Corid has been used for treating coccidia. It tastes horrible so it's best if orally dosed and not added to water. If added to water, puppies may stop drinking. Sheryl at Revival.
another question: an Australian equivalent of safe to use allwormer in pregnant mothers in Drontal
so confirming would i use this - 1 tablet per day - per 10kg body weight (my female is 9.5kg) for 3 weeks starting before whelping and then continue with this for 2 weeks after whelping? and would i need to worm the puppies still at 2 weeks?
Kerry, Drontal is not safe to give to pregnant females. The Praziquantel in Drontal is not safe. Please consult with your vet as to a product that is safe to use in your country. Sheryl at Revival.

Does Dr. Greer recommend giving a heartworm preventative during the 5-week safeguard deworming period?
Good morning Katie, all heartworm preventatives are approved as safe and effective in breeding, pregnant and lactating dogs when used according to the directions. I would recommend to continue with the schedule you have for giving the heartworm preventative. Sheryl at Revival.

Question on Treating you pregnant female dog with Fenbendazole does of 3 weeks every day & two weeks everyday during whelp with total of 5 weeks treatment. My question is if you do that treatment would you still do normal treatment of de worming pups 2/4/6/8 weeks after birth?
Dana, if you're doing the 3 weeks before and 2 weeks after whelping, you can deworm puppies at 6 and 8 weeks then with safeguard and skip the 2 and 4 weeks with pyrantel according to Dr. Greer. Sheryl at Revival.

Any thoughts on Gastrafate
Good morning Debbie, Gastrafate is a prescription product. Because its a prescription, only a license doctor will be able to tell you if this is something that would benefit or how to use it. It has been used for vomiting, diarrhea, post-surgical Inappetence, Ileus, bloating, and colitis. Your vet will have the medical history to make the determination. Sheryl at Revival.
So if I’m listening to this right, we need to deworm the mom for 35 days straight? Last 3 weeks of pregnancy and 1st - 2 weeks of nursing? Or is it once a week for 5 weeks?

can i give the penacure and gi synbiotics at the same time?
Good morning Jose. Yes, you can give the GI synbiotics and panacur at the same time. GI synbiotics is a probiotic to help with digestion and reduce diarrhea. Panacur is an anti parasitic medication used for deworming which can sometimes cause a little loose stool or diarrhea. The GI synbiotics has been known to help with this. Sheryl at Revival😊

Yes, usually when mom's milk is coming in good. They become a little glutenous. Too much of a good thing will bring on the loose stool. 🙂We recommend the NurtureFlora for newborns.
