Even in the church I grew up in and used to attend (it was a Church of Christ) did not accept Christmas as having anything to do with Jesus because of the fact that nowhere in the Bible does it mention when the birth took place.

Wiccans are some of the most decent folks ive ever met. I'm an occult practitioner of another practice but I love Wiccan.
I find Wiccans annoying with their love and light beliefs, i am a witch from cotswold our coven is God focused. We take our ethics from witches of the 16th Century name witch comes from germanic meaning hexer. Wiccans do spelks for everything why waste the energy of Magick for stupid spells. Wicca came from many different schools of the occult. When i use magick i will find dead animals to use their body parts.

I know that most Christians believe that God is a good and loving god, and wants people to do good things. I believe that most people want to do good things and behave morally. I also believe that many Christians haven’t really read the Bible, or just read certain passages in church. This is understandable, as the Bible is hard to read due to its archaic language and obscure references. Also many priests and preachers don’t like to read certain passages in the Bible because they present a message of hate not love.

There are several covens in New York not just one.
I'm having quite an impression and interest in Wicca and things pertaining to Neopaganism. They make a lot of sense to me. Plus it is fascinating, so I want to be in on one. And this coming from someone raised in a Catholic background.
Many people practicing witch craft come form Catholic and other Christian backgrounds. Catholicism is so regimented and controlling and yet kept many pagan practices but tells you they are all from the devil.

As a practising witch (and wiccan), I just want to say that whatever path you choose for yourself to follow is your choice and noone should intervene in that... Just do what you will and try to harm none. You can be a witch and not be a wiccan, as well, it's really all upon you. You don't have to be a part of a coven (you can be a solitary witch, there's no shame in that). You are not obliged to work with any deities, either. Your Craft is YOUR Craft, so practise in whatever way you like to. If you have any questions, ask right away! Be blessed 🖤.

Surely! Witchcraft is a very old practice that has been there long ago before christianity even arose. Using magick was just natural in the old times, - shamans, druids, healers, even many christians were using the power of magick (which is pretty ironic since they were persecuting 'witches', torturing them and killing them for a very long time). Using magick was never really the problem the church had with witches, it was just that we believed in the Old Gods, The Lord and Lady, and we refused to bow down to the false christian God...

That’s your experience. Those are the people you’ve been around. If you met the Catholics in my area they would invite you to their events and treat you as they treat each other regardless of your beliefs.

Ok, so let get this straight this is suppose to be a secret world of witches, Now my question just how can it be a secret world that is made public for millions of people to see, apparently these people have not concept of the term secret...
We don’t want it to be secret tho, that’s why theirs a hole church in New York publicly being displayed otherwise nobody would even want anything to do with the craft.

In the old times we had to hide very thoroughly because of the persecution, torture and cruel murdering of those who were believed to be witches*, there were pretty harsh rules the covens had to follow, etc.
But today, we no longer need to hide that much. Wicca is a religion and not every wiccan believes in the power of magick, but witchcraft is no religion, it's a spiritual path, that's essential to understand.
*Needless to say, most of those persecuted for 'the sin of witchcraft' were not witches and had absolutely no idea what real magick is. People (especially women, but also men, in some cases even animals) were being hunted, tortured and then murdered. It's really sad, but that's how it used to work... So for example let's say there was someone you didn't like, - then you could just simply have blamed on them witchcraft and they'd likely perish.

Catholicism was the first type of Christianity apart from the Gnostics and so the pagan rituals were adapted. The prodestants were rebelling and removed most of them and are very plain.

Theres not any more sexual abuse in Wicca than in any other religion.
Unfortunately, predators infiltrate into trusted roles of society to obtain opportunities.
You can find predators posing as trustworthy leaders in any community, be it the Boy Bcouts, a Christian church, a Wiccan coven, or a high school atheltics department.
Wicca is susceptible to these infiltrations as much as any other community, but no more. It is simply a reality of the behaviors of evil, predatory individuals

Cats have been associated with us witches for centuries, especially the black ones. There are many witches whose familiar's a cat and I think that's absolutely beautiful, I'd also like to have one one day as my familiar (or at least my lovely pet), I'd give it some beautiful magickal name like Bast, for example 🤭. Familiars help us with our Craft and they guard and guide us, provide us with protection.
About the brooms, well, we obviously cannot fly on broomsticks (I wish 😒), but it is true we can use them in our Craft for rituals (we use besom for ritual sweeping, for example). In the past people actually believed witches are able to fly on their brooms, one day a man made a brave statement, though, that witches do not physically fly on a broom, but they're using their astral bodies' ability to fly (without broom). Interestingly enough, this bold theory was not deemed as blasphemy and it was generally accepted by the church!
