- Honkai Star rail's universe is filled with all manner of crazy things from aeons that each represent a specific concept to humans who have extraordinary abilities. While the game is very fanstatical in nature, what if theres an actual reason behind all the crazy things, a reason that makes all these things possible. Everything we have learnt so far, from the aeons, the lore about star rails own universe, the pathstriders and even the path themselves all sort of point at the possibillity that star rails universe is a simulation.. at least I think it is.
So in this video we are going to explore this theory in more detail and see whether star rails universe is indeed a simulation or this is just a random star rail theory
Some part of this video comes from the actual lore while others may be speculation on my part as we currently do not know the full story. As such take it with a grain of salt as the point of this video is just a deeper dive into Honkai Star Rail lore.

- Sadly i think this theory is debunk by the fact Welt is here, Welt status in hi3 apho2 is being consider as missing and the Alien Space comic somewhat establish and explain Welt and Void Archive actually jumping to different universe.
- The reason why Aeon and few other char can predict the future, i think there is 2 different explanation for this:
+ History repeat itself, this is actually canon by the fact Fuli possess memories of previous reset in the hope to prevent it, so in essence through the past they predict the future. This is also somewhat evidence in ggz and hi3, where many of the same event did repeat itself eventhough it a new reset
+ Another idea is a bit hard to understand so bare with me. This is likely something to do with Terminus and Finality which why fate/destiny exist. Terminus is an aeon that go backward in time so to Terminus the past are the one with infinite possibilities while future is not. Finality power and authority is over "Time", what if similar to how HooH can force equilibrium on the universe, Terminus Finality is doing the same thing to the universe timeline. By the power of Finality, Terminus is actually narrowing and merging paths into only 1 path where it will end in Terminus birth and the reset of the universe, that might be the true nature of Fate /Destiny in hsr. TLDR: Terminus and Finality is forcing the universe into 1 possible outcome/future that why to people that can predict future, it seem like fate is a pre-determine path not an endless possibilities

@@rickelmehanwinckel2699 yes ofc that but what i'm suggesting is why future can be predicted by others and why the future/fate/Destiny they saw was a pre-determined outcome, it all becoz of Terminus and Finality. Due to existence of Terminus and the power of Finality, they r retroactively affecting the past, making it so that everything in the past gonna happen in an certain way that will lead to Terminus birth. That is why the future doesn't contain endless possibilities, it will only have 1 outcome, 1 path that lead to Finality. Any deviation will be corrected by Finality
I think there is a third possibility: there is no randomness in laws of physics. If you knew the position, state and properties of every single atom in the universe and had infinite computing power, you could predict everything atom by atom. Because no force of nature is random, if it starts with A it goes to B.
@@Gnidel true i guess, that is also a possible way. My original thought was only basing what is in hsr and my familiarity with honkaiverse over the years
- Nous, Fuxuan and Fuli(even Mythus coz Mythus relate to Fuli) case all use the "past" to predict the future
- the other case is Elio and Terminus, while we don't know how Elio predict but current lore suggest he follow finality so it lead to my second idea
I like you use law of physic to explain it but hsr do have a lot of thing that is above just normal physic
It's the "universe is a simulation" theory again.
They have the technology to simulate their own universe (the simulated universe), which is actually a crucial part in the argument of a simulation. If you are able to simulate your own universe then you are very likely also part of a simulated universe of a civilization that is the exact same as you are. It’s basically just a chain of universes that creates a simulation of themselves

Remember that imaginary numbers which is what a tree of imaginary numbers represents can be represented as vectors within the complex plane which these same vectors can be represented as matrices and well matrices are essentially what movies like the Matrix are.
I also hypothesize that the aeons are not gods but rather guardians of the respective imaginary tree. These guardians are actually 1D imaginary projections of the people they represent and as such because of the projective nature, they are bound by it aka the primum mobile. Also, the imaginary tree specifically selects new aeons to serve as its guardians regularly such as its attempt to make a new imaginary projection out of Sunday which the trailblazer (the player) prevented. Why exactly do these guardians exist? I think it is to protect the tree from external dangers such as the trailblazer or avatars controlled by the player. This is due to other imaginary trees perpendicular to the one in Honkai star rail (such as irminsul) being controlled by the bridge of reality (where the roots of imaginary trees can be found). This is because imaginary power is secretly hidden in reality due to the square root of negative numbers having no real mathematical meaning but being used to solve engineering and physical problems in real life.
I think that the process of being converted to an Aeon is a very draining procedure that saps all or most of the life force out of the individual thus only leaving the derivative projection and the husk of the individual left. This is why I am kind of glad that Sunday was spared of this fate as instead of a mere 1D projection, we have a 3D real person involved within the story.

Ive had this idea we are in a simulation or loop of some kind, with a few different ideas.
because the simulated universe exists- hypothetically, couldnt beings in the simulated universe make their own simulation?
Then comes acheron's introduction, the dream where she kills us:
"Worry not, for very quickly, you will awaken from this dream, forget everything that has transpired, with naught but a faint lingering of loss.
Pay no mind, for this forgetfulness happens with each new dawn. It is an occurrence that we have become accustomed to for so long."
Throughout penacony, acheron says complete sentences from that initial meeting. Which I feel is odd for so much of it to be repeated.
The Myriad Celestia Trailer, Rondo Across Countless Kalpas has this at the end of it's description:
"Only that pitch-black great sun knows the answer, yet THEY remain silent, never speaking.
Because everything that had happened will one day regress to the end, and everything that had ended is guaranteed to happen again. The universe undergoes an eternal recurrence under THEIR shadow, and Izumo is nothing more than the footnote for an ellipsis."
THEY refers to IX, who is knows what happened to Izumo, Acheron's home planet. Scientists and historians can't decide what happened to it, or if it was real to begin with that's to Nihility.
There are also some interesting things with the Dark Web and Device IX.
Acheron says at the option dialog at the end of 2.3:
"I am convinced that my destination lies within the depths of the Dark Web, where reality and the Nihility are separate.
In there lurks a secret called "Device IX"... One day, I'll reach it."
The fact "reality" can be seperate from Nihility is... interesting.
Device IX is pronounced "device 9" instead of "I X" like the Aeon.

What and Where is the "Honkai" is the Honkai Star Rail? And if there's explaination, how "Honkai" from Honkai Star Rail came to be? Even Acheron already give pictures of everything happened in Izumo and Takamagahara are on the similar scale and repetition patterns of Honkai Impact 3's earth/solar system
Honkai has been explained separately as different things in Honkai Impact 3 and previously of Honkai Gakuen 2
One more reasons why bringing Captain's adventures back is necessary to help connect more dots, as even Bronie appears in SIlverwolf trailer while both Captain & Ai Chan appears in Robin trailer too (alongside Aether), where Captain probably borrowed Ai Chan's communication system since he has lots of connections in Sea of Quanta including powerful agents like Bronie and even Durandal (since she's got closer with him in her birthday letters, Captain also broke the 4th wall very often like he's influenced by Aha or something (or he drank a lot of Yae Potions and Kaslana foods so often the it morphs him into a whole new being, sometimes on eerie degrees to the point of him knowing every happenings in main story (notably from Honkai Kingdoms events, Herrscher of Sentience debut, PTSDs from encountering iterations of Himeko, Rita's floriography of Remembrance that stimulated his senses, etc. These are all despite Captain travelling more often in SoQ, while revolving Hyperion around Imaginary Tree)
It's also noteworthy to pointed out that the process of Aeons contact with their chosen mortals as emanators are similar to Cocoon of Finality's embraces, as shown to how apathetic Aeons are when attempting to have their emanators or their entire bodies to provide or compete to bring respective Paths towards human beings, or any other mortal species too
an even stronger point along these lines is how every game they make has similar over arching themes, and how those themes mirror their company's overarching long term goals.
most people aren't aware but mihoyo as a company has big goals, and they don't exactly have to do with gacha games, those are just the money maker for their true goal.
like are people aware that mihoyo as a company bought and privately own a full scale nuclear reactor for personal use? or that they also are slowly buying up as much server architecture around the world as possible?
their long term goal as they have state in the past publicly is to create an artificial universe that people will want to willingly live in permanently. they specifically pointed to the idea behind sword art online as a reference to the sorta devices and form it would take.
so the reason all the games have a similar theme is because it references their goal to make their own universe, they will power it and run it them selves, not needing to be reliant on other people. and their games which fund that end goal reflect and explore various ideas related to it, and how people react to and think about the ideas presented.
If you want to adapt this theory, you got a gigantic caveat to treat honkai impact world as another simulation. Which is unlikely. This theory achiles heels are simply existence of HI welt and void archive.
Theres a lot of things that make this theory unlikely, but with welt I thought itd be interesting to consider him like the only person who isnt simulated kinda like neo in the matrix making him the only person aware of things (assuming its right) but again theres a lot of other things that diminishes this idea overall, I just thought it would be fun to cover 😁
@@Maevix3142 The thing is, welt is not the only one migrating to HSR universe. There is also Void archive. He is solium body created by otto in HI and he took otto exact apperances. Based on Alien space official comic, both welt and void archive did moving to another world and not leaving their body in HI3 to enter simulation like neo entering matrix. If you are curious i suggest reading alien space. It is mihoyo official comic telling the moment before welt going to hsr world.

Technically Honkai star rail, genshin and Honkai impact are all simulations. They're video games, and video games are simulations.

There's something in the tension between wishes and the nature of the universe. Something mirrored by Sunday's version of Order.
It's probably because of the stellarons. Each stellaron disaster is based around a particular path, like how Jarilo's stellaron freezes the world in a twisted form of Preservation, the Luofu stellaron reviving the tree of Abundance, etc.
When I first started SR, I knew nothing about Impact or the larger Hoyo universe either, about 30min in my impression of the game world was "This is all just a simulation."
It does seem to have that vibe but a lot of hoyoverse games have that repeated cycle or predefined fate vibe
I definitely disagree because of Hi3 lore, but it's an interesting idea none the less.
