Wow the first two neighborhoods are an Airbnb host dream come true area! Great area near the airport with mid century homes with safe communities. I’m OK paying a bit more for safe area. Thank heavens for exemptions!
East Side
i used to live in san antonio for me the dangerous neighborhoods are prob on the east and west side, but at the same time as long as u mind ur business and just stay in ur lane, no ones gonna mess with u, plus the city has some heart, its like a lil town big city
I love your YT name LOL I like what you said. This is a city of around 2 mil people. Any big city can be similar in terms of crime and density.
What makes SA different is the "Big Small Town Feel" Every area of San Antonio is slightly different in culture. Thanks for the input!
@@SanAntonioSuburbs no problem
Not anymore…. it’s like a mini Houston people are aggressive!
I’m willing to pay more taxes over being in a high crime area. To me, the crime is a deal breaker.
Yes, I hear ya but crime can happen anywhere. Statistically, it does happen less is some areas
Crime is everywhere in SA. Expect it, and just live with it. SA has gone down hill
A huge surge in population yields outcomes such as higher crime. San Antonio has grown as a city from less than 1 million to 2 million. East, West, and South sides have some tough neighborhoods. However, I have worked for the city in these neighborhoods and observed many acts of charity and kindness. Having lived and worked in Chicago, I feel I have seen high crime, and San Antonio is not it. If you are concerned about a neighborhood, rent before you buy. This should be applicable everywhere.
Haha, sound of freedom. We currently live near the path of the airport and it’s not fun.
Great information! We appreciate it
Yes! I’m happy to help anytime 😊
Move to 78207. Great house prices, friendly people, great food.
Lol Guadalupe and Trinity is a great investment area.
I live close to McAllister park near to the airport and is very rare to hear any plane! I love my neighborhood, just don’t pick an area under the approach and departure of the runways.
McAllister Parkis beautiful! So many great neighborhoods around there and extremely close to all the fun stuff! There is less inventory around the airport because it’s so desirable
I work downtown it's a nightmare.
Yea, it gets pretty busy. What area of downtown?
Live on the Northwest side, don’t think I have been downtown in years.
Most of the places you mentioned we don’t consider to be part of SA. New Braunfels is NOT SA! It’s New Braunfels. Also, there is no state income tax, they make it up on high property taxes.
Totally True Alan! Lol completely agree
I'm going to be visiting San Antonio next week. I hate driving in big cities. I'm a small town country guy. I'll probably take lyft most of the time to get around
"aand the reason for the problem is...."
me: Crime and violence?
"Noise! aand what the defines the worst neighborhoods?..."
me: Homeless encampments, drug use on public display, unsafe and unsanitary conditions?
"Taxes!"
Yes there are everything you said and there is more videos about that coming 😊
I want to move to San Antonio, I'm looking at a house in Southton meadows, what do you think of the surrounding neighborhood? Is this a gangs neighborhood? Or not? What about the east central high school? I see it has a very poor rate.😢
From experience, a good friend of mine lives in the area it’s very quiet, but the only problem is you’re far from retailers and grocery stores.
I lived in Helotes. The commute and traffic to Sammc was a pain though. I really liked it there; unfortunately, I didn’t get the house in the divorce.
It’s been 4 years since I’ve been to SA. It looks like the 1604/Alamo Ranch area has exploded! Some of those communities have some insane HOA fees
I thought worst neighborhoods pertaining to crime and violence not taxes or amenities
Yes there is crime and violence. I’m not allowed to say a certain area has more or less crime because of fair housing laws. I can quote research done by other companies on crime. Hope that helps!
None of these neighborhoods are bad by SA Standards…not even close!
He's talking about other issues..like taxes tho
How do you find out what the property tax rate is for a specific neighborhood?
You would look up the house on the county appraisal district website. Depends on the county
HOAs. I would pass. Just a bunch of bullies
Especially in Stone Oak, there can be 3 HOA’s for one neighborhood, it’s crazy
HOAs are racist
It ain't that bad here, it just sucks.
Well said!
Moving to San Antonio in August. You just earned a new subscriber Dude.
Thanks Zach! Let me know if you have any questions while you're here!
I'm moving here to in August that's crazy lol
Lol. All of san Antonio is fucking dangerous as hell, unless your ritch and live in a ritch neiborhood then your screwed. I live here and it is dangerous as hell. I hate THIS shit city
Same
In italy the tax is 22 % 😫
Holy Cannoli! That's a lot of taxes. How does someone survive?
Shout out to 110 Haywood Ave. New owners are moving in mid December
Awesome!
As someone who currently lives near an airport, it’s scary because as a plane begins to land, yeah… 😳😬.
Pearl district area
Kallison Ranch
Pecan Crossing
South bank
Got it. Thank you.
“Your tax dollars are at work…” makes me smile and cringe when I see that sign 🥴
Haha! That’s totally true. Thanks for the contribution!
Texas and Illinois have the highest property taxes in the country. I live at the Pearl. It's crazy expensive here but I love it because action is my style man lol. I am wanting to buy around here in the next year or two.
The Pearl is my FAVORITE we own an Airbnb there and we love it! It’s insane how many great restaurants, bars, coffee shops are there and all walking distance
@@SanAntonioSuburbs i used to visit the Pearl 10 years ago, but now, there's nowhere to park🙄
East terrell hills?
Terrell Hills is very nice community and I highly recommend it!
Fix your toupee.
The Pearl is a bad neighborhood?
Being that the Pear is located a mile or so northeast of the heart of downtown, it is an area with varied demographics. You have 400k homes right next to 100k homes, with tourism, very high end restaurants and gas station stores. Of all the downtown areas the Pearl is by far the nicest. Hope that helps!
From The Pearl you can throw a rock and then you're in the Eastside. Which is still pretty hood even though they're trying to gentrify it. If you're new to the area you can find yourself in a sketchy area pretty quick.
@@fartgangtv9143 I can't argue that! Thanks for the insight!
Awww my hood bad
Lol
I don’t understand why you made this video? Two of your 5 are not in the massive city of San Antonio and it’s only a list of tax rates? It sounds like your not actually from or familiar with San Antonio my guy.
The set up of San Antonio cities are very unique so to someone moving here, this was the best way I could think to simplify it. Also because if fair housing laws, I’m limited to what I can say. Every one has a different perspective and of a “Worst Neighborhood”
I think in my opinion. Once Covid is over and done with. Fiesta will be up somewhere between 250% to 400% in the spectrum of the population. Because San Antonio is a party town. And like to party...
I totally agree. If you don’t want to live in a crowded party area maybe the suburbs of SA would be better 😄
I'm surprised you didn't mention the medical center. That place is a nightmare.
Haha! What don't you like about the medical center? I don't like the traffic and the congestion. I really love the neighborhoods tucked away in there
@@SanAntonioSuburbs the traffic for sure, and construction. Not to mention it can get pretty rowdy there crime wise. A lot of stuff happens in all those different apartments.
@@fartgangtv9143 There are lots of apartment completes that are pretty cheap rent. I can totally see that. Thanks for sharing!
@@fartgangtv9143 Which medical center?
@@fartgangtv9143 Do the brand new apartment complexes near the medical center have high crime as well???
There is only one nice side of town in San Antonio and that is the north side.
I grew up in SA from 1982 to 1996. It's amazing that your comment is still true. I grew up in the ghetto southwest of SA. We all knew the Northside was the only nice area. Sounds like it's still the same.
Bro y’all people needa stop moving to San Antonio there is already too many people here. Especially if you not from Texas why even come here. True Texans stand up!
I hear ya. I’m not from Texas but I’ve been here for 11 years. I love it and I’m bringing everyone with me 😍 Seriously tho, prices are lower and we are seeing some people leave 😌
This is the United States . I can move wherever TF I want . As a Texan you should know the pride behind that. Be proud to be American and having many states to choose where to live. Lame
@@ColdSprite Well said!
Kirby
What are your thoughts on Kirby?
@@SanAntonioSuburbs don't do it.
Just watch one town hall meeting and you will see the reasons.
All small governments have pettiness but Kirby takes it to extremes. They even try to get criminal convictions on their political rivals on a regular basis.
I don't trust cops in general. It is sad when I feel sorry for officers because the politicians are weaponizing them against each other. This can not help the community.
@@SanAntonioSuburbs Seems inexpensive..but higher in crime
Pee can crossing?🙄😅
SA has been full of trash lately. Almost 3 to 4 shootings a night recently. It's horrible. I hate my city.
That sounds like a major improvement from the1990s when I lived there. Hundreds of shootings a month back then.
@@bassage13 bruh multiply 5 by a month. It's still bad!
Live and was raised in SA. Wow, has this city grown and changed! I lived in many other major cities for work but returned here with my wife to raise our family. I know I am partial, but given the same options, I would still promote San Antonio as a great place to raise a family. Having lived in Chicago changed my paradigm for housing priorities; find a home where you can walk/bike/commute to school, work, grocery, entertainment, etc. Buy into the best neighborhood you can afford, and with family, make schools your priority. Home affordability has changed significantly. You used to be able to relocate into a home here for $100k, and now $300k is a pretty standard entry point. There are infrastructure projects citywide, including downtown, that contribute to traffic. If you live in suburbs or out of town (Cibolo, Schertz, New Braunfels, Boerne), plan to spend time in your car commuting to/from work. Yes, we have crime here, and some neighborhoods have more, but overall, the residents in communities with crime will give you the shirts off their back if you need help. That's what makes San Antonio, San Antonio, we look after each other. In close, I would recommend finding a home in mid-city. If you can afford Alamo Heights or Terrell Hills (most Californians and New Yorkers can), then go for it. There are still many other fine, mid-city neighborhoods that place you in reasonable commute of everything. What concerns me the most is that the continuously growing population stands to outstrip the infrastructure. If you see San Antonio and fall in love, awesome! Otherwise, explore your options in Texas. It's a beautiful state.
I want to make a whole video on this comment. Thank you so much for sharing and I completely agree with you. If you compare to other cities, our city is an amazing place to live.
@@SanAntonioSuburbs The Greenway Trail system is another San Antonio gem, but I try to keep this a local secret. Keep up your great work in promoting San Antonio as the amazing city it is✌️.
5 San Antonio worst then names 2 hoods in New Braunfels ? Dumb.
New Braunfels is so close tho 😅
