Another killer tutorial! I actually like that you explained a bit of the tools more indepth. I find a lot of people “brush over” (pun intended) the use of the tools assuming people know how to use them, but you made the tools feel very approachable. Awesome work man. Thanks for putting the time in.
The Car Creative thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video! Thank you for this, Damian :)
Yhh been waiting for this one , love it another mad video 👌
THM Photography thanks so much!
Drawing in those contours is amazing! Thanks for letting us know how you did it:D
So Wi glad you found it useful!
great stuff as usual.... i know this stuff but its always refreshing to see another artist take the time to do it well. i did pick up on a few things but its funny how it gets more refined watching someone else do it.

Glad to hear that!
Great content here. Never thought of using the patch tool for this, you sir just saved me quite a bit of time!
Very welcome!
Sub'd, crazy!!
Great video 👌🏻
manolo garcia thanks!
Thank a lot for this tutorial, this is really helpful ! How do you find all these nice cars to photograph ?
Stephane Vanwildermeersch find owners :)
Very good video Damian. I was totally onboard until you started adding back reflections. I thought you were going for a flatter look. In my opinion it seems a bit weird first removing reflections and then adding them back in. I'm not into car photography, so just my 2 cents.
Actually the best car photographer/editor. Inspiring work man im learning a lot. Keep making these great work
iiCUBE OiD thanks so much for the kind words!
@@DamianPlisko im going to the track tomorrow i will use some of your tips hopefully i can get some cool shots!
@damian what is the command in windows when you click "command and click on the shape" ?
bro I swear I am editing the same car in same spec rn and needed to remove reflections and this is what I find, like an old gem
new sub my man!
Dilon Holmes thanks man!
Great video as always Damian......was just curious though, how much time approximately does it take you from start to finish to completely process a car shot? I know this will vary depending on many different factors, I'm just asking for an average. Thanks!
it really depends, some shots take 15 seconds, others take a long time to setup
This video changed my life.
rmp5s amazing to hear!
I would be interested in how to get the background as it is from the thumbnail as it is in your video... that was the main criteria why i watched this tutorial. I would love to see a tutorial about it!! Thanks for your help! :) Keep going!
Eptikz hey thanks for the feedback. Essentially played around with the hue and saturation + color balance
@@DamianPlisko okay thanks for your answer! i tried it most of the time with my pics but i wonder how ppl get their pictures that smooth especially if you have any light sources in the background i often have problems with those because they are way to bright i guess? dont know :D i will keep trying
Thanks a lot buddy! ;)
Any time
this is really helpful!
Harith H glad you found it helpful!
@@DamianPlisko one question, the light reflections you did on the side of the cars have sharp edges on the bottom side.. is there a fix to that?
is it a good idea to buy polarizer to remover reflection?
it is for sure
this is really helpful
Qianzhi Qiao glad you find it helpful
looking forward for a tutorial video about how to make shadows after using pen tool cut the car out.
Another way is to first make the selection around the reflection you want to remove, make a mask out of the selection and content aware fill the reflection.
The technique is very helpful, however I personally think that you take away to much of the shinyness of the car. But that's my own opinion. Anyway great video!
Jeffrey de Graaf thanks for the feedback!
do you know if the opacity and folow technique works on
ALL glares and reflections such as picture frames?
i don't :(
What about the windshield part? That is a hard part to retouch.
Excuse me, at 7:42, i can't drag the selection like you did, is this a new function in Photoshop? ( i use CC 2015) Thanks you so much
Chau Nguyen Graphic I’m not sure, you could look into which versions support this tool
Not sure if you've found your answer yet but that's the patch tool. It works like the lasso tool, but when you click inside the selection and drag, it should work as shown. I'm positive CC 2015 had this tool, but in any case that's how that tool works.
Can you make a Video, How to remove numberplates?
What if the car was shot around some trees where there's a lot more going on with the reflections? Could this technique still work or would a more advanced method be best?
i think this technique could still work to an extent, might have to be a bit more creative though
we need more sir
senti Beatz soon!
How did you end up bringing out the detail in the wheels ?
THM Photography dodging and bringing up shadows
Damian Plisko thanks 😊🙏🏽will try that on some of my stuff
This video is greeat on how to remove unwanted reflections. I still, however, find that the reflection I've removed is flat...no shine/no glossy appearance. How can I get a shine/gloss on the replaced reflection?
i believe i do show that in the video at some point. May require some additional pen work
highlight line is too much sharpness.. i think if add to blur will be better
The puddle reflection is veryyy wrong...
Great video, but please fix that inaccurate puddle reflection! Its annoying my eyes!!
Matt Bowler thanks for the feedback!
Keep up the awesome work!
Im trying to remove me from a reflection like directly behind the car and I can't 😭😭😭😭😭
and you've tried the same tool?
By you purposely not perfecting it, it defeats the purpose of a tutorial. Should be showing use how to master these tools in your specific scenario, which would give us the ability to use it in our own specific projects.
Good point, Im always striving to improve these, thanks for the feedback.
The reflection in the water is completely wrong. And please speed up your talking just a tad - I skipped through most of the video to just see some parts because it got WAY boring and tedious.
