Hartford is known for a Jamaican fleeing ground after they do dirt in Brooklyn they go back n forth along with Bridgeport.... Hartford and New Haven are always in top ten most dangerous cities under 200k but I think Bridgeport way worse new Haven now cuz of Yale n gentrification..... Springfield mass and Holyoke mass are always top ten most dangerous cities under 200k too ,listen if u from northeast everyone knows philly,NYC south bronx, brownsville, yonkers, camden, jersey, newark, kensington,Holyoke, Springfield, eastprov, Bmore,dc,Hartford, newhaven,Bridgeport,ct,paterson,Washington heights, etc
Nice job! Yep, that's the Westside, well, some of it. Seems to be doing okay based on a short drive through like this. Many old buildings demolished and new townhouses and apartment buildings constructed over the years. The new construction really helped enable this distinctive community to defeat urban blight and more important provide residences with decent housing. It looks quite good! Stamford deserves a lot of credit improving this neighborhood.
@@neighborhoodguy This looks more like Bridgeport than Stamford. I live in a Bridgeport suburb, so I know what this is like since I drive through these areas a lot. I thought Stamford was more rich. Is this the only bad area in Stamford, or are there other bad areas?
I'm sick people saying nicest hood I've ever seen...number one bro it's 21st century....number 2 gentrification has terrorized every fabric of every hood especially in the northeast major cities except philly ,some new jersey cities and some Connecticut n western mass cities with that said none of them hard-core gang infested/drug infested cities are like they were in the 70s 80s 90s n early 2000s....the south bronx, parts harlem, parts Yonkers, baltimore, philly especially kensington biggest open air drug market, holyoke mass the other biggest open air drug market, spfld mass, New haven ct, hartford ct, Camden nj, Newark NJ, Bridgeport, DC, providence, Roxbury/Dorchester....still have that raw 90s vibe but other cities all transformed to the " modern" starbuck drinking, earth crunchy, hipster yuppy dark walk puppy shit puppy yuppy rich condos, peace n tolerance bumper sticker wearing no farm no foods hippy hipster yuppys that make me sick.....very rare do u see hoods that are same as wen it was 80s 90s n early 2000s n if so show me.....phillys kensington n holyoke ma n strong n baltimore n Camden nj n newark nj are only ones n hartford ct....these kept that raw rugged gang infested drug infested look.....kensington philly n holyoke mass are 2 biggest open air drug market in America
I was born there lol in 1985. Its crazy because my mother n family gave me so much love as a child i did not really notice my surroundings....until i moved to Norwalk Connecticut lol That's when i realized i came from the HOOD lol
@@1uhot426 it’s all about family. My parents moved to Stamford from South Jersey when I was about 2. We lived with my uncle in an apartment on Crandall St. All of those houses are gone now. My mother would put me in a stroller and walk everywhere downtown and into the west side. Always felt safe even though the appearance was rough.
@@ivorysteele u must never been to Hartford because I been in and out of NYC and I dont see nothing that look worst than Hartford maybe alot bigger but more worst definitely not
@@facemobbnationConnecticut is rich as hell. Even the value of those homes in New Haven cost a lot. Crime usually brings the value down and it’s just 10 streets in New Haven that are bad. New Haven is no where near as bad as major cities in the United States.
Not the hood at all. I grew up on the westside. You actually passed my old house. This part of Stamford definitely needs some major TLC but far from a "Hood." Good video by the way brought back a lot of memories for me.
There's hood there but it's small like few blocks. I deadass saw a group of dudes outside playing Dice yesterday while there with friend. It's suppose to be social distancing lol. It may not be most dangerous but it's still hood in general sense.
I lived on Greenwich Avenue when I was a child and looked for the house we lived in and it changed so much. Stamford was much nicer years ago. I lived on Spring street in a very nice house after that and it's now gone. I lived at 80 spruce and that's still there.

I grew up in the Friendship Building on 28 Perry Street apt 12D, across from Yerwood Center.
Stamford looks like Westchester county in NY.. New Rochelle or Mt Vernon vibes
This place looks alot better than where I grew up in Philadelphia.
I am from Philly too, this looks a lot better than a lot of the nicer areas around here let alone north Philadelphia and other parts!

I live in this neighborhood it’s pretty calm most of the time the only real emergency’s are medical and no police come by
Shoutout my peoples in Richmond Hill all the way from HARTFORD
It's crazy that this was filmed right at the start of lockdown
Prettiest hood I’ve seen. No dudes chilling on the corner, no police scenes, nothing.
