I too was solitary for a very long time. Got to point I had zero Interest In ever being in a Coven again. That's when during 3 months 5 members of my family (either by blood or by marriage) asked me to teach them. This Bird's Nest Coven was "Hatched".

Good vid people. I first joined the craft in 1968. Yes, I am an elder. Once I helped start a very large pagan group that is still flourishing to this day, but now I live in the country as a solitary. I am retired and never mentioned my faith at work save to one person I saw who was wearing a pentacle. We chatted a bit. A very devout co-worker did confront me once and asked "Are you a Warlock?" to which I said: "Warlock is from an old Saxon word meaning "oath breaker" and no I do keep my word. I think the term you are looking for is "Wizard" to which I will say yes" He looked at me funny :) I stood by my professional reputation and thought whatever others think of me, being Wiccan won't change that.

I dispute that, Christ is prophesied in every book of the old testament, thats roughly 5500 years of belief. I need to research Wicca more, but Christianity while easily corrupted, is a path to true fulfillment, I have dabbled in everything from traditional Norse beliefs, modern Satanism, to Atheism. The only spirituality that has lifted my sorrow has been doing my best to please the Creator, the God of Abraham. I have had days, and struggle, but the deep sorrow is gone.

Wonderful video. I am a solo eclectic witch with Norse pagan tendencies. I have been out the "broom closet" for over 3 years now and since then have realized I'm very much not alone in this very Christian city with the most churches per capita. Blessed be to all and may all find their own way.
I'm a solitary witch because religious structures dont appeal to me personally.
But watching this video of this wonderful little coven makes me feel almost envious of what they have.

Right off the top, I want to say I am a Christian. Having said that I don't think true Christianity and Wicca are all that far apart. I don't believe in magic, per se, I do believe Earth supplies everything we need. In fact that belief is backed by several pieces of Scripture. I'm saying this only because some of the comments seem overly harsh against Christianity. I do not judge anyone for what they believe. That is between the individual and God. I don't really have enough space or time in this forum to make any lengthy comparisons. I'll just reiterate that I don't think true, emphasis on true, Christianity and other beliefs are so far apart as we may believe. Thanks for reading to all who do so.

No one in my family knows that i study witchcraft, i came from a family of Christians and my country forbids witchcraft even tho i couldn't find the Nessesary stuff in my country i still try my best reading wicca books in my photos i hope they will understand in the future

Christianity is a beautiful thing, it is a guide to living a fulfilling life (for me, it gave me a peace that I have never known.) The God of Abraham is self described as the Alpha, and Omega, the beginning and the end. I study the religion of the ancients, more than most.(Especially Norse, as little as is left of it) In my opinion the Christian God either encompasses the feminine and masculine, or the old "gods" tore the feminine to pieces and dispersed her throughout the universe or earth. If the second is true, the return of Christ will see the rebirth of the feminine creation force, and if the first is true, then do Wiccans worship only certain aspects of the creator?
The difference is, witches back then were poor christian women, not pagans.

I kind of have one. We were all family before I began teaching them the Craft. Myself , hubby , 2 nephews and their wives. So we are more like a "Clan" of Witches not necessarily a Coven . Serves same function. We remain Clan status then any future Initiates have been adopted into the family.

@An i think thats a misconception perpetuated entirely and exclusively by individuals not at all affiliated with either paganism, occultism, polytheism or witchcraft. any person whos even sort of witchy that i've ever met or encountered knows the difference.

I have a question to you all, many years ago. A woman approached me, and invited me to the Wiccan worship service. Do you spot people that you may feel comfortable and connected to and invited them in your world? Cause it was at the same time frame I was opening up to other spiritualities and cultural beliefs. I don’t know if she felt or seen something about me.
I know this is several months old but I'd say yes. Many do develop the ability to sense such things.

I have 3 long, VERY long black candles. And I don't like them because they are too long and will take forever to burn. The town I live in has no where that sells short 4 to 6 inch black candles. And I'm really fed up about it as have been looking everywhere for black candles the right length. So...
Is it ok to take the original candles and just chop them in half? I have not used them for the spell yet - they are fresh new candles. But if I chop the base off, just to make them shorter , does that lower the potency of the candles? Would that ruin the spell that may be done later?
No, that's all perfectly acceptable for mundane candles.

I need to break my silence and describe an experience I also had when the guy mentioned his anxiety and reservations about revealing his faith at work, fearing stigma in a very problematic context. See, I'm not a Wiccan myself, but I have a lot of respect for witches, and indeed an incident at work got me extremely angry. I had a very silly, laid-back, underperforming loser of a colleague at the corporate office where I worked. She would literally horse around and joke openly about porn. Her lack of work was getting much more praise by the higher ups and my stress to tears was getting the short-end of the stick by management. Sorry, I revealed all that just to set the scenario from where I was operating and this was taking place. This Albanian-American woman by the way happened to profess her affiliation with Christianity very openly (I'm an Indian-American and non Christian myself). Once in conversation, only the mere suspicion of my potentially being a witch came up, a casual conversation lauding magical traditions, nothing else. No declaration on my part that I'm a practicing Wiccan, actively believing in witchcraft, nada. She started speaking in the most persecutary tone that if I ever turned out a witch that would be extremely weird and cause for problem. Now this lady was already getting a lot of free passes and privileges at work. I could almost feel forced into a corner. Had I ever innocently and casually laughed my newfound belief in this gorgeous tradition, feeling safe in the new paradigm of the 21st century, I dread to think what should have rallied all the other aging, bigoted, conservative Republican men in my department against me.
So, YES, I hear you, it can be INCREDIBLY unwise to divulge your faith in witchcraft paths to ANYBODY at work, depending on who forms the majority of that workforce and is calling all the shots.
It's so ridiculous because it's appalling how militant these ignorant Dark Ages relics behave about something so harmless and personal.
I believe workplace discrimination against Wiccans/Witches/Pagans is uncalled for and that this faith deserves the same immunity and consideration bestowed upon every other practicing faith in this country.
Lawsuit, if you will.

I can relate to a lot of this. I am not a wiccan, but I study another branch of witchcraft. I'm kemetic. But I too just recently came out of the closest of being a witch. My parents and cousin knew, but everyone else didn't. Then a couple of days ago I being extremely tired tried to put up a post on a witch forum. But instead of the forum it went onto my page. I didn't realise the mistake until my mum gave me a heart for the post. She's not a witch so I thought that something was up. Now everyone knows I'm a witch. I had an associate made a comment on that post telling everyone that it was witchcraft. If they didn't get it from the post they got it from her. Love the video

I feel like if his colleagues aren’t looking up anything to do with Wicca, they may not find it. However, you never know they may already know

Hi Wanda, he is blessing the witch to enter the circle they cast with "Perfect Love and Perfect trust" it's a beautiful blessing similiar to a Christian praying for you before entering a worship service. Our world is sacred wherever we are, and the beauty of adding religion in a witches life is opening a door to the sacred spiritual realm of Earth we are from. We enter this place with perfect love and perfect trust in our hearts and his blessing is reaffirming our goals in life. To harm none, love unconditionally and have trust in ourselves and our family even though we are not perfect beings, and when you make mistakes laughter is required, because when your heart is pure, love will always be by your side! Wrong, not anything goes, there's a rule: do what you want but harm no one, so "anything" goes out the window; next.
@@DocStrange0123 that's the same thing as anything goes. In Wicca there is no good or evil just your perception. There is no truth but ur truth. This allows for pretty much anything. There is no real consequence for ur actions other than a weak belief in karma. Wicca is also saturated with homosexuality. Nothing kills spirituality quicker than homosexuality or unchecked sexual appetite. The Gods of Wicca are the gods of sexuality and prosperity. It's basically Ishtar and Baal worship repacked. I challenge you to research what types of Acts were performed in the worship of Ishtar and baal.
@@lukesnyder9015 If you won't/can't harm anyone, no, it's not the same, if you are going to do something but you see that it harms someone and then you don't then not anything goes, it's so simple that even a todler would understand it. Also, I'm not Wiccan, I'm what some poeple may call (I don't but oh well) a Green Warlock, because I don't believe some things that Wiccans do believe, for example that wrong or ill intentions come back at you multiplied by 3, in my experience nature and even the cosmos doesn't care about that, I can do wrong things to others I just don't. I'm not concerned about the sexual practices inside the Wicca, there are too many people to claim that it's saturated with homosexuality, and even if that were the case, so what? As long as they don't harm others I don't care. "Nothing kills spirituality quicker than homosexuality or unchecked sexual appetite" says who? you? Your challenge means nothing to me, I mainly worship Cernunnos, what others may worship is none of my bussiness.

I always get confused between what separates wiccans from witches? Always wondered which I resonate with the most, maybe both! I guess I don't necessarily want to follow a set of rules which, from what I can see, wicca has more of? Please correct me if I am wrong!
Wicca is a specific religion. Witchcraft is not. All Wiccans are witches but not all witches are Wiccans.
Wicca is a religion which primarily warships the Goddess and the Horned God. If you decide to become Wiccan, you automatically are a witch, but if you decide to practice witchcraft, it doesn't mean that you are Wiccan.
