy doesn't think they were police because he literally can't imagine that the police would raise their guns at an innocent person.
Or maybe came from a place where police/imposters do this on the regular.
@@MessOfThings it even happens here, not as commonly tho. But plain clothes guys corner you in the middle of nowhere in the dark with guns for literally no reason, I would be suspicious too. I would have kept driving with flashers on until I was in a well lit, populated area, as it is our right to do so. Especially as a woman, I am NOT stopping for no one in the middle of nowhere, especially in the woods at night. Fuck that
@@DumbAsh00 That isn't your right.
You would get an evading charge, and an obstruction charge.
@@Nick-hi9gx it actually is. You don't have to stop until you are in a place you feel safe. You must turn on your 4 ways and slow down, but you can continue until you are in a well lit and populated area. Literally in my state law lol
@@Nick-hi9gx this is for Ohio, at the very least; "You Have the Right to Pull Over in a Safe Area
You have the right to continue driving (at the speed limit) to a secure, well-lit area where you'll be in plain view. Be sure to stay in your vehicle, unless asked by the police officer to exit."
A trip to the hospital he is threatened with...
"I really want to take you to jail..." Basically trying to force the guy to beg. What a shitbag.
@@bryanmack5410 He should have said go ahead and take me then. Let’s see what that nets the taxpayers of whatever this stupid town is!
Yep typical COWARD TYRANT!!!!!!
He literally had nothing but his personal vendetta against an Hispanic man, typical racism in Texas
"you're held to a higher standard" and "im out here protecting the citizens of San Antonio" the cop says after threatening, intimidating, attempting to illegally arrest, using excessive force, pointing guns at an unarmed innocent man, belittling, humiliating, and lying to a CITIZEN of San Antonio... absolutely moronic. How these bullies are even able to be cops is insane to me.
Delusions of Grandeur is a requirement to be hired as a cop. To😡😡
Muting body cam should be considered tampering with evidence
Abso-fricken-lutely! It would be obstruction and tampering with evidence for ANYONE else! Anyone.
