@@MadeByCrisYT wow that's awesome. Would love to have your thoughts on consumer products from development and manufacturing point of view vs as a consumer.
@@tespinal8 I've now been on android for 2 years now and I simply enjoy it. I started off with Motorola but quickly switched to Samsung. This device is a beast. And there are plenty of workarounds to use this device with PC or Mac. Everything is pretty simple.
For me, I don't miss iOS at all. Little details like smooth animations, minimalistic looks don't matter to me as they are already readily available on Huawei, Honor and Xiaomi phones. Android phones even have 120hz with LTPO display. Apple Watch, doesn't matter much to me cuz I realize I don't spend as much on smart watch as I do on my smartphone and PC. I only use watch for reading time. If it is for the sake of ecosystem, Mi Band 9 is already good enough for my use case scenarios. I won't sacrifice the flexibility in Android just for the sake of "Smooth animation, minimalistic looks and ecosystem(Expensive). If I work a little harder, I can experience those same iOS things on Android.
I’m quite the opposite. I left Android in 2017 and moved to iOS and have never desired to go back as the Apple Ecosystem works for me. The perks/versatility/customization of Android just stopped being interesting to me after I grew older as I preferred having devices that just work and are optimized out of the box. I’m tired of tinkering around anymore just to make it run better and stuff. I have more important stuff to do in life.
Those animations that people love about iOS annoy me, so I reduced the movements. Just want to throw that out there, if anyone finds them silly. Have a great day
I love my s24 ultra and galaxy watch ultra and buds 3 pro and galaxy tab s9 plus i sold all my apple products 15 pro and watch ultra 2 and ipad pro and couldn't be more happier ❤
Selling the iPad Pro was an extremely stupid decision. The Shitsung Lagdroid Tab S9+ has such a shitty tablet app store and stylus writing experience compared to the iPad Pro. And don't even get me started on how it doesn't support Goodnotes and Ever Note, the best notetaking apps out there for tablets. Good luck, and have fun using that cheap Shit Pen

As a windows users I miss Android usability and file system. It’s much easier to move data back and forth from my PC. However, nothing can compete with the size of the iPhone 13 mini, I’m just in love with this form factor.
Just visited an apple store and as someone from samsung i have so say i was disappointed, but their products arent bad, the culture has definitely changed
Developer here, what you said about developing apps on android being harder isnt true. You dont need to adjust for skins and form factors. You usually create something semi responsive, just like youd do with an iphone app or website
@MadeByCrisYT Yeah, for example, what I have done on my app to display a list of items is basically what we call a wrap around. Basically, when the list of items reaches the end of the screen, it'll continue displaying more under it, for example. So when using a tablet, you see a list with > 5 columns depending on your screen size, and on normal phones, it'll usually be rows of 2 columns, if that makes sense. And to make a wrap around, it's just an extra word (literally: flex-wrap), just like you'd do when making websites
On android apps are built to be responsive, just like websites. On ios, this is also the case. It's been the case ever since the iphone X released and developers were tired of apple changing the form factors (iphone 5, iphone 6, and then iphone x), so they made their app responsive. This is why it works well today with the new size of the 16 pro! You probably remember when the iphone x released, a lot of apps had black bars on the top and bottom because they were made with specific screen sizes in mind... which is no longer the case
I am always going back and forth between the two ecosystems. I agree how I love the UI of apple, but I love the versatility of Galaxy and Pixel. I think the watch return issue must be region specific. Never had an issue with an activated LTE version in the US.
I for one tried out the samsung stuff in a shop today. Checked out the Fold 6 and the watch ultra. 2 mins with them make me feel how cheaper they feel compared to apple things. Right from the UI, display crease, plasticky feel of the display. And oh that watch so sluggish and unwanted vibrations everywhere. I was out of the shop in 2 mins and happy the apple way. Fanboy? Maybe yes I’m now. I was on samsung for 10 years till S10 plus. But that was peak samsung. I think they should either go minimal like pixel or create their own OS.
@@MadeByCrisYT yes the haptics. So terrible on the watch and vibrates so badly. Its just vibrates out of context. I mean why would you want it to vibrate when you click the buttons.
The UA-camr, Made By Cris, discusses the things they miss after switching from iOS to Android in their video. Although they are generally happy with their Samsung phone and acknowledge its strengths like its impressive screen with anti-reflective coating, there are certain aspects of iOS that they find superior. One major difference is the overall design and aesthetic of the operating systems. They feel that iOS offers a cleaner, more minimalist look that is consistent across all devices, while some elements of Samsung's One UI appear dated. They also miss the smooth and polished animations found in iOS, which they believe contribute to a more fluid and fresh user experience. Another point of comparison is the Apple Watch and its ecosystem. The UA-camr expresses their preference for the Apple Watch's features, animations, and seamless integration with other Apple devices and third-party apps. They encountered difficulties syncing their Galaxy Watch with certain fitness apps and also criticize Samsung's return policy for the Galaxy Watch. Overall, Made By Cris concludes that while Android has its own merits, they miss the attention to detail, fluidity, and polished experience that iOS provides. They are considering trying the Google Pixel UI and are interested in seeing how it compares to both iOS and Samsung's One UI. Let me know if you would like more details!
Hey Cris. Long time Samsung user. And I have to say i agree with you on most of the things you mentioned. Especially on how polished out the animations are on IOS and the watch experience. I would say wait till one UI 7 comes out because Samsung mentioned that its going to be their biggest one UI update to date once they roll it out.
I’d miss playing Apple News crossword puzzles over FaceTime with my daughter. Our Arcade competitions. I’d miss iMessage celebration features with my family texts. I’d miss so many Apple only services but mostly I’d miss the connection the Apple platform gives me to my family who all use Apple. For the few in our family who use Android, we use their Google Meet but notice the lack of shared technology beyond that. While Android might be better for the individual it’s just not better socially. Not saying you can’t text or use WhatsApp I’m just saying it’s not at the same level of experience. IMHO 😊
I had Samsung phones since Galaxy Mini. Last year I went to buy S23 Ultra, but I ended up buying iPhone 15 Pro. After S24 Ultra came out I wanted to switch and I did - for one month. I went back to iPhone 15 Pro Max and there are good and bad things in both phones. I have both, but 95% of time I use iPhone. Why? Literally everything you said in this video. Small things like animations which just make it look like the phone is actually quicker and a lot smoother. Stuff that shows on lockscreen (flightradar, uber, Deliveroo and much more). I have Galaxy Tab S9 Plus which I barely use as I just prefer image and sound from my MacBook M2. I was and still am a Samsung fan and I’m not taking and sides here. What annoys me is that for 2024 where smartwatch technology have pushed far already, Galaxy Watches are still quite laggy. I had Galaxy Watch 4, 6 and 6 Classic. Moving from 4 to 6 was basically identical performance but there was and always will be a war between Apple fanboys and Android fanboys but in the end no ecosystem and OS wins. It all comes to preference, needs and budget.
