PERFECT TEACHER! I've been listenning to Van Canto since Hero, I was so surprised with all that 'singish voices' that I never could stop listenning. To the Power of Eight it's such awesome album! My favorite since the very Hero, I feel it has reached the perfect equilibrium between the voices!
First of all: Stef, you really nailed that Inga part :DDD
After that Power of the Eight announcement I'm listening through different Van Canto albums again, also I started learning drums. And the more I'm listening the more it becomes obvious how much Basti does to make those songs flow, to prepare one for the next part coming, it's incredible, it's a real magic. Thank you!
Also... it is crazy how much the mixes of each album differs from the next, I like that!
As I was watching this, I was totally thinking about the drums, and if it's just a fancy click-track during this process. Saved me having to type out questions, thanks! Drums always throw me, as I am also not a drummer, but this has really helped me out. Have I told you lately how awesome you are, dear Stefan?!

I'm looking forward to the album and to seeing you live somewhere. The perfect thing for me would be to go to a show like Voicefest in 2014 and see Van Canto and Heavatar on the same stage. Is this theoretically possible? 🙃

Of course this is theoretically possible, practically it would result in a very exhausted Stef after the first evening already :-D
thanks for making these stefan, is it the same process with your heavatar songs? will we see an opus 3 at some point in the future?
Oh Heavatar is really different, because we take an existing motif from a classical composition and build it into a song. Good idea for a dedicated workshop ;-)
I would love to work on Opus 3 one day, but for now my focus is on promoting "To the power of eight".
