Literally my favourite channel, all your videos are so nice and you help so much with tips to try myself. Been doing car photography for 1,5 years already and getting into Sony just now and your channel is great motivation for me. Best creator out there!
Your tip on desaturating white cars (hopefully works with black too) and darkening windows if I don't have a polarized filter have helped a lot. Thanks so much 🙏🏼. You are the man. Good luck on switching up your UA-cam content style. I'll be here for it brother 📸🦾
Great video, thanks for sharing! I've just done my first two paid car shoots and loved it. Old land rovers that have been renovated. One of them was a lovely light traditional land rover green colour and getting that colour spot on in post process took time.
Ayeee congratulations man! That’s awesome to hear. Green cards are fkn hard 🤣 especially if you do it at night!! Wait until you shoot an aqua car!! Hahah 🤣
Adobe suggest doing the denoise first. Wonder if it's worth doing an edit, saving as preset and testing a before and after denoise if it makes a difference.
For Car Color Corection I am shoting in RAW+JPG to know the color, its faster to found the same photo in JPG and see that real color, then founding it in a phone. Just my advice 😁
Mike, you export at 4000 px for uploading to IG? It doesn’t get compressed too much by IG. Most info you find says to export at 1350 on the long edge, what are your thoughts? Cheers!
I really like your explanations and your tutorial videos... BUT for this one i am really surprised, that you are using the repair tool or the clone stamp tool to remove distracting objects in your photos. Some months ago they released an update with the "remove-tool" - this one does the job 10 times better! I wonder why you are not using that. Any explanation why repair tool or clone stamp is your joice? Would appreciate an answer! Thank you!
Sick pictures and editing! I purchased your ultimate preset packs and they are amazing. But I didn't get the walk-throughs and RAW photos with them. Can you help me please and thanks
I'm going to always struggle with night stuff because I've got a crop camera from 2018 but hey I'll wait for that high vis vest to release so I don't die trying to do it anyway 😂
Love the content bro been following you for years you've helped me progress massively. However I have a question, I've just bought a sigma f/1.4 50mm prime lens I've used it and there is a dark circle around my image I was wondering what it could be
@@NorthBorders nah no filters however I've just adapted to it as I was reading up and it could be the fact the lens isn't designed for a full frame but idk haha it's also now my only lens until I've stocked back up as I had all my stuff stolen just last night on a shoot still got my camera body and the sigma lens so could be worse been needing a few new lenses anyways
Yeah I feel the same way as @ficelli4385 . If Lightroom has trouble with corrections, Photoshop can do a much better job if you know what tools to use.
Surprised you used such a high ISO and high shutter speed for using a 24mm. Could easily have dropped your shutter considerably and lowered your ISO. Cool work though, looks sick
Getting that colour right and not having a car owner is exactly why I would never do wedding photography. Nothing worse than an agree bridezilla chasing you down because, you got the bridesmaids dress colours wrong 👹😂
@@EsmeofArc I had asked under the last video what the focal length of the lens was, as I could only see that it was a sigma lens. I would have gotten the answer today
No more skill involved, now every dude with some canon reflex can shoot a million iso, give the photo one more stop exp, edit the shet out of the file then get the thing through the Ai denoise, I hate this stuff with every cell of my body
Its called having a full frame camera and high end lenses. Thats why your photos look good. Its that simple. Do this with an apsc body and kit lenses and itll look like crap. You HAVE to have a full frame body and high end lenses for good photos.
Definitely need more editing tutorials and pov videos from you.
Working on it!
The lighting from the shop perfectly lit the car. I was disappointed when I learn you didn’t use any strobes for the shot. It sure looks like you did.
hahaha lots more disappointment coming then 🤣👌

Amazing to the point tutorial, thanks man! Greetings from the Netherlands!
The tip with bringing down the dynamics and raising the satuation ist pretty nice 👍

I didn't even know that! Will try that next time 🤙

Dude you just changed the perspective of editing the images broo! No wonder you're him!
1:22 - 1:26 Peter McKinnon vibes 😂
What a banger shot! Very helpful insights - thank you Mike!
Glad to hear haha more to come!
The absolute UA-cam GOAT or car photography. Brill tutorial!

I actually loved the manhole and the way it was reflecting the orange light. Nasty photo tho bro!
Thanks for this video , it helped a shit ton
Nice tutorial! Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Great content!
more to come!
Thanks for the video. Every time there are some great tips! Love your editing style.
Used your presets for the first time in a car shoot the other day. So sick and helpful🔥🔥
legend! glad to hear you're enjoying them
Would be nice a video like this but at night with a black car. Thanks
coming soon!
@@NorthBorders you rock!
Hey thanks for the really nice tutorial! The link for the light stick isn’t working; do you mind sharing again
Thanks for this video
Hey Mike, why don't you use the spot heal feature from the Lightroom, instead of importing it to photoshop?
Noticed the man hole cover from the second the video started, wondered why you didn't just pull the cat forward over the top of it 🤷🏼♂️
I think your are the best car photographer in the universe
too kind man 🙌
That was interesting to see. Keep them coming 💪🏼
Can you do one during daylight/overcast and maybe one in golden hour ?
Sure!
@@NorthBorders perfect because im struggling with the opposite than night photography 😂😂
Really nice to see! whats your choice to work on lightroom classic and not the new version?
Grew up with it, just so much more familiar with the look and where everything is haha
sick 💙
Whats wrong with using generative full instead of spending ages using healing tools? I dont really know why you wouldn’t? Just wondering!

idk if you already have or not but, you should make a video on free editing apps and paid ones and which are worth it.
What’s your Export settings for print quality ?
The new remove tool in photoshop is amazing and way better than clone.
Lord. Where the fuuuuuuk has this video been at. I need this lol

Shouldn't have a issue with the AI denoise tool, I have one from 2017
Manual skateboard? Noice.

Subscribed literally just because he told me to have a shit one in the intro 😂😂😂😂
I like this new approach to the color balance, never seen before and will definitely try it out! Have a shit one bro
hey bro i have an issue, the headlights and rear lights make a giant flare on the whole phoyo

Fuckkkk bro I hope you have insurance or something 😭@@byronperris3451
Just a question, what would be the advantage of removing in photoshop than just removing in Lightroom. Dope shot as well
For simpler removals, lightroom works great but for more complex removals, photoshop is a lot better/simpler/more effective.
Yeah I feel the same way as @ficelli4385 . If Lightroom has trouble with corrections, Photoshop can do a much better job if you know what tools to use.
Hey Mike! Just wondering if you crop your photos when exporting and posting to IG or do you leave the photos and pixels as is?
Nice edit! And glad you’re not using generative fill, fuck that AI image generator stuff.
What do u use to screen record pls?
I use OBS 🤙

So I only had to wait 24 hours to find out what the focal length of the Sigma lens was😅

Nah bro,y 12 year old Nikon D7000 is perfect for night! So nah, im definitely not struggling 🤙
hahaha ok bro whatever you say 🤣
Yooo
where were u earlier ffs
You kinda ruined it when you removed the manhole, it felt more real and added a nice splash of colour....
Nu uh

I have an A7RV and a 50 1.2GM and gear does matter you are right. But I'm still no where near where I want to be when I edit pictures.
