  • Though guys often like to hit the weights to melt off fat, body weight exercise can be extremely effective -- especially if you're paying attention to your form and use a full range of motion. To address this, we've asked TRX Master Trainer Marc Coronel to show us some exercises to help you get that beach body.

    @p90xtremefitness thats not really an educated response..... but TRX does provide education and programming.... helps injuries and trains SEALS and pro athletes... it does it all..... but have fun in your living room!

    it helps with people who can squat or are rehabilitating... remember that we take many actions for granted. people blow out their backs turning and rotating to pick up a baby :)

    can one achieve 17" arms with suspension training?

      Do them weighted, body weight is never enough to get BIG, free weight still der best way

      probably not. To work the biceps the best, set up the trx with one handle (where you do that looping them together thing), face sideways, curl with one arm where you are leaned way to the side. This will tire out the bicep pretty well. But mostly trx leads to a body like Randy Hetrick--muscular, toned, very fit, but not really huge in the 'body builder' way.

      @@monkeyb1820 during the lockdown in 2020 I was training at home with rubber bands, I got my arms to 17”doing high reps, about 35 reps for curls with the green band and a 30sec hold for max burn at the end of the set.

      @@Tonys_Podium I use undersun bands and without a doubt the bands can help build some muscle and improve muscle endurance. There's one guy I sort of follow named Jay Vincent who says that if you're going for size, slow down, don't do 35, do more like 8-10 really slow reps until you are feeling agonizing fatigue and have to stop. That is what he does--sets with slow reps until failure (often like 8-10 at most), does it like twice a week, gets a lot of size gains from it. I use trx too for certain things, but the bands probably provide more of the constant type of tension for building muscle. TRX is really good some stability, core, lunge types of things.

    Good moves, but why not att some movement in your sholders instead of just move your arms...
