This is SO COOL to see! I bought the backpack and shoulder bag this weekend before even seeing this, so its so so cool to see this video pop up soon after! Congrats on your hard work, and wishing you much success!
really epic stuff. I've tuned in here and there over the years when i first bought my AE1. Happy to see this!
Congratulations!!
Looks like a great spot! I usually go to another lab closer to my house, but will swing by in a a couple of weeks to drop off a few rolls to test out their services. Thanks for the video!
Anemoia - feeling nostalgic to a time or place that one has not experienced before

"I opened a pop-up shop", not "I opened a store". Very, very different concepts.
“The last good long weekend” would be so fun as another t shirt design / chest badge
Amazing video man! The quality of your videos is always amazing and so fun to watch!
I've watched your videos forever man, so inspiring. Glad to see you get what you deserve
Also, congratulations on the pop-up!! Everything about this is so cool. The long weekend camera wrap has been essential with my kit since I bought it.
Amazing!!! 🤩Congratulations Willem! 📷🎞

Awesome, congrats to you both! It's really nice to see younger ambitious people doing this sort of thing, makes me want to start a lab 😅
Looks great!
Can’t wait to visit !
Willem has a pop up store on Flemish Lane - that's a nice fit! I wish you success and many enthusiastic customers!🤞
I loved the conversation about the different scanners! If I'm ever in LA I'll def come by c:
Love it!!! Wish you the very best 😃!!!
Willem! Jack of all trades! Very nice.
That is awesome man
All the very best in your endeavours my friend.
Fantastic, good look with the endeavor.
Huge wins for Long Weekend (and you of course)
Congrats 🍾
vix is so goated its crazy
great to see Long Weekend in a brick and mortar now! Congrats to you both in the collab 🎉
Cool video! I would like to mention that the only new film scanners (not the cheap ones with the screens on them like the Kodak Scanza) you could find today are ones made by Plustek and Pacific Image. They might not match the quality of Noritsu and Frontier but they’re the closest you can get today to scanners like those. Regardless, it’s refreshing to see new film labs opening up in modern day
Dope, congratulations!
So so rad!!!
Qué genial!!! Te sigo desde hace años!
Awesome Willem, this gives me an excuse to come to LA!! Hopefully run into you one day at the shop 🤝🤝
Damn 4 years ago you launched Long Weekend?! Looks great, Willem.
Very cool set up
this is awesome. could have a shirt say 'last good long weekend' too.
Love the scans from LGFL
Dude, this is awesome
Amazing video, congrats on the pop-up!
Bruh you've come so far in a few years, idol
I'll put this lab on my LA tour must visit list.Definetely a great place for photography enthusiastics!
I'll definitely check it out sometime!
Around 2002 I worked in a 1 hour photo lab in a big box store. We had Fuji machines but probably newer than the ones in this video. There was an auto enhance button that was used when making corrections. But when we were slow I would manually make the corrections. The lab became the go-to for everyone in town. I really wish I would have kept doing that work as a side gig.
Love lgfl vixxion and jmp!!!
damn back when doing film tutorial videos, to walking my neighborhood of coney island on the broadwalk, to starting Long Weekend to having a pop up store!!! Manz is undefeated!!!
S/O Vix!!! I’ve been been following his come up since 2017ish. Dude is A1 knowledgeable. Proud of him .
Congratulations for getting up and running! I keep a traditional wet darkroom on my home with both a Leitz Focomat V35 and an IC enlarger. I just mostly develop B/W films. For computer digitization I start by scanning my 120 and 35mm stuff with my Nikon Super Coolscan 8000 ED. Host computer is a Mac with two very large screens. I use both Photo Shop and Lightroom. I mostly shoot Fuji Velvia in my Hasselblads and have Color Services in Santa Barbara send the stuff out for processing in LA.
This is so cool, hobby turned into business.
Last good film lab. Home of invisible Sara 😂… anyways. Very proud of you willem
HELL YEAH
I work across the street from Kodak tower in Rochester NY. Elsewhere in town, the Eastman museum tour is worth the trip in the spring and fall. Can you imagine taking a photo and pony express'ing it across country then back before you got a pic in your hands?
lol been dropping off rolls here and there at last good but never really understood the difference between noritsu or frontier (shooting for fun) but I loved the explanation of the machines in this video and seeing the behind the scenes. The back of house is just as aesthetic as the front
Neato space!
As someone who works in a film lab, its crazy how 90% of film that comes through are from disposables. Organizing/sorting peoples film is also the worst.
Fire!!!
New Hampshire in the house. Woot. Live Free Or Die.
Damn, this place looks cool! Great to see independent labs thriving.
Amazing!
Best of luck! We are so proud of you!
This is so cool!! May I come visit 👉👈
If you bring a couple of keyboards to those scanner stations
Legend❤
spent a couple of years in London around 2002ish....hoping to make it as a photographer...ended up working in various labs...Kodak Express in Camden, Snappy Snaps...and Photobox....working away on these machines. Great times :)
May I ask what is the big film boxes at around 0:46 made out of? They seem pretty cool. Congrats on your new store!!! Been watching you since 2021!!!
Yes! The patented Willem plywood furniture designs! Maybe your next new business? lol
