I worked with Phil at his Dad's lab (Phototron) for over 23 years, till the day it closed down. It was a big part of my life, So happy to see he is still going at it. Note: Back in the day we produced over 20,000 rolls of film a night...I really miss it
Wow! Thats amazing.
Great job!! Let's not lose the romanticism of classical photography. Greetings from Spain 🇪🇸 🇪🇺
Exactly!
I enjoyed this. I use the Darkroom pretty much exclusively and have 6 rolls of 120 with them right now. 😊
Thanks Bill!!
These guys have fantastic turn-around time and do great work. It's amazing what they manage.
This is super cool to see! I've sent countless disposables to these guys and I just mailed out my first B&W roll. Super excited to see how it turns out. 😄
Aloha from the 50th state. We're planning a "chase the fall colors" trip. East to West. The Darkroom will process all our film. Not one digital camera.
If you pass through the California-Arizona divide, make sure you go to Blythe, there's some great photos to be taken there, same goes for Williams a little bit up north in Arizona, 2 great cities to take some snaps, I didn't make it to Winslow, AZ, but I heard it's great too.
Absolutely love the darkroom I sent film to them twice already and the results were absolutely spectacular
Making a killing these days I’m sure! This was cool
I LOVE THE DARKROOM!
I used to work for a photographic manufacturing company. At a trade show I saw processing machines for 35 mm film that were taller than a person. You could have drowned in the processing tanks. Keep film photography going
Very cool. I’ve got a roll of Ilford getting processed there now. Cool to see steps it will go through
This was great! Enjoyed seeing the process. Must have been so good being there and seeing it in the flesh.
It was awesome :)
Noticed one of the roles hanging outside the dip-and-dunk had zero didn't get exposed. Someone out there was bummed I'm sure. 😭
Been looking forward to this video and it certainly did not disappoint!!!!! Awesome job!! Keep more coming!!
Thank you so much Albert!
Very enjoyable video. Interesting stuff there at the Dark Room.
Chris this was great. I particularly enjoyed the interview part.
Thanks Dave! :)

Thank you so much Cristina for sharing this, I'm one of those old guys who's back to film after many years 😊 could you please share which where the 3200 films names you were talking about . Thanks and best regards from Rome IT
I just started shooting film again and use the darkroom. Their website is awesome as well.
Thank you!
Great video Chris! Really enjoyed seeing the process and good interview!
Thanks Eric!
Great video!
very cool video. thanks!
Very cool, thanks Crispy 😁
Awesome video
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :)
justducky0522 is this the place around the San Carlos area. I always wanted to use this lab but it closed before I could get in. I came to the San Mateo area in 98 so I think this might be the same business. I did all my own processing but used to search for commercial labs for competition. Ah, the ole days
super cool and informative video!!! thx for sharing
Kayan Özgenc glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Was in a darkroom
I feel like film will make a return
Refrema is the best. Dip and dunk!
Great to see and get an insight into the workings of a film lab, even being here in the UK its cool to see :)
On a strange note, was this or the Darkroom part filmed on a phone? I am having issues with yellow bands from florescent lighting when filming on a phone and this looks to be the same. Thanks
Hi Richard! Thanks! All the footage was filmed on a 5D mark iii :)
