yes I started to use probiotics and enzymes for our one dog esp (actually they all get it) and I also use raw that is from Sojos..Such interesting content ..never heard of this doctor before..they are finding out that it is soo important to use the probiotics..Our little rescue shih tzu mix had her "Mom" die from Covid and they were in a total of five homes before ours ..so you can imagine how confused and upset they were when they got here a year ago..Nala had diarrhea almost every other day ..finally she is better..but I have to really watch not to give her too much fiber..but they love raw broccoli and cauliflower as well as lettuce and carrots..I also give them apples raw with the skin..not the whole apple of course but they love it..
When my dog has diarrhea and I give him probiotics, it always makes him more sick with more stomach upset.
Thanks for the great content, Rachel! I am not a holistic veterinarian or a nutritionist, but I do believe diet is very important for a dog's overall health.

This information is priceless! Thank you so much Rachel Fusaro and Dr. Woodley, I forwarded this to 3 people before i even finished watching
Oh wow!! Thanks so much friend. I’m so happy you found it helpful and extra happy you shared it. Means the world to me truly!
Thank you Rachel and Dr. Katie! Our fur families are always so grateful.
Awe. You’re so welcome. Thanks for being here.
Its also with meat industry feeding livestock and chickens a diet that changes the balance of omega fats. Chickens eating vegeterian diet? They are birds who should be pecking at the ground eating worms and bugs! The industry doesnt feed them a species appropriate diet
Sorry my spelling was off I'm using talking text
really enjoyed watching this. I have one dog on a mix of raw and cereal and my Schnauzer + Westie is on grain free kibble and grain free tripe. I am going to up the anti on this .
I just simply want a list of “good”, holistic, veterinarians, especially in Richmond, Virginia, because that’s where I live. So far I found 1. Yup…1, and they charge $180 just for a consultation…
is there an overall test ( sylvia or stool ? ) to detect gut health and deficiencies?
Thank you for this 🙏
❤Thanks
Your videos always help me!!!
Thank you,! 😊
I'm so glad!
Really love this! I think this can be helpful to so many pet (parents)
Great information
Excellent information! Loved this video.
I’m so glad it was helpful!
You mentioned a stream covering this topic for cats.
Would you please provide a link. ❤️
Hi Rachel, my dog had a case of Pancreatitis. Which Digestive Enzyme supplement would you recommend? Thank you so much
Blessings and wow some really great info, thank you much and I appreciate it much God Bless
Awe. You’re most welcome. 🤗
@@RachelFusaro Blessings and raw goat milk will help my dogo with her poop right and any suggestions of freeze dried food with high protein for my dogo with sensitive stomach
How about if your dog has liver disease and the vet said feed low protein high fat diet. What would you suggest instead of vet vegan food. Please if anyone has some suggestions would be appreciated.
My dog has issues with pancreatitis, which food would you suggest please, thank you
Thank you for another great video. I just went through your list of dog foods. There are some great options but I simply can't afford to spend $125 - $200 a month on food for my large breed growing active puppy. My limit is like $80/month. I currently add fresh and gently cooked foods to my dogs kibble but she's still having tummy issues. I'm trying to find a solution but I'm on a fixed income and can only stretch out so far. If you have any videos with recommendations less costly food or things I can add to help with digestion, I would really appreciate that. I prefer a non perishable option for now if you know of any. Thanks for your time.
this was great. I learned so much
Thank you! Really informative video. Any suggestions for natural digestive enzymes that I could give my pup with her meal?
I really love this product for a good probiotic which helps with digestion. gussysgut.com/pages/daily

@@RachelFusaro thank you so much. I'm newer to learning how I can best support my dog's health and happiness through their nutrition and your videos and website have been such a wealth of information. I appreciate how accessible you make this information and offer suggestions that feel realistic, regardless of every pet parent's situation. I used to think that the most expensive kibbles where the best choice for my dog and I've learned so much from this content on what to look for in a label and ways to transition to a less processed diet for my pup. Thank you
Please help! Could you address the issue of grain free food and if it is healthy or not? I have a mini golden doodle who’s poop is like soft, serve ice cream, and it’s been like that for several weeks. I have switched him to grain free and it’s slightly helping but it’s not perfect. I’ve tried the probiotics, pumpkin, and nothing is firming it up… he’s eating Fromm grain free pork
For the record, I have not taken him to the vet, I was hoping to fix this issue with his food. He’s been on Fromm since I’ve had him. I just recently put him on the grain free.
Please watch this regarding grain free foods! ua-cam.com/users/livevFY3GmlMxi0?feature=share
Thank you. My dogs keep getting Giardia. :( we have extremely high levels of it our county. And literally a rabbit infestation.
Thank you for the video and came timely as my vet insisted that i feed prescription diet to prepare for food trial. As i am at ground zero of such knowledge amd this video helped me understand a little better. And also help me to discern if i should follow recommended diet.
And what does stress do with guthealth
#replay
How much is the gut health issues due to Vaccine? I have 2 dogs, one os partional vaccine and the other has none at all, and the one not vaxxed is healthy and the pup os not, we have major mushy poop issues and they eat a raw food diet as well
Which brand of pre made dog food do you recommend?
Does this mean the Adored beast Healthy Gut probiotics are not worthwhile as a daily supplement? Or worse, sounds like the vet states it can be detrimental to give them a daily probiotic?
❤
Sori, your guest showed her lack of understanding of a living body when she suggested testing the microbiome. That would give you a very short snapshot of the present condition of your dog' gut, but this state can change enormously within a short period of time. It's well known now that microbiome testing isn't broad enough to determine any thing. Flora change based on so many factors that are changing moment to moment.
Microbiome analysis are a fake money grab.
Sadly, neither of you are looking past what is being put out by main stream or slightly alternative.
Please dial little more research before you tell everyone that you're an expert when you're clearly not
She reminds me of 13.
My vet does not agree with raw feeding , I totally feed my guys freeze dried raw & chicken breast & veggies
Still get soft stool with my daughters dog
I just got the native probiotics
I can’t ask vet about gut health since they don’t believe in raw :(
From personal experience with my own dog, I had always believed in raw feeding until he kept pooping either soft serve or watery. I had tried giving him pre and probiotics, more bones and followed feeding guideline for barf. However, nothing worked as he kept having diarrhea on and off for almost two months, and until he completely didn't want to eat his raw meat, bones, even liver and green tripes! I brought him to the vet, his blood works are normal. I then decided to switch to gently cooked food. The very next day, his poop was much better, nicely shaped though a little soft, while some days were solid perfect. I readjust his food intake according to how his poop turns out in the morning, and I have found the solution that goes against the so-called appropriate diets. Well, turned out, he's doing really well with more vegetables, beans, quinoa, brown rice, etc with less meat. I do add collagen broth, nutritional yeast, mct oil, ground egg shell, etc just to make sure he didn't miss out on nutrients. I think every dog is different, and best is to just do what works.
@panther7681 I also cook to my dog, and he loves it. Hi fav recipe is ground turkey, beef liver, sweet potatoes, green beans, brown rice, Kale and carrots. I ground eggs shells and so far, so good.
