I own a TT RS 2018 and still love it to this day and chose it over the M2 comp... no regrets..

I'm 74 and have nerve damage from a near fatal motorcyle crash at 68 after a lifetime riding high performance bikes i find it very easy to get in and out of my TTRs. Unlike even my son's 435i. Corvettes and other sports cars are not fun either(to get in or out) and i end up on my knees stuggling to get to my feet. I love driving this car and believe I'll be able to get in and out forever. This is my 3rd TT (2003,2014,2019 TTRS) and I've always felt they were designed specifically for me! My TTRS is the finest vehicle I've ever owned! And the fastest by any measurement. I had a monster street dragster from 1966-1970. It was a 12 second machine which was fast then. Not a quality machine but a great street and drag strip car in it's day(1966 Nova 350hp/327). My TTRS is my baby. I've had it 6 months and have never seen another TTRS on the road or at my Audi dealer(Audi Henderson). Not in Phoenix, Las Vegas, or SoCal. But I keep looking!

I'd take the TTRS because in all conditions you can exploit the power. Imagine chasing one in an M2 competition, when you are trying get on terms but continually lighting up your rear tyres whilst trying hard not to end up in a ditch. For me that would just piss me off real quick especially watching the back of the TTRS disappearing all the time.

    • @StefABtv

Haha yeah the TTRS will defo shift in all conditions. Personal preference for me. I wouldn’t say no to either 😂

As someone who lives in the UK where the weather is rarely optimal, this is why I ditched my AMG for a TTRS. Few performance cars can get the power down like the TTRS.

Just to let you know, Audi don't say it can send 100% of the power to the rear, no Haldex system can - because physics! IF the front wheels lose traction eg are both on ice, virtually all the power will "go" to the rear, however this is not the same as "sending" more than 50% power to the rear which cannot be done since the front wheels are permanently connected. Advantanges with the Gen5 Haldex are all to do with reaction time and pre-empting engaging the Haldex clutch. The best power-split you can ever have is 50-50, and even that cannot be permanent and some slip will always be allowed since there is no central differential.

Owner of older 2.2T(Audi 5000) and 2.3N/A(Audi 100q) 5 cylinders with custom exhausts they sound freaking amazing, both have no cats, no resonators, and just a borla muffler all flowing through 3" exhaust pipe, one of the best engine notes ive ever heard

I wish you’d taken the time to compare this to the pre facelift TTRS both for aesthetics and performance. I feel no UA-camr is prepared to do this and it’s clearly what the subscribers want.

I have both a 2015 Launch Edition 4C and a 2018 TT RS and surprise that U didn’t pick the TT RS. The TT RS is easily a supercar killer with an APR STG2 Tune

Though I love the M2,for me I’d take the TTRS. I live 10 mins from “The Tail of The Dragon” i.e. US HWY 129 and the all wheel drive would be much more usable carving up mountain twisty’s esp with all the different seasons and weather we have here in Tennessee.

  • @Neil-914

it cant send 100% of the power to the rear. It can be a maximum of 50/50. Under normal cruising conditions it will be 100/0 to the front. The system by design cannot send more than 50% to the rear

Good vid. I was in the market for a new car and was choosing between this, the RS3 and the M2 Comp. Unfortunately there were no demo cars other than the M2 Comp so never got to try the others. Ended up with the M2 Comp and not disappointed - great drive. May well get an RS in a few years!

Stef ciao! If You will keep the 4C (pls keep it because the value will increase) You can have also a TTRS as a daily driving with wet weather (normal weather in Uk) Because it is the opposite of the Alfa can be good as complementary !!! What do you think?? Ahh by the way just bought yesterday a 4C black serie 1 (I found it after months of research)!! 👍😁 and for sure I will make some tuning!!

Any chance you can time the 0-60 to see if it does actually do it in under 4s? Some you tubers are claiming the opf has reduced the performance and increased the 0-60.

    • @Gez492
      @Gez492 5 років тому +2

It was doing 3.2 - 3.5 but now they clock between 3.6 and 3.9 not as stunted as the OPF RS3 which wont be sorted until they release the new A3. TTRS is still a phenomenal 0-62 car

Most are struggling to get any better than 3.9 to 60mph with this latest TT RS, as opposed to 3.5 with the pre-facelift car. Audi needs to stop publishing performance figures for this 'new' car that are clearly wrong. Still fast though!

I think the ttrs is the popular choice because of its 4wd drivability and raw straight line real world power. However if you are a cult follower e.g. with the 4c I would follow what my heart desires.
Bought a 2015 fk2 type r when other popular choices would have been golf r s3 focus rs gti etc. It was the unique factor and it was rare in comparison to the other choices... best track car with a LOT of boot space and other practical features

All German cars are all the same with the same engine wining like an asthmatic donkey with fake exhaust and anti social pop / bang. I will take your 4C Stef any day over hatchbacks, or coupes, the 4C is a sports car rather than fast pretenders. I enjoyed watching your content even though I don't like neither cars to own.
